I was really impressed – when I walked in for my appointment, they took me right away. Everyone was very friendly. All the equipment was really clean, which is important to me, because the last place I went to all the equipment they put on my face smelled like Other People’s greasy hair and bad breath.

I was recomended to this office by a friend. Dr. Favale is my doc. The care I receive here everytime is remarkable. I actually look forward to going. It’s like going to a spa for your eyes. Dr. Favale takes his time and the prescription is always perfect. You can tell that he thoroughly enjoys what he does and all the staff are friendly and helpful. This place is awesome!

I came in with trauma to my right eye. Initially we were caught off guard when the receptionist stated that our insurance would not cover the visit. We left the office and as we thought about it in the car for a moment and do to the pain I was in we opted to pay out of pocket for what needed to be done. who better to trust with your eyes than the eye doctor. That being said efforts to relieve the pain were applied. I was elated when the pain was minimized. The problem was identified quickly and a remedy applied. I am Very thankful for the efforts of the team through my endeavor.

My wife was having trouble seeing for the last couple of months or so, so I told her to go see Dr Gary Akel a family friend and my Optometrist for the last 30 years or so. Finally she gave in and made an appointment to see Gary. So on that fateful day I drove her to his office and sat with her as he told her she had a cataract on her right eye and she needed to go see a specialist. He recommended 3 or 4 different Cataract specialist. Not knowing any of them as we have never needed their services before I asked Gary which one he would go to if it was a cataract in his or his wife’s eye and he unhesitatingly said Dr Gilbert in the Dillon Building at St. Vincents. So I said that’s good enough for me and Dr Akel had his nurse call down there and make my wife an appointment. This is typical of the great caring service that Dr Akel gives to all of his patients. I highly recommend him to everyone.

I can see and these people can prove it! Great staff, great location and always open to fit me in.

I have been seeing Dr. Favale for years and the eye care experience is amazing. The exam is comprehensive and he really takes his time to listen to you. The staff is knowledgeable and prompt. They answer all of your questions and make you feel comfortable. The office is clean and well kept. The wait time is non-​existant. You will not be disappointed in the care you receive. They have a very large selection of glasses to choose from as well and really know their product.
