love this place. can’t go wrong with 3 rolls for less than $ 10 and their lunch specials has a decent price with more than enough food. giving it a 4 stars because the delivery guy is very lazy and REFUSES to go up 4 floors via elevator. call me and made me go downstairs to go pick up my order ALLTHETIME. beside that, the food was great.

Its decent and affordable, there are a lot more places that serve more fresh and authentic«real» sushi, sadly not in this neighborhood. I usually get delivery because they are the only sushi spot nearby. I do prefer this one out of all of the others nearby. The lady on the phone can have an attitude at times but then again I don’t expect much from this place. Those who have had amazing authentic sushi will definitely know the difference between the quality, freshness and taste and probably will consider this place as «garbage».

The sushi is good but the sauces should be free instead they charge a $ 1 for every sauce you want expect soy sauce.

For the area food is very good delivery is fast. I have eaten at other sushi location around Jackson heights and have gotten sick. Food here is fresh. They also have a nice new thing they do when you order over Unilocal, text you how long it will be super cool.

Love love love this place. It’s been in Jackson heights for quite sometime and I’ve also been a customer for several years. They have pictures of most, if not all the rolls, which makes it easy and convenient to order considering they all look awesome. I love the calamari roll, which I still want to ask how the hell do they do it because it’s an entire quid stuffed with avocado, seaweed and seaweed salad and it’s always delicious ! They also have great saki and a plum wine for an unbeatable price of $ 14 for a bottle. The sushi is always fresh, she service is always kind and friendly and the food comes pretty quickly. Love tomo and will continue to come here for many years to come

I went to the Tomo on Queens Blvd. first, then located this place within my delivery area. I have ordered delivery from this location often, and have visited the restaurant. The restaurant is nicely decorated. You’re not going to get amazing sushi here, but you’re going to get fed at a reasonable price and you’ll be content. I have tried their noodle soup, but it’s not particularly my taste(a little sweet). Stick with the rolls and also try the tempura ice cream… if it’s your cheat day.

I like it. This place for me is a solid 3.5 stars. The tea that they serve is more like hot water. I had shrimp tempura rolls. They were tasty. They have your typical desserts. Fried ice cream, mochi, regular ice cream. They are open til late which is nice.

Well priced($ 1 sushi and sashimi!), friendly staff, and consistently fresh — who could ask for more! Its not going to be the best sushi you’ve ever had, but it does the trick. A great local spot.

Went here for take out and they forgot a order. When I got home I called them and told them I will pick it up the next day. When I got there instead of being apologetic I was greeted with attitude. Thus I left and threw the order in the corner garbage can.

The sushi is very good here. It is fairly cheap also. I usually order for delivery. It’s very quick and service is fairly good. But once they mixed up my sushi order and offered me a credit for net time. However the next time I ordered they said they didn’t have any credit for me and refused to give me the credit. Today I went in for sushi with a friend but I ended up getting a ramen bowl instead coz I decided on eating vegetarian but the ramen didn’t taste good so I would highly recommend you NOT to get the ramen.

Great sushi, tasty and cheap. Food was delicious and fresh but service was suck. Slow and slow, server didn’t pay attention to the table. If you got sit, ask for the drink at least 2 glasses cuz you will be dying to have some water why? Cuz they never come to fill up your water even we ask TWICE. Very very poor service. Go some place else unless you not expected to be serve by the people who know how to serve the table.

The best experience ever. I go at least once a week but every time I go they surprise me with amazing food and excellent service.

I actually like this place a lot. My cousins and I got the sushi platter that features 13 rolls of your choosing. There were 8 of us and we were so full when we finished the platter. I really enjoyed the EEL Cucumber Roll and Shrimp Tempura(you must be a sadist, if you hate Tempura). However, the salmon roll wasn’t exciting at all, in fact, after one sushi, I didn’t bother going for it. I suggest coming here with some friends and getting the platter. Not a bad price at all for all those sushis!

I really love it’s place. If I’m in queens this is definitely the place will be going. Their Philadelphia roll is on point and I got the chance to trying of their special rolls which was so good. Their dinner bento box is delicious and perfectly! The shumai that comes with it is so good as well as the chicken teriyaki. The Kani salad is good too! I really do love this place. Go go people go!

I’ve been a consistent customer of Tomo for the past year, never had a problem eating in or ordering delivery(mostly delivery). I tip well, and also offer candy to the delivery guys for making the three flight trip up to my door(no tricks, all treats!) and also just generally understand the service industry having experience in this as well as being an Asian here in Queens. Today was the last day I order from this place; the food itself is ok(prices are cheap so…) but the experience is everything. After being a consistent sushi customer and tipping well(especially during snow and rain) today I get a call from an angry delivery guy yelling to me that I need to come downstairs and pick up my food or he’s going to threaten to leave. I totally understand when delivery guys don’t want to walk up, but to start a conversation so hostile, so angry, and to threaten to go home with the food I already paid for? This was not befitting a repeat customer. My neighborhood in Corona near Junction blvd is actually super safe, right by the train station; my apt is all a bunch of family units and doctor offices. I called the restaurant to ask them what their stance on this action was and all they could say was to talk to the delivery guy and reprimand him. Nothing in lieu of discount or coupon or ANY incentive to come back after such disrespect shown. After continuous service(they have my number and address and card on file!) this lack of empathy is enough to drop such cheap sushi. Again, I’m not coming from a sense of entitlement; I just don’t expect a side of disrespect on my order of fried tempura. I hope your experiences are better and I hope Tomo reads this and gets their act together. I don’t expect gold flakes and lavish gifts; common human courtesy is all we should require. Side note, apologies to the delivery guy. After I got the food, I shouldn’t have made personal comments to your job as a delivery dude and I lashed out in emotion. The difference between you and I is that I gave YOU money and yall gave me so so sushi.

I ordered delivery for the first time form this place and I LOVETHEFACTTHEYDELIVEREDSOFAST! i had 9 piece sashimi lunch special and some fried vegetable/crab appetizer. The appetizer was awesome, the sashimi was ok. I love the fact that they gave plentiful sauces to accompany the delivery. I’d order again.

My rating here is solely, based on my experience with their Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream. I have not tried the sushi here as of yet! I love Green Tea, and Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream is always a plus! Living conveniently down 2 blocks from this place, I occasionally drop by to get my fix with their Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream. It’s delicious, though having the Tempura batter a little less thick would definitely make this the perfect dessert! Also, with the number of times I’ve been here, their service hasn’t always been the best. Either they have gotten the order wrong(yup, just on ice cream!) or they forget to provide spoons for the ice cream etc. Definitely room for improvement on their customer service skills! All that being said, I’m a bit picky when it comes to sushi, so I haven’t found the courage to try out their sushi here yet… Guess I will have to wait and update this review when I do!

The sushi plates looks so artsy, we tried the calamari dragon and it’s delicious. But don’t try the noodles, I’d rather have instant noodles than this flavourless one.

Tomo is such an underrated sushi spot, and it’s our go-to when we want casual no-frills sushi in a slightly nicer environment than Happy Kitchen( ). The food here comes in large portions and is always fresh. They also have a $ 1 per piece sushi special that can’t be beat. Service is fine and tea is free. I’m a fan.
