So my colleagues suggested I try the Marriot, well upon arrival of any hotel I do a quick inspection of where I’m sleeping and working and eating. As you can see in the pics my sheet is stained with old blood and there is a hair on my table where I’m supposed to eat. The sofa looks like several folks spilled something on it… Hmmm. Not impressed Boo Marriot!

First off the Hotel itself is pretty nice the rooms are spacious and room was clean with one Huge exception. There was a large hand print that looked to be made with blood on the inner side of the bathroom door which terrified are 5 year old daughter who discovered within a few minutes of arrival. The second major issue is its now 1:14 am and all I can here is either music or a very loud TV and all attempts to have it silenced has failed. I have to be at the airport by 5 am so it looks like I will be having a long sleepless night. I am mortified at what I had to pay for this experience. I plan on contacting management over this stay.

The service at this hotel has been amazing! The employees are very helpful with your needs. We forgot our charger for our iPhone and they even provided a backup one. Great stay!

Clean, safe and the staff were very friendly. However, I have given it a low rating because of its misrepresentation online which led to additional costs and inconvenience on my part. I chose this hotel because of the following perks: 1) Free airport shuttle 2) Close proximity to DFW Airport 3) Free breakfast 4) Free WiFi These were all included in the online marketing of this hotel, when in fact… The airport shuttle stops operating at 10pm. It is not close to the airport… especially considering the fact that I passed about 20 other hotels while riding in the $ 28 taxi to Springhill Suites. When the shuttle starts operating in the morning, it only operates on the hour. Other hotels I’ve stayed in allow you to reserve a specific time. Consequently, I won’t get to enjoy the free breakfast in the morning. Oh… and by the way, the free WiFi is only in the lobby. I get it… it is what it is. I just wish the hotel told the whole story when it comes to how they market the«perks» they offer.

New, fairly modern and clean hotel that I would stay at again. Friendly staff members and an included breakfast buffet(eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, toast, croissants, fruits, bagels, coffee, juices etc.) round out some of the perks of staying. Lastly, what seals the deal is the included 1 week parking on the property and free airport shuttle that takes 10 – 15 mins to get to DFW. It’s definitely a bargain and I’ll stay here again for subsequent trips.

The Front Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. My colleague and I were greeted almost immediately after the doors opening to the lobby. As I started to check-in another worked came out and asked my colleague for his check in info. No wait time! I was asked what floor preference I had, if any. She took time to tell me about the breakfast deal, room service options and the free buffet at Happy Hour and drink specials… can’t go wrong with Happy Hour ever! The room and bathroom were clean and perfect for the 1 night I needed it for. Later that evening I asked the same young lady from California(I can’t remember her name) for the location of a Dick’s Sporting Goods and mall — she was quick to pull out a post-it note and provide me with address and phone number. BOOM! That is the type of service you want and you don’t forget. I have no complaints about this hotel. If you are in the area and need 1 or 2 nights — this place is great. A ton of places to eat and shop along the two major roadways right outside the hotel and minutes from DFW airport. When i return for work, I will be staying here again!

I have been at other Springs Hills and they are by far much better than this one. The staff was pretty friendly and welcoming but that was about the only thing I was happy about. First, it is kind of isolated, definitely need to drive to get anywhere. Second, the rooms are pretty small, considering that they are«suites» my husband and I felt cramped. Last, the air conditioning didn’t seem to perform very well. It felt very humid inside the room and was very hard for us to get comfortable with the temperature. Humidity is my hair enemy, and believe my hair was not behaving even inside the room!

I’m a Marriott guy through and through and thought I would take a break from Courtyard to check out this Springhill. Sadly I won’t be staying here again. It’s awkwardly in the middle of nowhere, the lobby is strangely outdated and the room HVAC is extremely loud. Add in some subpar toiletries and a nasty shower and I can’t wait to get back to the Courtyard or Marriott.

We were greeted by quite possibly the most cheery and chipper desk person I have ever met. The room was set up in a suite style with a wet bar, couch, and desk on one side, and the bed and bathroom on the other side. The TV sat between the two halves and swiveled so it could be seen from either side. It was a 25″ standard definition tube TV. There was also a mini fridge and microwave in the wet bar area. I was able to easily connect to the free wifi, which seemed to have a decent speed. The free breakfast in the morning was very nice, with hot selections including eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, make-your-own Belgian waffles, and biscuits and gravy. There were plenty of cold selections, including fruit, cereal, and muffins. Overall, it was one of the better breakfasts I’ve had at a hotel. I was there on business, and it was extremely convenient to the Irving area and to the airport. However, there was almost nothing within walking distance from the hotel.

I would give this hotel a 3 ½. Forced to choose 3 or 4 I leaned towards 4 for value, cleanliness, quiet and nice staff. Convenient location if you are doing business in the area and close to DFW. Hotel seems«newer» and was very clean. Free parking, free wi-fi, and a nice free hot breakfast(eggs, waffles, etc) along with good room rates makes this place a good value. Staff were friendly, professional and accomodating. The rooms are a little bit bigger than a typical hotel room, with a small sitting area and a wet-bar with mini-frig, sink and microwave but everything is still in one room and much smaller than some suite hotels that offer a seperate bedroom, living room and full kitchen. If you are solo, this place is fine and quiet. If you have kids or want more of an apartment size suite, you may think these«suites» are too small. All in all a good value but we prefer larger suites with seperate bed/living areas so we will probably try other suite hotels in the area and compare.
