So we were here for a meeting and the restuarant is using another restaurant’s space while their space is being remodeled. I went into the bathroom and an extremely drunk woman was passed out in a stall. A little while later a friend tried to go to the bathroom and when she opened the door the woman was in a wheel chair and threw up right as she opened the door. The bar tenders were joking like it was no big deal.

Shrimp and grits were outstanding, along with starter bread/butter. At first I thought the serving size was small until I started to eat the meal. It was plentiful and delicious!

Fresh, local ingredients and preparation without fuss or pretense. Staff was friendly and engaging. Great bar menu with small plates were nice addition to the full menu. We enjoyed a great meal, and then walked out to the beach to watch the sunset. Sea Island Grill is an undiscovered gem… we’ll definitely be coming back.

Took my husband here to celebrate Father’s Day, we loved the atmosphere and service. She Crab soup is among the best I’ve ever had. But our entrees weren’t anything to write home about. They were good; but, not worth the hefty $ 49 tab without alcohol. I’m not sure we’d go back. They’ve got to step up the food quality or relax those prices in order to reel us back

pretty interior, food was awesome… fried black eye peas were great appetizer, scallops a little overcooked but that can also be a personal preference. Would I go back… YES!

How can you burn a burger and have the audacity to serve it. Service was good from wait staff — but the cook!!! Oh my!!! Unbelievable. My friends Fish was raw and my burger was literally burned! I asked for it medium. I was blown away by this place. It’s no wonder reviews are mostly bad. Someone needs to get replaced. House cleaning might be a better fit for the cook. This way he can’t burn anything.

Atmosphere was about the only so so thing. Food was way over priced for the low quality. Need to work on cleanliness

Went during an «off time.» I was the ONLY person in the restaurant. I realize I went at a weird time — 3:00 in the afternoon — but if you say you are open, and«come on in» then that means you are able to cook, serve the food, etc. It took nearly 40 minutes for me to get fries and a sandwich. Then the fries and the sandwich were just… eh, so so.

We had spent the whole day driving and hadn’t eaten since breakfast, so by the time we checked into Wild Dunes Resort, we were weary, tired of being in the car, and very hungry. Rather than driving somewhere for dinner, we walked over to the Sea Island Grill and Lounge. When we walked in at 7:30 on a Thursday night, there were two other couples in the place. But instead of a table, we got an extensive lecture that we should never, ever show up without a reservation. Instead of waiting for the hostess to find us some dark corner, we decided to find a restaurant that welcomed our business. And we left the Sea Island Grill and Lounge as empty as we had found it. There is a happy ending to this story, however. We did have to get back into our car, but we stumbled upon the Morgan Creek Grill, where we had an amazing seafood dinner.

We stayed at the hotel the night of our wedding, woke up and went to breakfast. I think that the hotel was training summer help because we were extremely disappointed. Not only did theynotcare that we were newlyweds, but they treated us as if we weren’t even staying at the hotel. My husband did not receive his complete breakfast and he had to keep asking our waiter for more sweet tea. He was given a complimentary breakfast credit that was not applied to our bill. I would not return to this hotel or restaurant again.

Very disappointed. Teeny tiny portions, even my granddaughter who’s 3 would still be hungry. Food was plain. My pumpkin soup was the highlight but it wasn’t hot. I sent my entrée back as it was extremely salty. We were so hoping to make this one of our regular places but not happening.

We ate dinner here while on vacation in the area on our last night before heading home… mistake. She Crab Soup is the best thing about this resort«fine dining» establishment. Service –Incredibly slow –SOSLOW. Our waiter didn’t take our orders for 30 minutes. Food took just as long to come out Appetizers –Grilled Peach Salad– the peaches were way under ripe. It was like biting into an apple. Totally unacceptable, it was sent back. –Soup was good. –Moonshine Tuna was strange, flavors didn’t work Mains –Scallops tasted fine but the side of Sweet potato peanut purée was just weird. –Snapper was the best. If you have to eat here order the snapper. My family absolutely loves coming to Isle of Palms and really enjoys eating out in the surrounding area– Charleston has so many great dining options, it’s a drive but worth it for a culinary experience. Go to Charleston or Sullivan’s island for food!!! For the amount of money this place costs you will be disappointed. Pricing is way too high for mediocre attempts at fine dining. Whoever is in the kitchen needs to take some instruction from the chefs at ANY other restaurant in the area.
