I am so glad I started coming here! The studio is clean & bright. The staff is friendly & welcoming. The instructors have great energy; I like that they come around the class to gently help reposition you in the poses. I’m excited to come to class!

Lovely studio. I’ve been checking it out from the outside for a while but only now finally ventured it. Very clean, very modern and spa-like with great employees. I took their charity class Practice with Purpose and even though the class was packed in an 80 degree room, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Chilled spa smelling towels at the end are a nice touch. I’ll be going back any time I can fit it in my schedule

This place is great! Instructors are super personable and helpful. My favorite part is the cold lavender towels at the end of each session!

I went to a few classes at Big Fish when I was visiting family in Jacksonville and I have to say it’s really nice! Probably the nicest yoga studio in the Jax area. It’s very clean and new and it’s located near Ponte Vedra, so the crowd is a little more upscale. The teachers are nice. I live in L.A. and I am used to yoga studios that look like Big Fish but the Southern Hospitality is an added bonus whenever I come here.

The studio is beautiful, The owner and staff are very knowledgable, and professional. The vibe in the studio is so positive and inviting. At any level of practice you feel extremely welcome and comfortable, yet challenged. I really enjoyed the class and the focus it brought to my own personal practice! The assistance into what would normally be intimidating poses was so great! Thank you for such a warm experience inside and out. :)

Needed to mix up my workout routine a little bit and decided to get my stretch on at Big Fish Power Yoga. I had seen the fabulous reviews on here and had a recommendation from my sister’s circle about the studio. It’s an interesting choice — being in a strip center shopping mall that also features a Home Depot and a Trader Joe’s — but once you enter the doors, you totally lose sight of the outside. It’s a calming oceanic blue throughout. Plenty of storage shelves for your keys & such during class and you can even ‘tag’ a mat cubbie for yourself if you join the studio. Big sign that they have a lot of loyal students getting down with their downward dog. I’ve been to a couple classes now and think I’ve found another ‘home’ where I can let it all go. First class I attended was Slow Flow with Mat. This was a packed class being a 6PM class. Pretty even mix of women & men(maybe 60⁄40 if I had to guess) which was a nice change of pace. Instead of leading at the front, Mat actually walked around during the class which made him available to assist students with their poses. That was a first for me. Especially as he chose to assist me when I was dripping with sweat and all I could think is «YO! Why you up in my personal space?» But after I got over the brief initial moment of shock and let go, his assistance pushed me into the pose further than I’ve ever hit before. While I didn’t work hard as in running on the treadmill or bench pressing half my body weight, I definitely had a good workout and felt fabulous afterwards. My next class was Music & Flow with Alex. Flowed similar to the first class, but at a slightly faster pace with a few different poses. The music was a nice ‘distraction’ and spiced it up a little bit. I’m loving the centered feeling I have after each class and looking forward to my next one. Warning to yoga newbies: they keep the studio warm. Which while it didn’t surprise me as it is a usual practice, you will be sweating by the end of class. But so will everyone else, so you won’t be alone.

I’ve tried different yoga studios and Bikram yoga, but what I enjoy most here is the variety of classes in a heated setting. All of the instructors are encouraging and open, and I never feel embarrassed. Thank you BIGFISH!!!

I was inspired to see Big Fish Yoga when I read about being Best of Jax winner for Best Yoga Studio 2013 and saw that it was having a yoga event on Thanksgiving day. I am always looking for innovative and new ways to exercise and different fitness places and yoga studios. I was thoroughly impressed with their fast and efficient procedures in checking in people and providing quick assistance. The Thanksgiving yoga event: Happy Thanks & Giving with Anna and Kevin was a joyous bundle of fun, love, yoga, and sweat. Anna’s assistance was stellar. Kevin’s introduction and directions were full of warmth, simplicity, quickness, and humor. I felt like a fat yet HAPPY oily sardine toasted on an open fire after wards :)! Very professional and superb yoga studio. This was my first experience with a male yoga instructor, Big Fish Yoga in Jax, and Power Vinyasa Yoga, and it was BRILLIANT. Peace, Love, Grace, and Yoga.

I always find that it is hard to find a yoga studio that ‘fits’ my personality. This is an awesome studio! I felt the warmth and welcoming vibe right away. The owner was teaching the first class I took, and she chatted with me a bit before it started. People mostly seemed to know one another, but I didn’t feel uncomfortable — even when the teacher was talking about the fast, or something, that they were all partaking in. The teacher/owner came over to each student and helped re-align poses to be in best form. I loved the class so much I bought a package for the year! The studio is clean and bright. They also offer cool events, like a paddle-boarding day with yoga on the beach. Can’t wait to get back and train some more here!

Big Fish Power Yoga is where it’s at in terms of yoga in Jacksonville, FL. The studio is beautiful and the practice is not only challenging and powerful, it is inspirational and life-changing. I have been practicing there for about 6 months now and I couldn’t imagine practicing anywhere else! Plus, your first class is FREE! You can’t beat that!
