Great place to get cheap Indian kababs and naan. The price is very affordable. However, for non-South Asians it might be little intimidating. Bring an Indian friend.

As far as Bangladeshi food goes, this just about did the job for me. I got take out from here a few days ago — actually just before Sandy hit since I wanted to have some spicy food on me in case it was gonna be my last meal on earth. Anyhoo — the kachchi biryani was a tad bland. I do give them major props for even carrying buter(pronounced: boot-aer) daal — basically a kind of thick lentil mixed in w/beef which is a popular dish in BD. Theirs wasn’t too bad — although nowhere as good as the one my grandma used to make while I was growing up. I could live on that for days. *sigh The tandoori chicken was slightly on the dry side but the flavor was good. Food was cheap. I think I paid about 20 bucks for those 3 dishes, so you can definitely stuff yourself here if you want. I had enough food for 2.5 meals, it must be said. So great value for the buck. Aladdin in Astoria is probably a better option for me for BD food but these guys did have more choices. Their hot station had plenty of stuff and even if you aren’t familiar with the cuisine, you can point out the food that looks appealing to you. I’ll probably return for the buter daal — that stuff is scarcer than diamond in NY.

Great customer service, great food(don’t try if u can’t stand really spicy foods). I’ve tried their tandoor chicken, it was well cooked & flavorful. And I’ve tried their beef sheekh kabab, amazing! Authentic sub continent flavor. Spicy, juicy & soft meat. Best part is the price, comparing to LA… it’s super cheap! Wish we’d have a restaurant like this here in LA
