So, living near this I always saw this place and decided to stop in one time for dinner. My grading scale usually always starts at a 5, and I I pro/con everything until I get a rating I feel is fit. 1. I felt disgusting walking in, and didn’t really want to touch anything. Instant 2-star deduction. The music was way loud and I was one of 3 people in there, but the server was super nice, so that gave it a half of a star. Was promptly seated and given a menu, and holy shit expensive. 9 dollars for French onion? I’ve been to restaurants that you needed a suit to dine, and I never paid that much. Everything was mad expensive, another 2 stars fallen. 1.5 stars. 2. I was pretty hungry so I ordered despite the prime NYC pricing, and the food took forever. 30 some minute wait of loud, loud music. 1 stars. 3. Food arrives, and to my surprise is pretty darn good. Maybe I had low expectations, but it was good. Final verdict, 2 stars.

We went there around Halloween time. Service was great, place was clean, food was absolutely excellent. The Guinness French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know where the 1 star reviews are coming from. This place was definitely clean and hospitable. Had a good time making friends with the bartender as well. Not a single complaint.

This place deserves no recognition. Any time I’ve visited this establishment I’ve been disappointed and vow to never spend another dime at McGinns. The service is terrible, the food isn’t worth feeding to wild animals and its filthy.

Warm beer, poor service, microwaved food and saw cockroaches in the men’s room. This bar was better when the previous owners ran it aka Vinci’s.

Great little dive bar right by Great Adventure. Cool staff and friendly locals with different things going on each night from country karaōke to live music to open mic. Stop by if you are in the area!

Place is disgusting. There’s a layer of grease on every surface. The floor is apparently water-damaged in lots of places, and there is silver duct tape covering the broken tile. It’s so bad in some places that it’s a trip hazard. I know two employees, and it is commonplace to water down drinks. If you want a cheap bar in the area, there are plenty of options. No need to subject yourself to this. This place is like the bar in the movie«Road House», before Patrick Swayze cleaned it up. And it’s about as much of an Irish Pub theme as Pizza Hut. Nothing more than an overpriced dive bar. The clientele are 25 – 45 year old redneck wannabes with questionable hygiene. Eat/Drink here at your own risk.

This place is horrific. I only go for cheap drinks and once their was a girl dancing on the bar provactively for another guy, another time a group of younger guys AND girls had taken their shirts off. Very classy. It was much better when the old owners had it. RIP Vincis. They should shut this place down.

Dirty Dirty Dirty! The staff is too busy talking to each other and couldn’t careless about customer service. Watch your bill there are no free fountain soda refills. Entertainment was great. FOODGROSSGOTOKFC.

Great dive bar with a local crowd. Activities every night of the week from trivia, poker, and karaōke to beer pong tournaments. Food is hit or miss but staples like wings and pizza are solid.

Was a little weary about eating here… floors felt sticky(maybe its the fake wood??) but hubby really wanted to. The bartender was our server and was very nice, got appetizers for lunch(the sampler an wings) and surprisingly everything was pretty good! Drinks were cold, food was hot, and service was on it. I say give it a chance.

Great local bar. Terrific food, full bar and occasional live music. Gotta try the Cajun beef tips…
