Go across the street to Haat Bazaar if you’re looking for good sweets. This place used to be good but isn’t up to par any more.

Perfect appetizer before scarfing down some Sammy’s Halal down the street. Best Bangladeshi chicken samosas ever! The deep fried filo dough shell is crisp and thin and the well seasoned filling is spicy and addictive.

Aladdin or Premium Sweets, I feel like I am betraying you if I don’t stop by for tea each time I come to Jackson Heights yet you keep on disappointing me. Your specialty is supposed to be «bengali sweets» and you killed the great reputation that Bengali sweets have(as attested by my non-bengali friends). I tried the shondesh, rosh malai, and the different sweets and everything is just sweet but not flavorful(as it should be). I guess I will order the salty stuff from a sweets place from this point on.

Almost every time I come to jackson heights, I visit Aladin for chomocha and shingara. They are very good. I think it’s under new management. Cause it’s cleaned up now. Looks good inside and service has improved.
