I’ve ordered takeout many times from this place, but only ever get Chinese, which is mediocre. From what I gather, their sushi is the way to go.

I just got food from here via seemless, as in 10min ago. Terrible! I have never got food from here and I will never again. The gyoza was supposed to be steamed and not partially cooked. The Katsu Don was terrible. NO sauce on it and it tasted awful. Wasted my money and had only 2 bites so now I have to order more food from somewhere else. NEVERAGAIN

Awesome, awesome, awesome and did I mention awesome? I love sushi however I am very weary of the quality of the fish. This place does not disappoint. Plus they have Chinese food for the bf that doesn’t exactly love sushi so we can order from one spot now. Every single dish that I have tried has been amazing.

Just the first time for order and will be the last time for me. I called to order 2 menu, and reminded the staff who received my order to let the delivery guy call me when he arrived at my front door because I’m not home yet. But he came inside my building before called me. And I’m waiting in front of my building entrance and when the delivery guy came down he complain me why I am so late!!! I said you can’t entered to my building without ring the bell to let the residents allow you to enter. And he said he was busy so I paid him for food but not for tip because he complaining the customer. So he got angry and said«you do not order the food from my restaurant again» I said sure and will call the restaurant for complaint. After that I called to restaurant and the staff said she will report to the manager. That’s it!!! good job for your business about response to the customers. When I checked my food, I ordered fried chicken curry but they gave me for chicken cutlet curry!!! I swear to myself that this will be the last time for me to order from this restaurant. And I strongly agree with another review that Tomo is better for taste and fresh ingredients. If you want to try East 21 please make sure that you have enough money to tip the delivery guy. Good luck!!!

I can never say enough about this place! I’ve been a regular customer since 2006 and the food still tastes amazingly the same! The sushi here is honestly the best sushi I’ve had, esp. spicy combo & yankee roll — even compared to fancy sushi places! Their deluxe box, lunch boxes, curries, and teriyakis also never fail. Give it a shot! You won’t regret it. :)

It’s a small… more like tiny… takeout place that has Chinese food and maki rolls, sushi, bento boxes, teriyaki plates and even pad thai. Okay… usually these type of places, I don’t like. Most of these type of places have a lot of different type of Asian food but none of it is any good. Well… this tiny little East 21 Boy I have to say at least gets their maki rolls to taste yummy. Let’s first establish… I am not a sushi snot. Sometimes I just get cravings for maki rolls even though I am not a huge Japanese food fan. So here steps in East 21 Boy. Here are some reasones why I like East 21 Boy so much: 1. It’s conveniently located by the main Jackson Heights train station. So when I am on the way home I stop by East 21 Boy before I step onto the bus… which as far as convenience goes, it’s awesome. 2. Their prices are not too expensive. Which makes sense for the type of place it is, it’s a Chinese takeout place. 3. It’s fast. 4. I can get pseudo American Japanese food and pseudo American Chinese food in one place. Which could have not worked, but so far… so good at East 21 Boy. I have yet to try more of their menu so all I can comment on is their maki rolls. 5. I have never gotten sick here. All the fish in the maki rolls always were very fresh. The tuna, salmon, et al was always fine. Very delicious, very fresh always… good reason to return. 6. They even have lunch specials on Saturday which I would take the bus just to get it. Hey, what can I say. I like it. 3 maki roll lunch special until 4 pm Monday to Saturday is $ 9 and it comes with a your choice of miso soup, salad or soda or there is a 2 maki roll lunch special for $ 7.75…but for the $ 1.25 difference, I always pick the 3 rolls. They also have bento lunch box specials. Those are all the reasons why I love this place and have been returning again and again.

From 5 stars to 1(since that’s the lowest you can give) horrible food. They changed chef, and the new one is doing a pathetic job. Not going back again.

Disappointed. The cooked salmon was delicious, but the American Dream roll consisted of hot salmon rolled within a lukewarm sushi roll. I was also able to return the Cajun Tuna roll at no additional cost. The Cajun Tuna roll tasted like over cooked chicken. Upon further inspection it looks like they used tuna from a can to prepare the Cajun Tuna Roll.

It’s a gem in Woodside! It is not just a typical chinese food delivery/take ourt spot. The food is so good for the price! Very decent japanese food. I love the chicken teriyaki combo with fried shumai and salad!

Ordered delivery from here a handful of times. I usually order their chicken teriyaki or chicken katsu. Chicken teriyaki is solid, sauce isn’t overbearing and their chicken is tender. Katsu could use some more flavor, bland at times. Their rice isn’t the low quality kind. If you’re craving some sushi, this place can do the job. Ive tried the cali rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, and vegetable rolls. All decent. It’s close-by, convenient and delivery is quick. I have yet to try their other selections of food, and will definitely do so in the future. Only downside is my disdain for their«salad orange sauce.» It’s a bit sour, compared to the ones I prefer. This place is no Ariyoshi(Sunnyside), but holds its own.

A decent place for Japanese fast food. The rice tastes good, the tempura is crispy, and the chicken teriyaki is tender and juicy. It is also pretty clean inside.

Gave this place another try, and it’s great. It’s become my usual take out spot now. I love the sushi, beef teriyaki, beef with broccoli, shrimp with broccoli, edamame, shrimp tempura, etc. Fast delivery!

Compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area we found this place to be a better option. The food is decent and comparable in price to other places. They have a range of Asian dishes I opt for the Japanese rolls and my husband the chicken and broccoli. We are creatures of habit and eat the same thing routinely so we can only give a good review for those. The only complaint is the rolls are a little sloppily made but they do taste good. After all its not 5 star dining. Happy eating!

I placed an order for delivery and got my food in timely fashion. The fish was fresh and delicious. I also ordered Chinese from them and my family enjoyed the taste. I’ll definitely order from them again. Honestly I wished I would have ordered more.

Tasty food with amazing delivery time, I swear it’s like they fly to your house. They have the best chicken and broccoli in the area and their egg rolls are pretty good too. I’m a big fan of Chinese American and this is as good as it gets in this area. Also my wife orders the sushi and seems to enjoy it so you do have options.

Was desperate for a sushi night after months of not having it – especially worse when we found out our usual spot no longer delivered to our location!!! — and we decided to try this place. I’m always weary of new sushi spots because freshness is important with raw fish. Other than the sashimi prices being kind of expensive, and not as big as I had hoped/.expected, it was a win! first off — super fast delivery. I ordered a little before 5:30 and it arrived before 6pm… on a cold and rainy night no less. My husband said the delivery guy was soaking wet because he rode on a bike. And the man wasn’t rude or anything which is surprising because I’ve had some rude delivery men acting as if they were doing a huge burden filled task by bringing us our food. Breakdown of the order: Miso soup — standard, warm, and tasty tuna avocado rolls — my favorite are salmon avocado rolls but these are my second favorite. And I was amazed when i saw them! Perfectly rolled, very vibrant hearty green chunks of fresh avocado, and gorgeous color of the tuna. I don’t think I’ve ever seen tuna that bright before and I felt more inclined to eat it haha shrimp tempura roll — very good. Loved the flavor and crispness. Done well Gyoza– pan fried. Didn’t have much flavor at all, so wouldn’t get it again General Tso’s chicken — was amazed at how tender the chicken was, and how large the chunks actually were. At other Chinese takeout shops, the chicken is tough, old, dry, but deeply fried with batter, so that’s all you are really eating. With this chicken, it was actual chicken, with some light breading/batter and sauce. We definitely want to try more things on the menu, but we were so hungry, we ordered things were were familiar with.

My go to place for hand rolls and teriyaki bento box. I’ve never been there in person so I always get delivery. I love their delivery service, always very fast and on time. Can’t complain.

Been coming to this restaurant for about 4 years now and I will say it is the one fastfood place that you can get either or when it comes to sushi and chinese food. However I tend to only order from the chinese food menu because the sushi prices are somewhere near Manhattan’s prices. The sushi here is also not that great in my opinion. I ordered an eel roll once or twice and received the fattiest parts of the eel that was not broiled properly. However I do frequent this restaurant when I want a good bee fried rice. Beef dishes in general are really good from this restaurant.
