They have good varieties of food in egg & some options for veggies too. Valcano Egg Biryani is awesome, egg masala papad, kheema curry… price is decent, best part is they serve alcohol which we dont find in indian restaurants around… only thing i dont like is tooo much oil… go for butter option & request for less oil/butter…i will go again…

I used to be a big egg mania fan after trying their egg preparations in Jersey city location but the Iselin location is pathetic and cannot beat the taste of Jersey city. I asked the extra order for bread which came after I finished eating. In egg tokri eggs were not warm, Surati gotala had too much turmeric, lasun fry was eatable and volcano biryani was near to the taste of jersey city location. It is over pricy and the service is awful.

If you like spicy very flavorful food — this is the place. Don’t go here looking to eat healthy — you must choose the better option. We tried the lasan fry and the volcano biryani. Boy that lasan fry was slamming. Definately order extra bread — you will need it! Also the jetty roll(sp) was really tasty as well. Again if you don’t like spicy Indian type of food that is pretty oily — this is likely not the place for you. But if it is… it’s a must visit. Service was great and there was a full bar there as well.

The good — Great food with tons of options for eggatarians :) The service is good and fast too! The bad — Why is the food served steaming hot in cheap plastic? They really need to change that! It’s dangerous and unhealthy and just downright cheap. The ambiance of this place is downright creepy — it feels — well — like a shady ghetto pub. They need a major update!

If you grew up in India and love the laari food culture, this is the place for you. Let me stress again and again that you need to LOVE street food. This is not your fancy, sophisticated dine-in experience. This is hot, spicy, delicious greasy food which incidentally come with a nice enough sit down opportunity. Do not expect nice plate, fancy serve ware or good silverware. Its disposable dishes, plastic containers and throw away forks and spoons. But the food is authentic. The food is spicy. Not your water down Americanized version of spicy. Its 100% legit spicy so order mild and order less butter in your dish. Even then your food is going to be spicier and more buttery than you have probably had in last 3 months combined :) I gave the place four starts because the theme and the food doesn’t match. They price is fairly ok($ 10 on average) but one dish per person(required) adds up. That with a fairly decent collection of on tap beers can allow a more elevated experience with better serve ware and plates.

So delicious! Alright so you need to try to volcano biryani because they’re known for that. And might I recommend the cheese paneer masala? It’s so good. Fair warning, I like my food rather spicy and hot and the restaurant did not disappoint! The paneer was by far my favorite, I will be ordering the volcano biryani with paneer next time.

Food is good, unique eats awesome flavored but presentation, quality of plates etc and service is terrible… Walked in no greeting, sat down server didn’t take drink orders some one else did but server did drink re orders but other person did some food orders. Super confusing… Ordered beers they did not come out for 15 min which made no sense cuz the bar was empty and we were seated right next to it and we had to repeatedly ask them if we can get them… Food is 8⁄10 of presentation was better 9⁄10 paper products for everything not good… And they don’t have sweet chutny which doesn’t make sense because it’s a Indian joint so idk maybe I’ll go back but they gotta fix these small things

Fantastic branch of the same restaurant from Jersey City. Great egg dishes that you generally associate with street fare in Gujarat(India), and other places in the country. Quantities are good as well, and so is the quality. The only thing to note is that the food tends to be pretty oily/buttery with a good helping of masalas(not complaining about the masalas, but they don’t need to be that oily). Reasonably priced, with efficient service. Cleaner than the Jersey City location as well!

Beer was warm. Food was served on paper plates. Asked for mild spice but it was actually still over the top spicy. Couldn’t taste the food due to that.

I’m giving it 4 stars because the food is pretty good… But it could be a little better in presentation. Especially since it was served on paper plates. I can understand that maybe the restaurant is being economical some how, but I just think that how you present your food matters too. And on cheap paper plates, it makes it less impressive. The service was good, I dont have any complaints with that. I do like the many selections of egg dishes that they have though. I want to come back and try more. It’s definitely a good place to go if you don’t eat meat or want to eat something light.

Hey guys, came into egg mania oak tree road for lunch on a Sunday. !!! Worst service. !!! Ordered for Gravy omelet and Veg pulav, Volcano biryani. The omelet was good, the veg pulav was very oily, literally pulav in oil. As I dint like the pulav, asked the waiter to take it back. But the waiter came back saying we can’t take it back. Manager came to the table, explained the story again. The manager was so rude and also snatched the plate with pulav, and also the Veg pulav full plate. I recommend not to go to this place. Thanks for reading!

Same as the original one in Jersey City. You can’t go wrong with any of there dishes. This places is much bigger, nicer, and cleaner. This place also has a bar. I recommend the boil tikka, boil fry, volcano rice, and egg bhurji.

Concept is good, the interior décor is inviting… service however was super super slow… and it’s not like there were a long queue or anything. Because while we were waiting for our table, we placed our order — hoping for a quick service… but it took them a really really long time to get our orders. They serve in plastic plates — another turnoff for me! For the kind of ambiance — the plastic plates certainly takes away all the marks :( We ordered medium spicy — but the food here was so damn spicy — I could barely eat. Also — while taking the order, the lady asked — would you prefer ‘butter’ or ‘oil’?? So we chose butter(we just thought this was an option they were giving) but no! Apparently — per plate they charge $ 0.99 for butter and $ 1.99 for olive oil. How else would you cook your food?!! And in all fairness — all a customer needs is acknowledging the extra charges upfront. I mean the prices they are charging for the food — I think they shouldn’t be charging extra for butter/olive oil. Specially when serving in paper plates

It was my first time trying this place, and it was a disappointing experience. The service is slow and unprofessional. From the time I wanted to place my order to the time I wanted my check, I had to get my server’s attention several times before he brought out any dish. Another turn off for me was that they serve you in disposable plastic plates. It concerned me about the quality of food when hot food was served in plastic containers. Tip: Beware of the dishes with 1 chili pepper next to it. The dish is full of chilies which makes it impossible to taste the true flavors of the dish and you are struggling to finish the plate before it burns your insides!

We ordered the egg paplet and it was very oily. The dish tasted just oil and chilly. The restaurant smelled awful that we had to order out.

What if you order Chicken Biriyani and you have to find chicken in it? I found the same as the egg content is too too low per plate considering its an exclusive egg restaurant. They give 2 – 3 bread loaves with one item which is too low considering the amount of gravy and you are forced to order separate Naan/paratha/bread-loaves which makes plate more costly. Beware with the spices; although once you say spicy they also warn you about it. I liked the service on my visit since they have multiple people allotted to each table, makes it easier to order and they are friendly as well. Little noisy but good place with friends. They don’t offer Full bar but you will find decent amount of beer/whisky.

The worst service ever, called for take out and was informed 25 mins arrived there after 45 mins and it still wasn’t ready, their excuse we were busy and we make everything from scratch. Ok and eggs take more than 55 mins to cook. I ask them for a manager and they said we are a franchisee. 2 stores in jersey and u become a franchise. Lol

These guys are motivating us to cook eggs at home instead of going out Very bad service and management. I asked a waiter why I didn’t see the cheese topped on the curry as what the menu said. He went inside, checked with the cook and then said cheese is inside the curry. While I couldn’t see or taste it. I had to ask for water and extra bread three times before they gave it to me. And don’t be surprised when you see different food coming to your table which you never ordered. It’s probably someone else’s order coming to your table by mistake. Having my dinner over here literally made me feel like they were not as much interested in serving as I was to eat.

Let me start off by saying, I have been to the Jersey City location and I was completely blown away by food(extremely delicious and flavorful, the amazing taste left me craving for more even after I was fully sated)– which is why I was super excited that they have opened a location in Edison. I give this restaurant 2 stars because my experience was similar to what an earlier reviewer– Priyang V. has stated. We arrived and told there was a 45 minute wait — it’s understandable as it was Saturday night and even other American chains typically have this much of a wait. So we wait, which takes about over an hour. The only reason we waited this long was because I knew the food was good and thought the wait wouldn’t be soo bad. When we finally got seated, it took the waiter OVER20 minutes to come, greet us and take our order. When the waiter finally came, he took our order and told us the food might be coming out in 30 – 40 minutes. We had asked the waiter to at least bring out the one appetizer dish we had ordered first because we were hungry. When we had ordered, the typical thing to do is bring out water for everyone — I had to ask them 5x before anyone brought over water for the table — this is now about 20 minutes AFTER we ordered. We continued to wait for our food — which by the way the wait time was now over an hour. We had to constantly ask different waiters to check on the food. I had demanded to see the manager several times by this point. In this process, about an hour after we ordered, the waiter comes over with the appetizer dish. After this, we wait another 20 minutes and our next dish arrives, to which we are told one of the sandwiches we ordered cannot be made. It happens occasionally that a dish runs out but this is told immediately, not when you’ve been waiting patiently after about close to 2 hours now. This was the last straw and told the waiter I would like to see the manager right away. A couple of different waiters came by, one of which said the manager was working in the kitchen himself. Finally, the manager came after which we argued about all the issues we have had in service so far. In the end, the manager explained the restaurant recently opened, for about a week and they did not expect this much of a crowd and food takes time because it is made fresh. After giving him a few pointers, I flat out told the manager — I’ve been to the Jersey City location and know the food is great — that’s what brought me here immediately. However, if he keeps up like this with his service, not only will he lose customers, he won’t thrive as a successful restaurant, which is unfortunate because there’s A LOT of potential. The manager kept apologizing profusely and I held the manager to a promise of improving the service after a month. The food came out a short while after. All in all, I have great reviews about the food, but it was intolerably ridiculous that it took us over an hour to be seated, and another for even the food to come out. Having said that, the food is still amazing — no doubt about it. The only issue I have with the food is it’s a bit oily — a point which I communicated to the manager. The food is packed with flavor and quality is the same as the Jersey City location. If the management can get their service improved(I will be checking in with the manager after a month as promised) this restaurant has the potential to be the favorite go to place in Edison.

My family and I have been loyal patrons of the Jersey City location. I have to say, with a heavy heart, that I am extremely disappointed with my experience here tonight. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:15pm for dinner. We were told there was a 45 minute wait to be seated, an expected and normal occurrence. After a bit longer than 1 hour and sharing our concerns with management, we were finally seated at about 8:30pm. The waiter then advised that we would be waiting for another HOUR after placing the order just to get our food! When we attempted to question the waiter on how that would even be considered acceptable, we were told we should have placed our order while we were waiting for a table. The audacity to even suggest that AFTER we waited an hour and half to get a meal. We finally had to walk out without placing an order and had to find another place to eat. This experience has really called into question if I even want to bring my business to Jersey City location let alone here.

I have been going to the Jersey City location and now it has opened up in the Edison area. If you crave for Indian food and want to have different varieties and love Eggs, this is the place. Get what ever dish you get with butter and spicy. It’s very tasty and consistent. Today is the soft opening and loving the food. Knowing what I know this will get busy very soon. Wish you all the luck Egg Mania team. Thanks for the great food journey.
