I went here on a whim because I was hungry and we were in the area. I saw gourmet and figured it would be just that. You can kinda see where this is going . So I walk in and I am pleasantly greeted by a nice guy. I quickly ordered Orange Shrimp with fried rice for me and my bf got Mongolian shrimp. We both got fried rice as a side. It comes with a spring roll for each entrée . The great thing is the food is made to order and it only took a few minutes. I do like that . I did not taste my bf’s food, but I was very disappointed with mine. The orange shrimp was covered in the orange sauce, but the taste of the shrimp could not be disguised. It was very fishy(yes I know it’s fish) overly salty, and sort of over fried. It was battered but to the point of almost bring burnt. I don’t consider it gourmet . I don’t want this review to be bad as I just may need to try another dish, but not sure when I’ll be back.

Nice simple selection, Luke warm temp during lunch peak and the food is only fair, nothing to write home about.

It might have been a 1 star but I was hungry. The sign says Gourmet Chinese. I assure you there is nothing gourmet about a location that serves subpar food on foam plates with cheap plastic forks. I had the mystery orange chicken that was mushy and tasted nothing like orange chicken. Not edible. The sweet & sour chicken and fried rice was just okay. I am not a fan of Panda Express but they are hands down better than what I just experienced. I cannot recommend nor would I return.

Had delivery last night. The food was amazing and the price was cheap for dinner portions. I finally found my new fav Chinese spot.

There are not many absolutes in life but after trying Dragon Express I have experienced one of the rare absolutes in my life. Dragon Express is absolutely the worst Chinese food that I have ever eaten. This is not an exaggeration, in fact I am understating how good this place is. It is not for cleanliness because when I went here the place was rather clean and had no bad smells. The people were nice enough. The food was the worst, I mean the absolute worst Chinese food. My friend had the orange-flavored chicken and I had the sesame chicken also I had brown rice and my friend had the fried rice. The consistency of the food, the texture of the food, the taste of the food was really crappy. Look, you will not get sick from this food as I don’t think it is bad but if you want any kind of enjoyment in your meal then you should stay away. Stay away. I love Chinese food and I understand with these Express places that you are not going to get the better quality but come on, I really expect some quality and it just wasn’t here. As many have said before, it is too bad that one star is the lowest you can grade because here they do not deserve any stars. It always scares me a little when I see people giving multiple stars to places like this and it makes you wonder what kind of personal standards for dining quality they have but I guess that is why places like this remain in business.

I ordered delivery from this place since I was staying at a hotel and visiting the area. They came so quickly! And the food was delicious, no complaints. I loved the orange chicken and crab rangoons. So all in all, I’d definitely recommend this place!

Got the orange chicken and Lo mein and it all tastes pretty fresh. I went through the drive thru so I don’t know how the inside is but my food was very good. 10x better than panda

Dragon Express used to be one of our favorite Chinese spots but the food has drastically changed since the new management has taken over.

Pretty good food. Very similar to panda express. People wrote that the food was bland but I thought it was very well seasoned. I especially loves the lo mein noodles! The price is 6.95(2 entrees) and 7.95(3 entrees)

AREYOUKIDDINGME?! Whomever rated this restaurant above 1 star should seriously get their taste buds checked. Is there any way to give a negative star? The food was absolutely tasteless. I ordered the sesame chicken with lo mein. How could that go wrong you ask? Go to Dragon Express and see. Who’s cooking back there? This place should come with a warning: BUYER’S BEWARE

This is not a great dinner spot. There I a buffet that is empty if you go for dinner. It might be full at lunch. The egg rolls appear to be from a factory. They were the exact same shape and had lots of wonton wrapper. The broccoli beef did not have tons of flavor and the only good quality was the broccoli itself because it was fresh. Will probably not return

This is your typical fast food Chinese place(like Panda express) but cool because they cook the fried rice is made to order and the portions are pretty big. Everything else was just average, with the expected dishes. The most disgusting thing was the fact that as soon as I entered the restaurant, the two cooks who are out in the open turned and stared at me as I made my way down the food line. THEENTIRETIME!!! Even though their backs were supposed to be facing towards the customers, they actually made an effort to turn around while making the different fried rices and just kept staring at me, uncomfortably so. The two kept whispering to each other, like damn high school boys, and one even gave me a creepy wink. I wouldn’t recommend this place to begin with, but definitely not after the cooks who aren’t professional enough to know that female customers don’t want to feel creeped out while getting some shitty food.

I first want to apologize to any of my Texas friends, or Texas readers who might think that this hell hole is in any way passable Asian style food. If this is you, then I must inform you that you are 1000% wrong. Since moving here from the great city on the Columbia I have not been able to find many Asian restaurants. I still have not. Dragon Express will get one star from me, because the staff are mere mortals, and they don’t know any better. DRAGONEXPRESSISTHEWORSTRESTAURANTINEXISTENCE, and you should eat there only if you want to lose weight. I say this because one trip to Dragon Express will make you vomit at the thought of food for days to come. On my first trip I got what they call Orange Chicken-a standard in all Chinese joints from Souix City to Sacramento. No flavor, but full of essential(ly) bad oils. I felt pity for my dog, so I left this garbage in the garbage where it belonged. Next time I tried the Curry Chicken. Actually this was OK, but it had very little flavor, and it reminded me of the little old lady who made chili with Tomato soup. My third trip was and is the last. I got Sesame Chicken, thinking to myself, «How could anyone ruin this simple dish?» Well they did. Pardon me while I run to the restroom. I can still taste the greasy, grisly mess that I actually poisoned myself with. BEWARE! TAKECARE! AVOIDLIKETHEPLAGUE. EATHEREANDYOUWILLWISHYOUCOULDGETHEALTHYBYGETTINGTHEPLAGUE. When this place fails, and eventually it will, the staff will find other jobs. It is OK.

Just got a teriyaki bowl from the drive thru on my lunch break. It was completely in edible. I threw away everything but the rice, which was also pretty terrible. Never going back.

My husband and I just got over food poisoning from this place. Took him 3 days to recover and I’m on my 4th day and just now recovering. Culprit — their chicken fried rice. The worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever had — will spare you the gory details. Saw a couple other reviews here citing lack of cleanliness and bugs in food, so basically STAYAWAY! Unilocal forced me to click at least one star but really I rate it zero.

This place has THEBESTVEGETABLEPLATE I have ever had in my life. I was on a fast of only veggies and fruit and needed something filling and stopped by here on a whim and I tell you, I am not disappointed! The veggies were crisp and fresh. It was simply delicious. The sauce they made the veggies was so delicious, my 10 year old ate almost all of my food before I could even dig in… This place gets a 10 from me and my daughter.

This place has cheap food for the portion you get. I like the food(I do not love it). When I am really hungry and I cannot decide on anything else I go here. I usually get the large(dinner size) chicken and shrimp fried rice. Do not get the beef in your rice. Something about it just isn’t right. I do like that I can have them make my rice extra spicy which is nice. The only thing is it never has enough soy sauce or salt in the rice. It is bland. I always get mine to go so before I leave I open up the container and add alot of soy sauce from one of the tables. The cons are that their customer service is terrible. I once placed a $ 75 order with them and they wanted to charge me extra for a few small condiments of spice oil and extra soy sauce. They offer a rewards program but the machine always seems to be broken when I go in so I do not get credit for going. That and the attitude that I get from the lady behind the counter is that she just doesn’t care what I think about the service. The reason I go is because sometimes I want enough rice to feed a small army for about $ 8-$ 9 and I can get it extra spicy. If I add soy sauce before I leave the food is decent. The service is why I stay away. Oh and do not venture out for anything other than the rice. I have tried numerous other items on the menu and they were okay to bad.

The food is cheap, fresh made and have lot of options and good portion size to make you happily full. Some of the items are hit-or-miss but for 2 or 3 lunch items options, you can’t go wrong. Service is fast; seating area is ample and clean; condiments and cutlery are laid out so you don’t need to bother the staffs. A decent option for lunch especially if you work nearby.

Some would complain that Dragon Express is basically a Panda Express knock off, but not me. The Dragon has learned from the Panda and has done it better. The portion sizes are generous. I have been on a no carb diet for the last couple months and ask for no rice at all. So instead the server adds extra amounts of the 2 main dish choices to make up for it. If you want some good no carb choices go for the Mixed vegetables, teriyaki chicken, or jalapeño chicken. All are very good. If carb cutting isn’t your style get the orange chicken it is top notch. The prices are cheap, if you just get a meal and a water your total is less than $ 7. The food is fresh at lunch time. There are enough people during lunch rush, that the choices are always being refilled. Which leads to the service, which is speedy and friendly. There is lots of seating and everything is clean. So what more can you ask. Is it the best Chinese food you will ever have in you life… no. Is it a great place to stop for your busy lunch hour… yes So get over there and eat already.
