Ruthcliff Lodge? Don’t think of going by car and especially boat. unless your one of the elite. I came in by boat three times for some drinks with friends and family and we were looked upon like we evaded their home Food is good but way overpriced. I am starting a new slogan locally to call it «Rudecliff» Lodge. funny thing is it is catching on. if your feeling snobby and think your better than everyone. this is your place

Amazing! Beautiful lake front setting & incredible food! The staff were very friendly. It was the best meal of our trip! Be sure to call ahead and make a reservation. It is worth the drive if you are in the area.

The food and service were superb. I had the surf and turf, it was cooked perfectly. This is a great summer spot to grab a nice dinner.

A hidden gem tucked away at the end of a side road in Isle LaMotte, VT, Ruthcliffe Lodge is a great place to enjoy a fine dinner. It’s also a charming, quiet place to spend a few nights — or more — away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Hosts Mark and Kathy Infante will take excellent care of you, whether you’re staying at the Lodge or simply enjoying a meal in their restaurant. Chef Mark prepares delicious, in-season Italian-American fare, and each entrée is served with the soup of the day, a lovely green salad, fresh bread, and complimentary sides. Dessert is extra, but definitely worth it. Kathy makes a decadent flour-less chocolate cake as well as a delectable raspberry pie. Food allergies? No problem. As someone with a gluten allergy, I can attest they went the extra mile for me, even offering an alternative soup that I could eat.(I got to have a spinach egg drop soup, while the rest of our party enjoyed cream of broccoli.) The salad is served family style, with fresh greens, red onions, radishes and cucumbers topped with Mark’s homemade Italian vinaigrette. For entrees, I enjoyed the Sicilian cod, sans croûton, while my husband opted for the evening’s special — a grilled rack of lamb served with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Other dishes receiving rave reviews include the Parmesan-encrusted halibut and the baked scallops. You really can’t go wrong; order whatever looks good to you. I doubt you’ll be disappointed. Service is top-notch, and the kitchen runs efficiently. Debbie took excellent care of our table, and expertly assisted us in navigating the menu options. Besides the food, one of the best things about Ruthcliffe is the location. Stunning views of Lake Champlain greet diners from both the inside dining room and the spacious front porch. After dinner, stroll down to the dock for a closer view.
