Beautiful view of the ocean and one of the best margarita and mojito I have ever had. Amazing fish tacos and great service. Highly recommend!

We were headed to the Tiki bar which was closed. This was next door. I noticed the reviews were not good but decided not to tell my friends. What a surprise!!! The food was great! We had calamari, raw oysters, and ahi poke. The margaritas are great and heavy on the tequila! A nice surprise while we waited for my husband to get back from his fishing trip!

Drinks were cold and served quick. The piña colada hit the spot. The French fries were crispy and hot. The views of the ocean and music added a great beachy feel and vibe.

10⁄24 — The restaurant is at a prime location at the Postcard Inn on the water. We sat on a bench. We were greeted by out waitress. She brought us waters. When I asked her what was on tap, I was surprised that the restaurant didn’t offer any craft beers especially from the Keys. No Keybilly, no Key West brewery, nothing. I ordered a frozen run runner, that ended up tasting like a syrupy cherry daiquiri. It was hard to drink. We ordered the raw tuna and the mahi tacos. The chopped small pieces of tuna came in a bowl with chopped tomatoes and cucumbers and had been marinated in some kind of soy sauce. It came with 4 packages of saltine crackers and 4 stale long sesame seed crackers. The mahi on the tacos was fresh but the tacos itself looked a little sad, this came with fries. The waitress was not very friendly or knowledgeable on the menu or drinks. Because the next day we sat at the bar and noticed that they did have craft beer. Not a place I’d recommend to eat.

Your menu is so small and hardly any choices. The last restaurant at this location was better. So was their menu. Smh. All these places to eat in islamorada need to step up

Ate here twice this past weekend. The first night we had the mahi tacos and the cracked conch. Both were terrific! They tasted fresh and had great flavor. JJ who attended us was also fantastic. The music that was playing nearby wasn’t that good. The second day we ate there we had the fish dip and the calamari. The fish dip was ok but the calamari was not. The calamari rings tasted very chewy and not fresh. Not happy at all with the calamari. But again the service was very good. I would have given the place 3 stars but the service was great and the first nights food was so good I had to give it 4.

The star goes to the ocean view. Food was disappointing. Service was terrible to say the least. We had to get our own drinks. My husband accidentally bumped into Marie who acted like he punched her in the face. No staff member was polite in any way. First time in my life I’ve ever not left a tip.

Well I just want to say that I’m very disappointed with this place. It’s located in a very nice area and on the water(lovely view) but the service and food was not good at all. The menu selection is small. I ordered their only burger on the menu and it was very dry and plain. It took our server 20 minutes to take our orders and then it took another 30 minutes for the good to come out… we only ordered two burgers and fish tacos. She didn’t refill our drinks and didn’t even ask. I won’t be returning after this visit.

It gets a star cause I can’t go any lower. 10 minutes sitting at the bar, not another soul sitting at the bar but me. Yet seven(7) employees behind the bar, in front of me and no one had the inclination to offer me a menu or ask if I wanted a drink. Pathetic.

Not good. Not good at all. They rely on their waterfront ambiance to carry them. The food is sub-par and the service is beyond horrendous. We waited over an hour for a couple of dolphin sandwiches. And its not even that crowded — a third of the tables are empty. Now I see why. I asked the server after 40 minutes if the food would be up soon. Instead of apologizing or offering to check, his response was to shake his head and say«I hope so». REALLY??? If you’re trapped at the hotel you may have no choice but PLEASE!!! There are MUCH better places to eat in Islamorada that care about their customers and their reputation. One star. Jon Taffer would shut this place down in a heartbeat. BAD!!!

Sat in front of the kitchen window at the center of the bar and was ignored for almost 20 minutes by every single person that works there until I got rude and asked someone that was off duty forty help. Busy is one thing but this place is chaos without a valid product. Place would be OK if managed right IMO just cause of the view. Food is comparable to a college baseball/football snack bar though.

Great view! The service was OK. The oysters were amazing and the Ahi Poke was fresh! The drinks were not that good at first but we were able to exchange them. Overall, fun place!

Eek! Methinks NOT! Customer service is not their priority and neither is the quality of their drinks & food. A tourist trap is what this place is! During the time I was there I witnessed a couple walk out and an American family of 8 gather their stuff and leave for lack of service. The head of the family said«We’ve been waiting way too long and we still don’t have service» and as they are walking out one of their kids whined«but I’m hungry». That alone should tell you a lot about this tourist trap. This so-called raw bar was out of Oysters and Clams and not to mention Craft Beers. So we ordered a Rum Runner, a Guinness, an Angus Burger with fries and the Fish Dip… Rum Runner was a refreshing version of a 7-Eleven Slurpee slushy drink. Then it dawned on me, that is why they offer you an extra shot of rum at an extra cost. To simply put it, NORUMISADDEDINTHEFIRSTPLACE! What an honest way to run a business. SMH! It’s a great way to scam these poor obnoxious inebriated spring breakers and all other out-of-towners! We told our server this Rum Runner had no alcohol, she said«It has a lot of alcohol otherwise it wouldn’t be so red». And went on to explain furthermore and finally asked with a bit of shade thrown«Ok, so what else do you want since all these drinks are the same.» What? Seriously? First she’s trying to prove us wrong, that the drink does have a sh! t load of alcohol and second she’s rushing us with attitude. Hmmmmm. Fine, bring us a Red Stripe to be on the safe side I said. RedRum? As in Stephen King’s The Shining? It’s MURDER spelled backwards! :O No, it’s not the rum that makes this delicious tropical cocktail red you silly woman! It’s this ultra sweet high fructose corn syrup commonly used called Grenadine that makes it such a vibrant red color. What gets me is how bold and shady these people truly are. Now on to the food… Angus Burger — Dry, overcooked with a little hint of eh. Ohhh and it’s $ 2.00 extra for a thin slice of cheese. French Fries — The fries tasted like they were fried in old rancid oil. Who knows when was the last time they had the oil on that fryer changed. Fish Dip — Not impressed. Need not write more. We were hungry and did not want to send anything else back for obvious reasons. So we made the best out of this meal and soon left to Hungry Tarpon Restaurant at Robbies Marina in Islamorada for some delicious Lobster Bisque and Carrot Cake. Note: Head 4 miles south to Islamorada Fish Company(MM81.5) for some out of this world Smoked Fish Dip($ 7.95) and Raw Bar items(Clams and Oysters ½ Doz $ 7.95, Doz $ 12.95). You’ve been warned!

Dear: owner and manager of Jaws Raw bar, I used to come here often for the rum runner and the finger foods to hold off a voracious appetite, until I got to Wahoos. Came today and was very disappointed. It took 20 minutes to get noticed, we got our own menus and our server was just not paying any attention to us. Their oysters are 24 dollars a dozen. I ordered a rum runner and got a kids icee instead. I opted for my regular Red Stripe which is impossible to fuck up. They don’t have craft beers and their«raw» bar is actually mostly comprised of fried foods. The view is great and the atmosphere is laid back but that’s really why you are paying all the overpriced items, everything else is just dump. My server Christi is the rudest server I have ever encountered. She was rushing us and when I told her that my rum runner had no alcohol content she argued with me and told me to basically hurry up and order something else. She then proceeded to tell me that if it didn’t had rum it wouldn’t have any color. Last time I checked rum comes in white or gold coloring. My drink was a strawberry icee color. No way to tell wether there was alcohol in it but on taste alone. Please sir or madam hire more intelligent people who actually want to serve the costumers. A family of eight costumers just left your shack because of horrible service from the same server. You guys are just letting money walk out of your venue, rum runner islands is closed and soon you guys will be too if you don’t get it together. Because everything is shitty about this place. It really shows how you guys just simply don’t care about the business you do get. You guys do not deserve this location.

What a nice view on such a nice day! Unfortunately thats about the only thing this place has going for it… Conch fritters are more like batter balls, and fish dip was ehh. Service was non existent, i had to hunt down a server for service. Next time, just a beer at the bar, if there is a next time..

Not impressed with this restaurant. My burger had no taste and was really under cooked. The pull and eat shrimp were tiny. Conch fritters were the only highlight from the food we ordered. We got very slow service. The drinks were first. Once they came out we wanted to order appetizers and our meals, but our server just wanted to take the appetizers and once those were done he would take our entrees. Overall complete miss. I would not suggest stopping in.

Atmosphere… check. It’s near the water, in the keys, hard to screw that up. The food, drinks, and service are abysmal. I live in Islamorada, and you’re making a terrible mistake if you choose this place for anything but the view… and if you are, there are much, much better options. We sat at the bar and got some beers and dinner. The beer selection is weak even by keys standards. I’m not really sure why they call themselves a raw bar, as they don’t have much going on in the«raw» department. The cooks are cooks, and line cooks at best… there was definitely not a chef or anyone remotely resembling a chef here. There’s no way I’d order oysters from here. Let’s just cut to the chase. There are lots of decent places with a view to eat at in the keys. Don’t make this one of them. You can do better than this.
