Firehouse Subs

Firehouse subs are straight… FIRE.
The Hero is where it’s at for me. HEALTHY heapings of ham, turkey, and roast beef with melted provolone. Firehouse steams the meat and cheese before putting it on the bread. My word.
The meat and cheese is so good that I don’t even allow veggies to get in the way. Meat, cheese, and mayo only on wheat.
Apparently the other sandwiches are just as delicious I just haven’t ventured from the Hero yet. Maybe one day.
If you haven’t been to Firehouse yet it’s time to make it happen. The staff at this location are all extremely friendly and the restaurant is nice and clean. With a couple TV’s in the dining area pull up a chair and enjoy your meal.
Something else I also enjoy about the Firehouse chain is every location has a mural painted onto their wall. And every mural has a nice, local touch. Check out your local store and find that local flare!

I am not a big sub guy. places like subway and all those others just don’t thrill me but for some reason I really like this place. quality is always on point. It can get super busy during the lunch rush but I guess that is good cause it shows that it’s a popular place. They have a good selection of hot and cold subs and even a rewards app you can down load on your phone to earn points towards free stuff. they also have the 100 choice coke machine plus they have the addition of cherry limade which is one of the best things out there. So next time you are in the area and want a good meal at a decent price stop in and make sure u try the cherry limade you will not be disappointed

This place is soo good. I love how they make their subs here, and I’m always happy to help out the local fire departments by rounding up my bill. I think that’s a great thing for the community. I also like that they use names on the orders and will bring out the food to you. The outdoor patio is pretty neat too. =)

Solid place to have a good sandwich that isn’t cheap on toppings or anything you put on it! The place is clean, service is quick and the prices rock. I won’t say they have the best sandwiches ever, but I’ve never had a bad one here! Their new menu offers tasty selections fit under 500cal but there are plenty of sides to change that haha.
Also, if you’re into hot sauce they have an awesome selection that’s rated from 1 – 10 on the hotness scale.

I already love Firehouse subs but last night I stopped by to try out their new 500 and under menu which I had yet to try before because let’s face it I like to eat and I always feared I wouldn’t feel satisfied after eating a smaller sandwich. But for free I’ll try anything once… food, we’re talking food.
Anyways, I was pleased to hear from the girl passing out menu’s while I waited in line that while the size of the sandwich is smaller (less bread = less calories) they actually still have the same amount of meat as their medium subs. I decided to try the Turkey & Cranberry because I just love the flavors of Thanksgiving.
I had a short wait, but considering how many people were also partaking in the freeness of food it was not bad at all. I got mine to go and headed home to try it out.
I LOVED this sandwich and will definitely be ordering off this new menu more often now! I felt like the sandwich was the perfect size, satisfying and delicious!

As a new resident to Jacksonville, I really don’t understand why this city is so saturated with firehouse subs.
Is it because they donate money to firefighters?
Is it because they give you free food on your birthday?
Subs cost around $ ⁷⁄₈ for a 12 inch. We tried the turkey bacon ranch and the firehouse hero sub. The bread of the subs became soggy from the toppings and the meat was lacking zest and flavor. We also found the lack of chicken options disappointing.
Hurry someone and please open up a Cousin Subs in this town.

You can get a free sub on your birthday at this place and they are pretty good. I like the order from your phone before you arrive feature so you can be in a hurry and still get a good sub instead of yucky dollar menu drive thru. The philly cheese steak was decent and I love the brisk. There are a wide variety of sauces, bbq and hot that you can try here. They do catering and have cute little red fireman hats for the children.

The co-​workers and I have gone to this location a couple of times the past couple of weeks and enjoy it every time. They are fast which is a big deal when you get an hour for lunch and it takes about 8 to get to the parking lot at work. They are friendly which is also great when you are trying to spend an hour away from a busy work day. What we like, too, is that it’s a bigger location. Most of the Firehouse places I have been to have been on the smaller side and you are bumping into people or feel like they are sitting in your lap. This location has plenty of room and they bring your order right to your table. They are super friendly and it’s become one of the better lunch spots for us.
