food is great but idk what happened. Their service has gotten so slow. I am in the drive through and it’s been a good 15 minutes with 3 card ahead of me.

Love The Habit for fast, fresh, satisfying lunch. This location is busy but delish! Pick it up for the office and everyone is always more than pleased. Some faves are the ahi sandwich and the chicken sandwich on sourdough. I like the Santa barbera char and tempura green beans. Ian rocks on the drive through.

First visit to try a Charburger with cheese for free. There were not so many seats inside. The burger was tasty, except that the pickles were cold. Also the bonus fry was great!

The most terrible customer service I have ever had in my life! I was working late with my team so we decided to do a call in order at the habit. The lady on the phone took down my order, my credit card number and TOLD me that my order would be ready in 10 mins. So I go to pick up my order after 10 mins and the guy tells me to wait. after another 10 mins they tell me that because their internet was down they couldn’t make my order, so I needed to get back in line and reorder!!! UGHHHHH! I understand that their internet was down but they least they could have done was be polite about it and call me back before I came in?! So I wait in line for a good 15 mins a and when its finally my turn, the cashier seemed to be very rude with me. I asked for an itemized receipt and she looked at me like I was CRAZY! And obviously they couldn’t give me an itemized receipt cause their system was down… As am waiting the cashier comes by and gives EVERYONE else in line some coupon and says sorry for the wait and COMPLETELY skips me and this one other guy… SUPERRUDE!!! And to top it all off, I waited 20+ mins for my food to finally come, and as I got back I realized they never GAVE me my fries that they charged me for!!! And that’s not it, I found a hair in my salad too! FREAKINGGROSS! Not only did they waste my time, but they were hella rude about it too.

Wish I knew HAIR was an ingredient in my burger. I’ts lunch time and I’m hungry and shirt on time and the habit had the shortest drive-thru line out of the Panda and Taco Bell so I figured why not. I’ll eat a burger for once. I was ¾ of the way through my burger when I look down and see 2 hairs embedded into my burger patty. I pulled one out to inspect. And indeed, it was a hair… Looked like an eyelash. Pretty disgusting. I threw away the rest of the burger and didn’t bother to touch my fries at that point. Please practice safe food handling procedures. No one wants to be eating food and realize there’s hair all in it. I’m going to go on practicing my non-burger eating habits… The one time I get a burger! My luck. Must be a sign.

The Habit here is the best of all, even better than locations in Northern California. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by Tylor. It wasn’t the typical«Hello what can I get for you» greeting that a lot of customer service is like nowadays. My friends and I came relatively late and I’m certain he’s tired(I work in the food industry too), but he still kept a positive attitude and a smile on his face. We interacted, asked how I’m doing, and we even had a mini conversation about coffee shops and stuff like that. Exceptional customer service. The interior’s extremely clean and food comes fast. The buzzer buzzes when food is ready so the«food doesn’t wait for you.» Lots of inside and outside seating. All the workers seem genuine and kind. 5 stars for service! The burger was great, too. The chimichurro fries has a nice kick of garlic; a bit greasy in my opinion, but it was good. They have salad options too for folks trying to keep healthy(heh).

I was craving for burger so I went here at Habit and ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I really like Habit burger no nonsense burger almost like In n Out but a little bit more expensive. Went around noon there’s a lot of people inside there was a line which is good at least you know people like their food. In my opinion Habit burger is one of the best burgers in that price I think it tastes better than GD bro burger and cheaper too!

The Habit is one of my favorite burger spots, and this location lives up to it with the food. My issues are more with logistics. Parking is a big problem at lunch, and the dining area is super small for the amount of business they get. I have driven over here multiple times, only to go elsewhere out of frustration. No room to expand, but I know I have to pick and choose the times I come here.

There are few things in life that are as satisfying as a good burger and fries combo. The char on beef stirs our primal instincts when there was no other way to cook beef but on a spear over an open flame… And snapping back to reality, the the couple with a new baby puts the carrier on the table and Im reminded that this is The Habit and I just devoured my burger. Again. This location is one of the best in the chain. The dining room is spotless and staff are ridiculously happy.

I’m mostly writing this review for the drive-thru service that I experienced at this location. The burger itself was okay, not much to say about a fast food burger other than it gets that late night munchie craving fulfilled or breaking your diet/new year resolution. The drive thru at this location feels as though they put a high schooler in charge. My order was wrong, the wait was way too long, and after I asked for small yellow chili peppers, I was given giant pepperoncinis that soaked my bag with it’s juice. My only tip would be don’t use the drive though and just take the time to sit inside :)

Ask yourself this question why is In-N-Out line packed and this place is dead empty. Not as good. Simply said.

I hate these awkward moments in reviewing the burger wars. It always seems to come down to some exercise of comparison shopping with In-N-Out. The Habit makes a great burger, but is 2 dollars more expensive. 8 dollars gets you a single patty, more than decent fries, and a medium drink. 6 dollars gets you a double double and fries. In this Throwdown, I prefer In-N-Out.

Burn much!!! Come ON Habit, y’all are NOT helping me! I had to twist my husband’s arm to go to the Habit vs InNout… and this is how you repay me? :( Not only did I lose this battle, but I’m losing faith in you. Please get it together. You’re way too expensive for a burger joint to be serving burnt burgers. If you burn something, do it over! Dont’ serve it. That’s not just carelessness– it’s unacceptable. I’ll be reaching out to management.

This review is based off experience of my coworker. I waited over 20 minutes of mine and made a simple request of leafed lettuce versus shredded lettuce. I did not want shredded lettuce. Tell me why I get a burger and it’s the wraps and iceberg lettuce? I don’t understand I did not order a lettuce wrap burger I want my carbs! I pay cash, I called and spoke to a female at 1:35PM on January 8 I left her my information and she claimed a manager would get back to me it took majority of my break to go there and to receive my food, do you think I want to drive back? I honestly want to re-fun and compensation for a free meal next time. I’ve been here so many times and I’m really disappointed. Manager of the day, you really need to take a look at your team and see who’s working and who’s not working. The corporate office you need to be on top of your general manager and make sure things like this don’t happen. I wonder how long until I receive a phone call Once again this review is based off of my coworkers experience

Normally all is good with their food but today their fry were rancid tasting. I went back to complain about the fries, the assured me they change their oil once a week and proceeded make a new batch(same oil) so the new fries still tasted funky :( Update(Nov 19,2015): management apologized for my bad experience. I thank them for their concern and attention. Today I decided to give this location another try. They’ve redeemed themselves. My son’s cheese sandwich was toothpickless. My meal was delicious and the French fries were great. No rancid oil taste, hooray!

The Habit Burger Grill makes one fantastic burger! The Habit has been quietly creating a Southern Californian empire over the course of the last 5 years and many comparisons to In N Out in terms of quality and taste have been made for great reasons. If there is a West Coast based fast food burger franchise to challenge the great In N Out I have to think they are it. The interior is clean and they are quite adept at moving the sometimes massive lines right along even though each meal is cooked to order. The Habit differentiates themselves from the pack by offering things such as a Pastrami, fresh LimeAid and even a credible Santa Barbara styled TriTip sandwich. I have had all of them and disliked not a one. The Double Charburger is what I look for each visit and ranks at #3 in my fast food top ten after In N Out and NYC’s Shake Shack. The stock version comes with dual charbroiled patties with a slice of cheese on each patty, mayonnaise, pickles, fresh tomato, lettuce and caramelized onions on a toasted bun and in my opinion needs no further adornment. The meat to cheese ratio is perfect in the Double version, but the regular Charburger is more than sufficient for those with a smaller appetite. The Sweet Potato Fries and regular Fries all deserve mention as they all do an admirable job. The Onion Rings are phenomenal and at $ 2.25, a sure bet. In fact, you should be able to feed 2 easily with $ 15.00 and have plenty of options for notch at The Habit. I can’t wait for my next Double Charburger!

It’s fine to eat here. I would give it a 3.5 if available. The Strong Point to the Habit is that the Burgers are flame broiled and not cooked on a greasy grill like In and Out, Burger Lounge, and other places. Not sure why everyone does not use a flame grill – its such a better burger for you. Fat drips off and grease does not soak the bun. Ask for a whole wheat bun – it tastes better. The Double Charburgers are very good, not the best that you will have, but better than In and Out and a good value at under $ 5.00. The Sweet potato fries come in frozen, and are not greasy and delicious. Another good value. The Tuna Burger comes out seared, but raw like sushi on the inside. Caution: They put Mayo on the Burgers unless you stop them. Staff and service are fine. Summary: It’s a good burger, good value, fast friendly service, nice table and atmosphere. I would get a burger if coming here – that is what they specialize in. Easy no-hassel parking. Walmart is next door.

This location is extremely packed for lunch so my coworker and I ordered our food online and it was easy breezy. They gave you options to take off items or add extra to your meal. Some items are free while others like cheese, mushrooms, etc cost extra. I ordered the double char without mayo wrapped in lettuce with extra tomatoes and shared an order of onion rings. Our food was ready when we arrived but they do not make your sides until you get there so I stocked up on some condiments and jalapenos while we waited. Within minutes, our food was ready and our server gave us extra 2 ranches to go. Yummm Food was delicious and definitely hit the spot.

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #54 TL;DR Traffic bad. The food… I’ll let you decide. Also known to me as «Similar to In-n-Out», I finally made my way to the Habit in Irvine! This is the one that is near The District and in the plaza with Seafood City. Traffic here is terrible. We went at 1pm, and we saw one minor bump(a car hit another), someone running over the cones in the Habit drive thru(one actually went under the car LOL), honking, couple near misses with drivers being aggressive. Ugh. Terrible terrible way to go. There are some parking spots, but if you want to get away from the cars, park near Seafood City. I think that’s the best thing that you can do haha. Now you want me to talk about The Habit burgers, eh? Fineeee. The Charburger. Since, you know, I feel like always getting the classic thing at new places, something that is original to base it off other burgers. Opinion here is that it tastes like something that is more higher class than In-n-Out, but for some odd reason, I like the In-n-Out burger a bit better. Hmm. Less oily(maybe that’s why: P), you got the patty with cheese, with onions, lettuce, and tomatoes, like a standard burger. Oh I remember why, it’s cuz they don’t have the special sauce: P Haha. I guess that’s an unfair comparison xD I added mushrooms for an extra dollar. Yessum :3 I love mushrooms and yay there’s more variety. It’s like 1⁄10th the option of Five Guys too! Haha ALLTHESEBURGERJOINTS. Their fries are not steak fries, but the smaller ones, but not a lot of salt. :) It was $ 8 for everything, so not too bad(: Prob cuz I added the mushrooms haha(not really worth it), so go ahead and get stuffed here! Try another location, this one is pretty busy.
