The food was as decent as what you’d expect at an inexpensive Chinese restaurant, but the lady taking our orders was rather rude and abrasive, telling us «no, can’t do that» at almost every combo request. She was also rather condescending when I accidentally took the wrong order when there were multiple trays lined up on the counter for DIY pickup. You’d be better off going elsewhere.

I had the Kung Pao Chicken with white rice which was very tasty. The chicken was fully cooked with the proper seasoning. The celery was a perfect addition to it and properly cooked. The roasted peanuts were also a good addition. I liked the garlic bits in the sauce as it adds the finishing flavor. I give it 4 stars because the rice portion was very little compared to the main entrée and the carrot slices felt a bit under-cooked. The food did come out hot and fast which is a plus and the price was very reasonable.

Royal Chopstick Restaurant for lunch! Some of the best sweet and sour chicken we’ve had since we’ve been in Dallas! Definitely was enough to share… which we’ll keep in mind for next time! #lunch #chinese #dallasfood #dallasfoodie #chicken

The food is pretty good. For two people it’s about $ 20. I wish they delivered but it’s worth the drive. A lot of people seem to order ahead over the phone for take out.

Horrible service, what’s the point in calling your order ahead of time and still have to wait over 20 minutes for your order. Kitchen was too busy cleaning up and they aren’t even suppose to close for another 2 hours. Definitely won’t be back.

Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. I messed up my order and still was pleasantly surprised with the food. It had great flavor and good quality meat(I’m very picky), huge portions(ate for 2 days), will definitely become a regular!

I have a love hate relationship with this place. I love it but I think it will kill me, as nothing this good can be good for you. :) I would live at this place its that was possible and die happy and probably a 1000 pounds. But it would be worth it.

Delicious, quick, affordable, wok — made food. My family and I come here once a week on Fridays to enjoy the delicious and affordable food that they make. We call this day Stir-Friday. This family owned and operated restaurant is not afraid to add flavor and spice to their dishes and brings fresh ingredients in everything. You can dine in or get it to go and you won’t be disappointed with the food either way.

I had seen this place from the highway and based on the thought the look of a old style dinner did not match what I would expect for a Chinese restaurant, so I had not gone in to visit. That was until I was the reviews on Unilocal and then I decided to give it a go. I was very pleasantly surprised at food. Royal Chopstix is a true Chinese fast, fresh food restaurant. The menu is expansive and hard to make a decision of what to have while standing at the counter to order. The only bummer is that the menu does not have a description of many of the items so if you are wanting to try something different from your normal, it is hard to know exactly what to expect. I was very impressed at how quick my food was ready. Since it is so fresh it comes out smoking hot and my dish was served in a little mini wok, which I thought was really cool. The flavors are all there. I had the sesame chicken and it had a great sauce and they let me add spice to it so it was just like I wanted it. Overall the price is a value as well. I will be coming back to try some new dishes soon. Thank you Royal Chopstix for being such a pleasant surprise.

This is a good place to go for some quick Americanized Chinese cravings. I always get the same thing(creature of habit) and it is awesome, the sweet and sour chicken, yum. My husband always gets the beef fried rice, and the chips are great with the food. I will never stop going here.

I come here frequently for lunch as I work nearby. I’ve always gotten great customer service and the food is yummy. As others have mentioned the egg drop soup is awesome! A cup is $ 2 and makes a great cheapo lunch on a cold day. Always hot and fast for pick ups. I’ve tried several Chinese food restaurants in the area but this is the best IMO.

Royal Chopstix is like an old friend… always ready and waiting with a hot bowl of Lo Mein to sooth your pain. Americanized Chinese food is the name of the game here and they do it VERY well. Everything is made to order and comes out of the kitchen piping hot and fresh, every time. I am partial to any of the Lo Mein combinations served up with a side of Vegetable Egg Rolls. I have also found the Mu Shu options to be very good as well. Extra kudos for the free wonton skins. These make a delicious snack while you wait for the main event. The service is also always very friendly and quick.

I ordered the sesame chicken to go. I thought since I was running late to pick up my food that it would be soggy. To my surprise it wasn’t! When I got there to pick it up the ladies were super friendly and service was quick! They have a lot of food choices. The food tasted fresh. I will be coming back.

I cannot understand the reviews here. This food was just not good at all. Quality of the ingredients was poor and the flavors were bland. Terrible

I researched on Unilocal to find a great chinese restaurant since the one I use to go to has changed as far as the quality and taste. I’m so glad I found Royal Chopstix. I went last night and It took me about 30 minutes to drive but if the food is great I’m willing to go. When I first arrived I was greeted by a very friendly woman. I’m not sure if she is the owner. I told her this was my first time and she proceeded to explain how each dish could be made medium, spicy or extra spicy. She gave me great suggestions too. I already had my mind made up before I arrived which dishes I wanted to get. I got the sesame beef, combination lo mein(without chicken), combination fried rice with extra eggs and mediums spicy and without chicken, royal beef extra spicy and egg rolls. While waiting for my food to be cooked the same woman explained that they had a bar with different hot sauces. I got my husband the chopped jalapeños and the hot oil. The also have chopstix which I haven’t used in years but I know how to use them. When I arrived home my husband and I had a mini buffet. Everything was delicious. I love extra eggs in my fried rice and they gave me plenty. More than any place I have ever been to. I have never had eggs in my lo mien but it comes with it and I love it. The rice was a little spicy for me. I wanted to try something with a little heat but next time I will just get it mild. The egg rolls weren’t the best I have ever had but they were ok. I will definitely come back again and try new dishes. The dishes I ordered are my all time favorite.

pretty solid! I went with the usual suspect– Szechuan chicken and a hot and sour soup. the presentation was actually my favorite part of the experience. the entrée is served in a little aluminum wok with rice(they have white, brown, and fried) on the side. the veggies, though lacking in variety(all the dishes only have 2 – 4 mixed veggies) were nicely julianned and had great texture. this particular sauce was a bit vinegary but not unpleasantly so. the best part is the price. entrée and soup were under ten bucks. it’s also basically self serve so no tip is required(although I did leave a couple bucks for the busser). it’s a bit hidden, but overall a great value and would certainly recommend.

I think I just found myself a new favorite Chinese restaurant. Earlier this week, I went with a friend of mine from church to this restaurant for lunch. Looking at their menu, their prices are simpler and very reasonable for the type of meats, as compared to the multiple prices for the other restaurants, and you get a choice between the fountain drinks or the sodas in their fridge. We also get to see first hand that the food is hot & fresh from the kitchen. Not just that, but very delicious to the taste. It was too bad my eyes were bigger than my stomach this time around, but thankfully, they have some take home cartons available for grabs. I’m definitely going there again soon to get some take home meals for my family.

For what it is, Royal Chopstix is pretty good. It’s quick. It’s affordable. It’s good. Perfect place to dine in with coworkers. The exterior is like the old 50’s diner layout but inside is all about Chinese food!!! I had an order of the flat noodles black bean sauce with tofu. You could get chicken or beef but I opted for tofu. It comes with bell peppers and onions. I dont like bell peppers so I will be sure to ask without it next time. Service was nice and there is plenty of seats during lunch hour.
