Best place to eat on Main Street Jackson and one of the best in Jackson, for sure. Everything here is a winner, sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts, yum. Today I had the spinach salad which had eggs, bacon, almonds, mandarin oranges and cranberries. It was served with a delicious dressing that I have never tasted before, quite unique flavor both sweet and savory. My friend ordered the pear salad which I have ordered several times and she said it was very good. My favorite item on the menu is the veggie sandwich, lots of fresh veggies and cheese on a soft roll or the broccoli salad… hmmm, I am getting hungry again. Stop by, the owners are very nice and if you are lucky enough to be at an event they are catering, you will not be disappointed.

Cute little deli spot on Jackson’s main street with a bunch of small boutiques and stores. Great shop to stop by at for lunch during your day exploring the area. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, and pastries to choose from. I ordered the ½ sandwich and pasta combo where I got the Turkey Cranberry sandwich and a pesto pasta salad. Service is friendly and quick and no tax on your purchase! Total cost of $ 7 Great place for an affordable lunch.

Cute country deli with lots of choices and good service. Order at counter, food delivered quickly. The quiche and salad $ 7 was a great deal and I thought the quiche delicious. Salad nice and fresh but raspberry vinaigrette was too thick and sweet.

Awesome wraps with interesting sauce options and lots of fresh veggies. Can’t ever go wrong with a sandwich either — their Rueben is absolutely perfect and exactly how I would make it at home. They are pretty expensive, I feel($ 8 for a sandwich & pickle on the side) and I only treat myself to lunch here every few months, but it’s definitely always worth it. Friendly staff(Nick is great!) and nice little tables inside, good location on Main St. I can bring my toddler here without any raised eyebrows either, which is always nice. They bring out a booster seat or high chair right away and we’re good to go.

My wife found this place and said I needed to try it. It is much like many other deli joints I have tried and they were all equally as good. Price is high for being in Northern Cali but atleast I enjoyed my meal.

We used Mother Lode to cater our son’s rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch the day after the wedding. The wedding was at «The Hideout» in Kirkwood, so needless to say a bit of a trek for Nick and team. But they did a perfect job, and the food was spectacular! They also catered the wedding reception as well, and again the food was over the top! Nick and his team were outstanding, they had the timing down to a science and everything was hot and delicious for all of the meals. Thanks Nick, outstanding job! The Barawedding.

We had Mother Lode cater our wedding at The Heirloom Inn a few weeks ago. The food was AMAZING!!! I received many compliments on how fresh and moist the meat was and how perfectly everything was cooked. Not only is the food great, the price is without a doubt reasonable! We shopped around for caterers and it’s crazy what some places will charge. Nick is wonderful! If I had any questions, he got back to me quickly and was very thorough. I would absolutely recommend Mother Lode to anyone looking for a catering company.

Nice deli and friendly service. Yummy and large sandwiches. Their espresso machine was broken when we visited before Thanksgiving but they had bottled Starbucks in the fridge so no worries. :)

GOODSTUFF! They will make a sandwich however you like! The sandwich was large enough that you better be really hungry to eat sides also. Plan on getting a small if you want the sides. This is a true DELI that makes there own salads and fresh sandwich’s. Eat here and then window shop. Great way to spend a day in a cool historic gold town. VERYGOODANDWILLBEBACK!

We were doing a little window shopping in the antique stores and decided we wanted to grab lunch first. So we asked where the best lunch food wasto be found and were told to come here. We walked across the street into this countertop deli. You order your food, eat, and then walk up to the counter and tell them what you ate and drink… honor system here folks. Jerry had a little turkey sandwhich which was really comparable to what he would have made at home. I ordered the Green Chili Chicken soup. Now I know this place was recommeded. It was homemade, with broth like gravy and the chicken was shredded. Reminded me of what chicken tortilla sould taste like. All I know is I wanted some to take home. Looks like thenext time I am coming through Jackson after a winter backpack trip I will be eatin here rather than Taco Bell for some good homestyle food.

It’s time to add a long-overdue review of every Jackson residents favorite lunchtime deli. I can’t count how may times I’ve walked in to see familiar faces stuffing their familiar faces with this classic deli grub. In that sense, Mother Lode is a real reflection of a community where, as the theme goes, «everyone knows your name.» It’s essential to get here during the lunch hour, as the homemade soups, pies and other specials(like enchilada pie — yummy) don’t last long. I prefer Fridays, when I can get a bowl of clam chowder made from scratch and a panini.
