This place was great. We left our very expensive resort to have a delicious dinner suggested by our sunset cruise captain. Great seafood and easy on the wallet. Save room for the key lime pie!

Fish was great, however, Davon had the personality of a rusty doorknob. Didn’t tell us the specials like the other waiters around us with the their tables. Asked for a refill for my son, never got it until the hubby physically handed the cup to him as he walked by.

Stopped there for lunch, yes it is overpriced but we wanted to try it. Decent food but I think there are better places. I asked them to move us to a different table. We were sat on the dock but people in the next table were smoking, even with a toddler with them. They should prohibit this, especially as it is supposed to be a family restaurant. It appeared that moving us was too much for them, as they kept yelling who was in charge of our table. Well, if you want to be an outstanding restaurant, this should be handled with courtesy in order to prevent the customer to acknowledge this. Anyways, we are not going there anymore, I was disappointed as I was told it was a nice restaurant.

Great place with good food. Prices are reasonable for fresh seafood and dock side dining. Loved the conch fritters and mahi mahi tacos. Good portions and fresh taste.

Have an appetite when you come here! We had the Shrimp Po Boys and we could have shared! It was great, food was hot, wait staff very friendly! It was too chilly and windy to sit outside, but you have a gorgeous view of the waters.

Driving to Key west we stopped here. Nice ambient the food was really good. The service was really bad the waiter was rude as hell to the point I asked for the manager I requested him to change the waiter and after that point everything was awesome. The manager is a wow manager he is in top of the game. Will repeat

Great atmosphere overlooking the water. Before dinjng we walked around the dick and saw a tarpon, nurse shark and stingray all near the dock. We were only here for drinks and a snack — I don’t like seafood and they were kind enough to make us a catch of fries. Delicious key lime coladas. We saw several tabled get the key lime pie and it looked incredible — HUGE and possibly better than Mrs. Mac’s. One weird thing was their credit card machine was down, and no one mentioned that when we were seated. My husband had to go downstairs to an ATM to get cash since we usually don’t carry much.

Stuck in traffic heading to the keys for New Years weekend, we decided to take a lunch break. This place is by the docks so fisherman are bringing in what they have freshly caught. The beer is cold and the food was good. The conch chowder is in a red broth, kinda spicy so we ordered the clam chowder which was much much better. The cobb salad was big and filling. Mahi mahi sandwich was tasty too along with the french fries. Our server was a little forgetful but he was a nice guy. Plenty of parking. Would recommend.

Looks like a nice place and the food smells great. It has a fantastic outside seating up on the second story. The only thing I would caution you about is price. I have no idea why this is $ 2 signs when it should be much higher. Typical dinner plate is 25 — 35. They have sandwiches as well for about 15 dollars.

I’m so surprised I’ve never reviewed this place. Wahoo’s is a must to stop for lunch while driving up to key west. You need to go upstairs and sit at the open air shaded bar over looking the boat dock and harbor. Fish tacos there are some of the best and the bar tender will serve you up a nice tropical cocktail or a nice cold beer along with some nice island hospitality.

Friendly servers, good food, reasonable prices and breathtaking ocean views, it’s doesn’t get much better than that. On your way to Key West or on the way back to the mainland you won’t be disappointed making a stop here.

Great location right on the water with many charter boats just below the elevated restaurant. Excellent view of the boats and activity around them. Food was good, shrimp and crab chowder excellent.

PROS: –they serve food –somewhere to eat while road-tripping –seeing other humans eat and people-watching CONS –the service is pretty awful –the food is mediocre –mean waitresses –extremely overpriced OK so my friend ordered food for us. The waitress explained she could not bring it out all at the same time because she only had«two hands.» She actually snarled at him because he ordered«too much food for us.» Since this is Spanish waitress with really bad teeth

I’m giving a 2 and not a 1 bc the food was decent… I came to Wahoo’s with a large party. We split the check 3 ways. At the end of our dinner, the waitress comes over and asks us if the service was okay and if there was anything that she could improve on because one of our parties left her a bad tip. She literally called out one of our couples bc she wasn’t happy with the tip that they left… This is extremely unprofessional… She was an older/middle aged server, strong spanish accent(I want to say Cuban). Extremely disrespectful gesture on her part… The food: –Cracked Conch: Conch Lightly battered & fried, served with cajun remoulade. No complains, decent appetizer dish. $ 13 a bit on the pricey side. –Shrimp & Crab Chowder in a creamy, sherry spiked stock. This was very meaty with plenty of shrimp and crab. The creamy stock is exactly what chowder should be. Bowl $ 7 Great Value. –Smothered Mahi Sandwich: Mahi topped with a lemon mushroom sauce and a cheese medley. This one was a bit disappointing. I actually did not really enjoy the sauce at all. I would have preferred the sandwich without it. At $ 17, bad value! –Shrimp Po’ Boy: Fried baby shrimp piled high served on a pan neba roll with cajun remoulade. Plenty of fried shrimp on the roll… can’t go too wrong with that. The remoulade adds a nice layer of flavor. Solid 4 out of 5. At $ 15 the value is about right. Would I be back? Hell no, not after our experience with that waitress. The food was average. There were some good dishes but overall I probably wouldn’t come back for the food either.

So happy that the friendly people over at A1A Watersports recommended this place. It’s located right next to a charter boat fishing marina with giant tarpon hanging out by the docks. The place itself is spacious(and had wonderful air conditioning– it was really hot out), but we chose to sit on the second floor patio overlooking the ocean and the marina. The views were gorgeous, and there was a perfect breeze. Our server was very friendly and prompt, and the food was great. I had the ceviche appetizer… more than enough to share or to have as a meal, my husband had the mahi sandwich, and our son had a good old reliable burger. The serving sizes were large considering the prices. Everyone was very happy with their food which, unfortunately, left very little room for the massively– sized key lime pie we saw go by our table. I had a rum runner(a must when in the Keys) and it was really tasty(but could’ve used a little more rum). Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to Wahoo’s. We’ll be back!

Okay, I fell for it. Your dumb«Seafood Buffet» sign right in front of your restaurant got me to stop in. When we went in and asked about it we even fell for your dumb excuse and went ahead and looked at your menu. Ended up staying cause, hey we’re already here. Which is exactly what you wanted, right? I just figured why not? The problem is there is a good reason why not. You’re food is overpriced and just barely mediocre. Hence, the need for the false advertising ploy I guess. I got the Mahi tacos. Meh. The flour tortillas were more or less raw and were clearly store bought. By the way, throwing three mandarin orange slices into the taco doesn’t make it «tropical» or whatever you were going for. My wife had an appetizer of fried food. Meh. The conch was so chewy it was inedible. The rest was also almost certainly store bought. Sure, the view was nice. But hardly irreplaceable. Sorry. Just not a fan.
