Dos Gatos provides a pleasant experience if you choose to spend your evening downtown. They offer a wide variety of cocktails, shots, and beers. Their plate ideas are creative and affordable. It is a mixed drink with an accompanying beer. There is a nice set up in the back if you wish to have more space. The bar is usually pretty crowded but the bartenders do a good job managing it. As well it is smoke free inside but people smoke outside and bring their drinks with them.

Excellent downtown bar! Fabulous bartenders that love their job! A must if you are attending an event across the street. Thanks Tommy, Sam, Smitty for taking care of these out of towners! Excellent cocktails made from fresh everything!

My favorite bar/lounge and my reg place for a fri or sat night. I love the relaxed and warm ambiance, feels like im having craft cocktails in the comfort of my home with friends and good music! All of the bartenders, waitresses, and staff are very friendly and hospitable, and always steer you in the right direction for a drink that will fit your tastes. I’ve tried many of their craft cocktails, the orange jalapeño margarita and smoky tequila are two of my favorites. The brick walls and leather combo give the place a dark eclectic vibe that not a lot of places can pull off. If you’re looking for an upscale lounge this is def the only place to go!

Awesome bar and awesome cocktails prepped with plenty of pizazz! Drinks are creative and reasonably priced. Bar tenders are all top notch, even the door man was on point! Would recommend you bring cash instead of using a card for tab only because they are so busy, and the only other negative remark is the music was a bit too loud through the whole house. No place to «lounge» and converse with friends. Keep it up two cats!

Dos Gatos is an awesome bar. The aesthetic on the inside is extremely well done and gives off relaxed, loungy vibes. The drinks are rather pricey, but that is because all of the ingredients are premium and they are worth the occasional splurge. A highlight for me is the Trader Vic’s Mai Tai, served in a tiki bowl with a «volcano» center. Very tasty drink, and due to its size it is a relative bargain. I don’t think it is a bar to spend an entire night at, but definitely a great place to start or end the night(or to spend the middle for that matter)

If you really want a superb cocktail come to Dos Gatos! They have your twists on classics as well as unique creations that never disappoint. Conveniently located across from the Florida Theatre, it is a must preshow stop to warm up with some tasty drinks & socializing. Ambience is intimately lit & richly retro decorated. Sometimes it can be crowded so get there early on Artwalk Wed or other popular nights.

One of the most retro-vibed place in downtown Jax!!! Their season flavors of drinks are one of a kind creations: Red Dawn to start & follow with Orange Jalapeño Margarita makes for a great evening before a show at the Florida Theater across the street! Meeting celebs is a major Plus here… meeting the music director for India Arie(signed our CDs!) & most importantly sitting beside Nick Swartson(pic of course) before his show was one of the best evenings!!!

I spent a good portion of the afternoon/evening here on a Monday. The group I was with on a business trip, was kinda a rowdy bunch. Sam held her own and kept us in line. If I’m back in the area, I will definitely be back here!

Drink options are yummy! A little pricey for the area, but worth it! The atmosphere was quiet/laid back until 11pm hit. Then the younger crowd strolled in. So keep that in mind depending on the atmosphere you’re wanting. I plan to return soon!

Dos Gatos is a DTJax institution. A dark and richly appointed rock and roll lounge, it has some of the best handcrafted cocktails I’ve ever had. The jalapeño margarita is a favorite if you can stand the heat and the smooth criminal is frothy deliciousness. This is one of my favorite places to go for happy hour after work, for trivia on Thursday nights or after show at the Florida Theatre. Always great music, great staff and great times.

Best bar in Jacksonville! We love it here. Top quality drinks. If you are looking for nice and strong hand crafted drinks, this is your spot. Every time I go here it’s always packed and they have at least 4 bartenders working. Your wait time will be short. Try the drink Grandma Cough Syrup. It only takes one.

Holy crap, the music here will have you dancing even on just one drink! And the bartenders sing The Thong Song! Can’t get better than that!

Dos Gatos is one of my favorite bars in Jacksonville. It is a fun and swanky place. The cocktails are delicious and strong. I like the set up and all of the seating. The bar is a good size and its a fun place to go drink after a Jags game. If you are in Jacksonville for the weekend I would definitely recommend checking out Dos Gatos. I’ve never had a cocktail I didn’t like at Dos Gatos. The music and the vibe always make for a great time. I recommend the Fresh Air or the Red Dawn if you like ginger beer. Both are great choices!!!

Stopped in to Dos Gators the other night, just to duck out the rain, but wondered why I don’t get here to this popular spot more often. The beer and wine selection are impressive, and the cocktails are superior. If you like vodka, the Red Dawn is amazing! They muddle fresh herbs and berries to craft fresh, interesting drinks. The also have other other unique ingredients like the jalapenos in the orange margarita. Delicious!

While at One Spark we walked around and felt it was time for a drink .this place caught our eye as it was right in front of us. The security guy welcomed us and said we should try something new. The Lady ordered the Orange Jalapeño margarita and I had something I can’t pronounce. We got the drinks to go but uh oh .it’s raining outside so we stayed walked to the back & walked into a set being played 21957(that’s their name) cool sounding band… nice comfortable atmosphere we will be back

If you like a cozy laid back bar with innovative craft drinks … This is your place ! I enjoyed my jalapeño orange margarita. It has a spicy kick to it! However it really good. She let me taste it before she finished to see if I could handle the spice. Well she had to add some more whatever because it was going to kick my butt in the end ! Lol! It’s absolutely different but give it a try. It was One Spark so the bar was packed but they were serving as fast as they could. I would come back. They had a live band they were good and funny that we sat with the bands family ! Cool #21957

Loved the Old Fashioned cocktail I had here a few weekends ago. If you haven’t been, this place is a very cool cozy atmosphere with great drinks. The bartender even put way more time and energy into my wife’s mocktail(since she’s pregnant).

I should’ve written a review years ago when we first started going to this fine establishment. The cocktails are as delectable as the witty descriptions of them. Unlike the Mighty Casey at the Bat, DG’s Casey does not strike out with his bartending skills. The Door Men are always gentlemen & never boorish, but I do miss Quinton and his zombie cocktail. A beautiful bar to people watch on Friday or Saturday nights(since the decibel level is high when it’s crowded) A lovely lounge to talk and elegantly throw back a couple on other less cheek to jowel evenings when you don’t have to climb into the person’s lap and press your lips to his or her ear in order to be heard over the music(which is always good). I enjoy watching the inked up lady bartenders do their thing. The location across from the Florida Theater is pretty sweet. I am definitely happy to Jay walk across the street to experience some Joy at DG.
