This review reflects the Store on US1. I spent $ 300 on a freezer special and other selected cuts if meat. My decision to make this purchase was based on previous visits. I would request a specific cut if meat and was very please with my purchase. I loaded up the freezer with my purchase feeling good. Disappointment was revealed once I thawed out and inspected my New York Strip steaks. These things looked awful. There appeared to be no difference in the New York strip when compared to the charcoal steaks. Thin cut low quality cuts of meat. I will have to think twice about further purchases made here. I have to question the value for the money spent.

I have been here many times and their meats are pretty good. I like their oysters usually there are pretty big with not many dead ones. Sometimes there cleaner then other times but there oysters. I like to also get their chicken wings specially if I have a coupon from the Northsider. They have some mutie birds with huge wings. Now for the beef it is a the good side not the best that I have ever got but good an tasty. The first time I was into Houston’s I wanted a ribeye steak. I asked the guy behind the counter I would like that one(a whole ribeye) about 1 ½″ thick. He asked do you know how much that is??? I said yes an I want it this thick please. I guess I shocked him but I just wanted to see how their meat was. If you are looking for a slab of pork belly for your homemade bacons they don’t have that either. Oh Yea if you want some fat off cuts(for homemade sausage) don’t go here they wanted 2 buck a pound for something that they would normally throw away.
