This is a small, very clean and well decorated place. It kind of steal you away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas. I ordered the drunken noodle lunch special. I really enjoyed the crunch of the broccoli, but to me the chicken was a bit chewy like it had been over cooked. The quality didn’t quite match the price, but the ambiance did. The service was so-so. It kind of bugs me that when I come in alone, it’s hard to get refills on water or ask to get something. I’d definitely come back and try something else, but not high on my priority list.

GREAT new Thai place! Amazing food, nice atmosphere, and wonderful service. So many Thai places in the area, skip them all and just go to Chilli Thai!

AFC conference championship game 2016. I’m going to remember it for two reasons. First, my Denver Broncos won a nail-biter of a game that came down to the last play in the last minute. It could’ve gone either way. I watched the game with my best friends, one of which is a die-hard Patriots fan. It was sweet. It was satisfying. He went home and did not join the rest of us for dinner after in fear that his tears would ruin the flavor of whatever he ordered. Second, we ate at Chilli Thai for the first time. We thought about going to Bangkok Orchid but it was a bit of a trek from where we were and another Thai place nearby only got somewhat decent reviews. We found Chilli Thai on Unilocal and gave the 4.5 star place a whirl. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Thai place. The service is pretty good. The restaurant wasn’t packed and things took a while to get to us, but it wasn’t terrible. There was a bit of confusion with our bill that needed to be fixed, which isn’t really that big of a deal except for the fact that the waitress and I discussed the problem before she took my debit card and she somehow forgot what we had talked about, somewhere between our conversation and the cash register. Again, no big deal. Easy fix. The refills came often. Big problem — the food came out one at a time. Two of my friends were half way through their meals before the third dish was served, and the third dish was half way eaten before the last dish arrived. We didn’t want anyone’s food to get cold so we agreed to go ahead and eat separately. A little bit of an annoyance but honestly, no big deal. We had good conversation and the restaurant’s atmosphere is very nice. However, I can see how someone with little or no patience would find this very irritating. I ordered the Thai Volcano on the chef’s specialty portion of the menu and my wife ordered the red snapper dish. My table also ordered two orders of pad Thai. Standard fair. The pad thai wasn’t remarkable. My friends enjoyed it but it wasn’t mind boggling. My dish tho, the Thai Volcano. Holy smokes. If you enjoy seafood, and Thai food you NEED to try it. The red snapper was really tasty too. My food was so good that I really want to give this place five stars, but I can’t. So, overall, this place was okay. But my food was so great that I’m really willing to overlook the things I noticed during dinner. Who knows, from experience I know that servers and restaurant staff have off nights and maybe this was one of them.

I have been to many Thai restaurants in the Las Colinas area and this is by far the best! The customer service is excellent, the food is fresh and high quality. The price of the food is very reasonable and this place is BYOB. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Came here for lunch with some co-workers. The place and location is very nice. I ordered the Thai fried rice with pork and it was very delicious. The pork was fresh and the rice was fried perfectly. The meal came with a soup and that was also very good. The staff was very friendly. Too many Thai restaurants around my work location but this place will certainly be one of my top choices when to eat Thai food.

Pad kee mow was great! Fast and very pleasant service. They forgot my soup with the lunch special, but I had plenty food. One of the few Thai restaurants in DFW where I’ve found sticky rice with egg custard.

First time trying the place. The green curry is up there with the best I’ve ever had. Service was great. The pad Thai had slightly different flavor(not much peanut) than i’m used to but was still excellent! Reasonable prices and good atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!

I’m intrigued by Chilli Thai, I like their menu offerings and despite being their at lunch our service was reasonably fast. We were greeted and waited upon quickly as the restaurant wasn’t crowded. We placed our order and this time I was in the mood for Basil fried rice. My dining companions placed their orders and not soon after some tasty Tom Yum soup with tofu was delivered to our table. The temp and the seasoning were both great. The next thing to happen was a bit of a complaint, one of my companions received her meal we believe it was for another table. She ordered her meal level 2 spice and it was hot. She noticed after she tasted her food someone looking for their order that had arrived before us. When she questioned the one who brought it out if it was hers because it was too spice she said that both tables had the same level of spice. it was clearly more spicy than level 2 and she could have just admitted the mistake and taken it back. My friend doesn’t like to make waves so she kept it, she didn’t finish it and probably gave the leftovers away. My dish was good but it was lacking on the basil. there were only 3 sprigs and it should have been full of basil, maybe not full but more than 3 small leaves. Would I try them again, yes even with those mishaps I would go at least one more time.

I’ve been to the Carrollton location several times and was excited to see a new location close to home. Today, recovering after being sick for days, all I wanted was Tom Ka noodle soup with shrimp and I figured Chilli Thai was my best bet. I almost cried tears of happiness when I got it home! It is perfect – just the right spice, plenty of shrimp, fresh flavors – I’m glad I followed my craving. This soup would cure almost anything.

Chilli Thai is a Thai restaurant that recently opened in the Valley Ranch area of Irving. There are plenty of Thai restaurants in the Las Colinas\Valley Ranch corridor, and Chilli Thai is a welcome edition. I believe they have multiple locations, but this review will focus on their MacArthur location. My Overall Rating — 4 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — Located in a popular strip mall north of 635, you’ll find Chilli Thai tucked in the middle. Inside you’ll find a nice, clean, nicely appointed restaurant. Plenty of seating available with numerous tables and a long wall with leather bound bench seating. The main kitchen is in the back so it’s a practical design all around. 1 Star. Service — Lunch on a weekday(11:30) and it was not crowded. Our service was excellent. Our server was patient(it’s a big menu), attentive, and quick. Not sure how their service is when the restaurant was full, but on this visit it was fantastic. 1 Star. Food — Let me be the first to admit I am no Thai expert. I enjoy Thai food quite a bit, and on this lunch visit it was Chilli Thai hit the spot. Our lunch came with a Tom Yum soup. It may have been vegetarian Tom Yum as there was no shrimp. The broth was warm, had a nice tang, and was a good start. For my primary dish I went with the Pad Woon Sen(glass noodles) with tofu. This is my go to Thai restaurant dish, and my Pad Woon Sen had plenty of fresh ingredients tossed in the glass noodles. Definitely satisfied with the dish. 1 Star. Will I Return? — Yes. Looks like Irving gets another quality Thai restaurant. Those who live and work in Irving know that MacArthur gets packed during the lunch rush. If you’re a fan of Thai food, you can add Chilli Thai to your list to visit. I have. 1 Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five-star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.

I’ve been nearly a weekly regular at the Carrolton location for at least 3 years. I used to be in the area every Monday, so I had coined the Carrolton location as my Monday lunch spot. And it was. Rarely missed a Monday dining there. The food is exceptionally delicious and the customer service is awesome too. I was excited to see that they opened an Irving location since I actually live in Irving. I dropped in today and much to my surprise my favorite waitress was at this location. It was great to see her. She mentioned that she rotates locations, so I will be sure to still pay my respects to the Carrolton location too. The food is just as great at this location. The tom yum soup, the curry fried rice and the peanut based salad dressing are all above and beyond delicious. They know how to spice it up without spiciness being forced into the dish. All of the meals flow well and have a great flavorful balance that cannot be ignored. This is hands down the best Thai in Irving and I’m so glad they expanded. My recommendations: hot green tea, curry fried rice with beef-level 4(if you like spicy), tom yum soup-level 3 and the side salad that comes with the meals. Absolutely amazing. The curry they use is quality and balanced as well. Welcome to Irving my friends! See you soon and regularly!

The wife and I checked this place out after craving some Thai after a flight from out of town. Our usual spot near the Airport had seen a decrease in quality over time and we figured we’d try a new spot. This place is fantastic! Everything was fresh and the service is great! We had the Thai bail veggies and seafood, the chef special fried snapper(great flavor!), and some fried rice with seafood. Everything was mouth-watering my good compared to our old spot, with much better flavor. I enjoyed the two appetizers we tried… the corn patties(the accompanying sauce is very complimentary) and the bikini shrimp and would recommend them. The portions are pretty large, so expect to have leftovers for lunch the next day. Highly recommend.

The portions were generous. The Tom Yum soup was great, but the appetizers(veggie fresh rolls & fried tofu) were meh. The entrees — Pan Woonsen and Mussaman curry were really good. The pad thai was apparently was just ok. I will come back again to retry.

I ordered the green curry at a level 3 for spiciness. When I arrived to pick up the staff were so sweet and nice. They wished me a good day and that they hoped I enjoyed the meal. Overall, I would say this is one of the best green curries I have had. I was also pleasantly surprised to se that they included a veggie egg roll with the sauce! I will definitely check out more of their dishes when I’m in the area! The portion was good.

This is one of the best Thai restaurant in Irving. We ordered Thai somosa, soup, pad Thai, and fried rice. We were not disappointed with any of these dishes. Since all our family members are vegetarian, we are always concerned about fish sauce that many Thai restaurants use in «vegetarian» dishes! But here they do not. The service was great. Only improvement I would make is I will make their«4» spicy more like«4» spicy at other Thai restaurants!

I’ve been in three times total, once a week. Two out of three they messed up my order. The first time was good. Second, I ordered curry noodles with tofu but they gave me curry noodles with chicken. I didn’t complain. Third time, I ordered curry noodles with tofu and they gave me drunken noodles with tofu. I specifically ordered curry noodles because I hate bell peppers in the drunken noodles. What was brought out as a drunken noodles full of lettuce and bell peppers… I picked them out and they came by to offer to make me the right entrée. I’m on lunch from work, Chili Thai needed to get it right the first time. I barely ate my lunch. What was worse was, they gave me a check to pay for my lunch after they got it wrong and then they’re going to act like the 20% off on Unilocal check in was just so much discount to give. Never coming back

Nice environment. Friendly service. It’s not exactly Thai. It’s very pan asian. The food is pretty good. I ordered the Tiger Cry, which is a beef tenderloin steak. It was cooked medium rare as I ordered and sliced Japanese style. The sauce it was served with was spicy and paired well with the steak.

Was my fist time here and I must say the food was yummy. Saw this place and it is new. So wanted to try it. And like most Thai places here it was the more American version of Thai food. But I have to say was still good. I had the curry. And it was just right flavor. But watch the spicy. Can get hot fast. Desert was to die for. See the pic. Mango coconut rice my favorite. And was made well. As for the staff. They were wonderful and very helpful and friendly. Hope this place stay. I will be back.
