We came here for Valentine’s Day. Given the nature of the holiday, I expected it to be busy and the staff not to be really friendly. That couldn’t have been further from the truth. We walked in and it was a laid back, relaxed atmosphere. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Our server was knowledgeable and recommended dishes from the special V-day menu. I had squid ink pasta with thinly sliced calamari. It was very good, and I was pleased I got to try squid ink. My husband and I both had pasta with braised lamb, spinach and tomatoes. It was VERY good and very filling. The true star of the show was the dessert, my server again gave an excellent recommendation: the Grand Marnier cake with pineapple icing. My god! I had dreams about that thing! If you go to BB’s, DONOTSKIPDESSERT!

Mediocre at best. Why is this restaurant rated almost 5 stars? Ordered a beer and the waitress didn’t recognize the name of the beer I ordered off the menu. The food here is kind of cafeteria-esque. I’m really stunned at the ratings for this place.

What a wonderful lunch experience. Stopped in with 3 co-workers(cw)and we all agreed this was a great choice! What we had: I had the tmb pizza… very flavorful and cooked just right. Lamb meatballs… only 3 meatballs but my cw said the taste and curry they say on made up more than the quantity. Fish & chips… cw said it was delicious Some kind of salad… cw just loved it Wait staff was excellent Manager at door, Barbara, also the owner, knows what she is doing and spent some time talking with us(bonus at sitting by the front door). Desserts looked great although a little pricey, but if they taste as good as they look, it just might be worth it!

Read the reviews and decided to try this place out for dinner. It was very close to our location. Very nice place. All the food looked good even the table next to us. I gave it a four only because the chicken in the Mediterranean salad was a little dry but the hummus(which I believe was homemade or was just really good) helped I would definitely say give the place a try.

I came here with two friends for valentines day weekend, it was a Saturday night and it wasn’t too busy. We had no trouble finding parking. Per the request of my friend I ordered a Cesar side salad(which was huge and came with this really good bread roll !) and the tmb pizza which was absolutely delicious and piping hot. All the ingredients were tasty and fresh! For desert I ordered the classic chocolate cake and it was such a big slice! I had so much left over. It was very light and had a yummy ganache on top, it was super chocolatey but not overly sweet. Bathrooms were clean, lighting was low and service for the most part was good. We had empty water glasses for about 15 min and our checks took forever to come but the staff was very nice. The manager was rushing around making sure everyone had what they needed so he did come fill our glasses. I paid about $ 30 total for my meal including tip. I would definitely go back!

This is a classy little spot tucked away off Hendricks that serves good food with some solid drink specials. On Wednesdays, it’s $ 6 martini night– and that’s for top shelf whatever you want– great deal! The prix fix menu is a good deal at $ 30, but we opted for a couple sandwiches that didn’t disappoint. The fish sandwich was good– a touch dry– but good flavors, good fish and a nice caesar salad on the side. The crabcake sandwich was also tasty, but the bread it was served on was stale and didn’t help the sandwich at all. Either crisp that bread up or leave it off the plate. The appetizer might have been the favorite– great fried oysters on top of a nice steak tartare. Good combo– wouldn’t have thought of it. Desserts are huge and amazing. All in all for $ 60, we got 3 cocktails, 2 sandwiches, an appetizer and a slice of cake. Great deal and tasty times!

Thanks, Unilocal! What a great find. Cool, hip interior, and Fantastic Service. The Prix fixe menu is a great value. Just amazing. My wife said her Bread pudding was great, and my daughter loved the Salmon. It was a great buy for kids at $ 6! Yes, you read that correctly. I had the White truffle pizza, and I got it GLUTENFREE. It absolutely rocked. I don’t visit Jax often, but when I come back, BB’s will be a restaurant I return to.

Went recently with two of my good friends and had a phenomenal experience. Bo T. was our server, he was knowledgable of the menu, and answered all of our questions. We had the Duck Wonton appetizer and it was unique and one of the best things I’ve had since I moved to Jacksonville. On Bo’s suggestion, I ordered the Jambalaya Pizza & it was a delicious and memorable dish, unlike any other pizza. I will definitely be back. A wonderful experience and a new favorite spot.

This is by far one of the best meals and restaurant experiences that I have had in such long time here in Jacksonville. Found this lovely place on the good olé’ Unilocal and how thankful I am that we did! Came here about 8:40 pm on Friday night with my sweet friend and we were seated immediately.(They do take reservations though) The environment was classy and relaxed I liked it very much. I started off with a Moscow mule and damn was it good ! Had the right amount of punch and perfect amount of tastiness. I wanted something pretty basic and comforting so I ordered the tmb pizza and a side Caesar salad. This was perfect for me. It does look like they have many other more elaborate options but I was totally fine with my order being simple yet delicious. My friend ordered a sandwich with the parmesan fries and loved it! One thing that you HAVE to save room for if you come here is the cake. I can hardly believe I am saying that because honestly I am not a cake person. I never have been. But let me tell you, the classic chocolate cake that I had here was the best cake I have ever had in my entire life. Not exaggerating. I ordered it along with a glass of Merlot(which was a perfect combo). I have been dreaming of it since it was so amazing. My friend ordered the red velvet cake and loved it as well I am just a chocolate lover so my cake was perfect for me. My cake was not too sweet(which I like) and fluffy! AHhh I can’t get over how extraordinary it was. Thank you BB’s for renewing my faith in cake and its possibilities! Overall, I cannot wait to go back to this place. It was such a great experience and the perfect place to wind down from a long hard week. Thank you again!

I’ve been here a time or two for food but I mainly go here for dessert. The food here is good, although I can’t remember what I’ve had, but that’s just because the desserts are mind-blowing and eclipse all other aspects of eating here. BB’s/Biscotti’s is in my Top 5 for desserts in Jacksonville. Annnnnnnd, they’re open a bit later than most other dessert spots. Late evening dessert craving + top notch, decadent, worth every calorie dessert = BB’s

This restaurant is AMAZING!!! It was recommended by one of my Unilocal friends and I just can’t even put in words how good it was. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. We started off with the Fried Green Tomatoes. I usually order them if they are available, but these Fried Green Tomatoes were the best I’ve ever had. I wanted to lick the plate clean. Soooo good!!! Then I had the Red Wine braised Short Rib… OMG… It was to die for. Best I’ve ever had. I read on Unilocal and kept seeing pictures of the Bread Pudding. I just couldn’t resist. …YES… It was delicious!!! You just have to try it. The waiter we had was awesome and he gave us a smaller order of it because he knew we had already pigged out. This is definitely a restaurant you just have to go to. I just don’t think there’s better food on the planet.

I went to bb’s for real food and dessert and now I am 100% sure this is a place I would be confident to bring friends or family if they visit Jacksonville. To preface this review, I never order salads. I didn’t even eat salads for the first half of my life. I am your gluten-loving girl who would always pick the bun. However, bb’s had a warm goat cheese salad with prosciutto ham, candied walnuts, medjool dates, tomato basil vinaigrette and an orange blossom honey. The goat cheese was stuffed in 3 large sourdough«croutons» that were warm. The salad was AMAZING. It was also huge, very filling, and I had leftovers. I have been thinking about it since I had it a week ago — and never in my life have I really dreamed about a salad. Dreamed about a burger, yes. A salad, that’s a first. I look forward to trying the duck confit appetizer and the fried green tomato BLT appetizer next time, but I know I will also be ordering the salad many times in the future. IMPORTANT: DESSERTTALK There are few times when I would pick a dessert over cheesy bread, but ever since trying the best dessert I have ever had in my life at bb’s, I’ve found myself dreaming of trying every single item in that dessert case. Get the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake or the bread pudding — the cake is perfectly balanced, not giving you the heaviness you normally experience with cheesecake since it also has a layer of regular cake. The bread pudding is made with croissants and served warm with vanilla ice cream. Swoon. You can come just for dessert — I have — and you SHOULD. Fairly upscale and romantic atmosphere. I would dress a little nicely!
