Tessa does an amazing job. I always leave happy and she never disappoints. It is a great place to get a haircut and I highly recommend Cortello Salon.

Great customer service

Kayla never disappoints with my cut and color. Stephanie is also very solid when she colors my hair. I will typically have Stephanie color my hair around spring and summer (lighter colors) and have Kayla so my coloring for fall and winger months (darker colors). I love that they both always recommend great products for what my hair needs at the time and won’t try and get you to buy something you don’t need. These ladies are great at what they do and are such great, wonderful, and down to earth people. I guarantee you will leave with nothing short of perfection if either of these ladies work their magic on your hair!

Extremely happy with everything! Cortello is not only pleasing to the eye, but the staff are wonderful! Jen was my stylist today and she nailed my look! She was very tentative and courteous! I will definitely be rescheduling my next appointment here! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED!

This is the best salon I’ve been to! The head massage is great, and I highly recommend Sam! The products are great, and it is a great experience!

Long story short, they did not do a good job on my hair color and blowout the first time I was there. I called and spoke with the manager and explained the problem, she was very nice, professional and eager to remedy the situation. They got me an appointment the following day with a master stylist. She did a good job, not great because there were still parts of my hair that needed to be lighter, but the blowout was much better. I am willing to stick it out with this master stylist. I’ve definitely had a better hair color job and style in NY but I think this is the best for Jacksonville. Very beautiful and clean salon.

Love this salon. I have been several times and still going! Coffee, tea or water & scalp massage gives it a spa feel.
My stylist is Sam who is known for her award winning coloring abilities but I just go for a hair cut. I would be open to trying someone else but I haven’t needed to do that so far.
The place is clean, cool looking, busy but it has an organized system to take care of guests. They offer classes for student stylists and it seems they provide opportunities for their stylists to grow in the company. Great customer service. Good job Cortello!

I came to Jacksonville for a wedding from south Florida and found Cortello on Unilocal.It was listed as best salon in Jacksonville and now I know why! Beautiful salon, clean, new, and most importantly great staff! Kara was my stylist and I am always nervous going to new salons but she was very knowledgable and made me feel comfortable right away.
Scalp and head Massage during the shampoo and conditioner was amazing! My hair came out beautiful, Kara even curled my ends for the wedding :) I wish I lived closer to Jacksonville to come here all the time!

They are the BEST with all hair BUT I have curly hair and i haven’t been to anywhere around time beside Cortello that can handle this mane– They are so Super friendly and helpful and you leave looking FABULOUS every time! Sam is one of the most amazing stylists i know– i highly recommend Cortello to all!

have been coming here for a year. Started off with a subtle ombré and bayalage hair color, they were very open to what I wanted. Customer service here is awesome staff is very friendly. I have seen two stylists and the one that I have been consistently going back to is Kaitlin. I will say that of the two stylists she is the one that I liked better for color. I basically tell her what I want and she makes it happen. So although the salon is great I do believe all stylists are not created equal. Not sure how prices run at other places so I cannot comment on that.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and the staff is just the best! It’s definitely a great experience every time; they constantly attend trainings and shows to keep up with all of the latest products and techniques.
I see Jessica and she keeps my blonde hair looking right-​despite the fact that I have dark Hispanic hair! And don’t get me started on the shampoo head massages!!!
They’re also one of the only places at the beach where you can buy high-​end make up, like Kevin Aucoin for example. Or you can pick up a candle or some cute accessories after your hair appointment!

So I’ve lived here a year now and been to Cortello a few more times. The prices seem to keep getting higher and higher $ 150 for a partial highlight and no blowdry)!? Is insane. I never paid that much in LA and now when I go here I am getting handed off to someone else to wash and finish my hair. In fact, she never came to check on me or even say goodbye after she put the color on. Just left me with someone else. Didn’t come ask if I liked it. Didn’t even come check the color to see if SHE liked the job she had done. Definitely not 5 star treatment and just because they are trendy by the beach, does not equate nearly worth 150 $ for a partial highlight. This makes me sad and I now have to start over looking for somewhere else to go.

I’d like to start off by saying, I’m the type to always avoid confrontation. I hate sending food back or complaining about service.
With that being said…
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I have had 2 bad experiences at cortello with a level 2 stylist (their best), needless to say… I will NOT be returning. Even after talking to a manager there, they were willing to lose a customer rather than try to fix their mistake.

Why haven’t I been here sooner?!
I found Cortello through Unilocal and I never want to go anywhere else. I had Jessica D and found her incredibly professional and friendly. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted and listed out options to get there. She gave me great advice on products and styling techniques. I left feeling 100% fabulous and isn’t that the whole point of going to a salon?

I moved to Jacksonville from DC a year and a half ago, and was so nervous about finding a salon and stylist that would be able to deal with my difficult (frizzy, wavy, crazy) hair. I was so happy and relieved when I found Kate at Cortello — she is awesome. I never really know what I want done to my hair, and she always recommends new styles/​highlights/​etc that I end up loving. I’ve never walked out of Cortello disappointed!
I’ve had many services done at Cortello, including cut, blowdry, highlight, lowlight, Keratin treatment, and eyebrow waxing. My husband gets his hair cut there too! Have never ever had a bad experience. Plus the salon itself is really cute, has lots of fun products, and includes all the «little extras» like a scalp massage and a glass of wine. Highly recommend!

So moving here from NYC area, I was nervous looking for a new salon. I loved my girl back home and never had to worry how my hair will turn out. So the first thing I did was go on Unilocal and there was a few I had picked out but I love the look of Cortello! :) Ok, lets get on to the review…

–after the consultation, she prints out the price for the services. This way, there’s no ‘surprise’ at check out.

I got my roots colored (hello grays!), and a blow dry. Kaitland match my color 100% and also recommended to do a glaze to freshen up my old color because we all know how great Florida water is to our hair… While she was working on me we chatted and also gave me product recommendations to help keep my hair looking great in between salon visits. While some might think it’s annoying, I didn’t mind because I like to take good care of my hair. I always say it’s like going to the dentist, you go to get a cleaning, but you also have to brush, floss and rinse everyday. So same applies to your hair; shampoo, conditioner, mask and oil.
The shampoo chair was amazing!!! The scalp and neck massage was heaven! She also used a hot towel to clean my neck so I wasn’t sticky from her massaging my neck with the conditioner.
While Cortello is not cheap, I don’t think its super pricy. You pay for what you get or is it, you get for what you pay??? Cortello and Kaitland, I’ll be seeing you guys again! Thanks for being in Jacksonville!!! My hair thanks you! :D

This place is like the Grey’s Anatomy of hair salons. Everyone in here always looks fabulous. I’m not entirely sure whether or not that’s a good thing, because even little ol me was intimidated the first time I walked in: «Look at all the pretty people!»
Anyway, now that that’s over with…
This salon is well laid out and just absolutely adorable. Their «Styleme Blow Dry Bar» is awesome, and honestly their blowouts are reasonably priced (restrain yourself from giggling, pervs). Tessa has given me luxurious beachy waves twice now, and I’m hooked.
We had a couple of the girls come and do our updo’s for a wedding I was recently in. They came to my house and were done within a couple hours (6 girls, all updo’s). I’ve heard Sam is the person to go to for up-do’s, unfortunately she wasn’t available but Rae and Stacie did a phenomenal job!
Their online booking is comprehensive and user-​friendly. I’d recommend it, considering the last two times we’ve booked in-​person or over the phone, there were a couple of scheduling snafu’s.
