This park is picturesque but the toddler play area so is spaced out that it really isn’t practical. Also, there’s only one small slide which is kind of a let down for kids. This is a much better park for walks, exploring and visits to the green house.

We have had some historical times in our great country. We landed the first man on the moon, elected the first black president, invented the first iphone, and now we have the first Bike Park! If you asked anyone 200 years ago if America will ever have a Bike Park, you would have got some strange looks, and now, in the year 2014, we finally have one! And it is first class. The tiled bathrooms in this park are nicer than most people’s homes. The bicycle clubhouse where you can sit and relax rivals or beats many private clubs. They have free air in case you forget to fill up, they have filtered water, and they have some tools. The park is expansive, modern, and makes you feel good to be alive. It’s a public park, so treat is nicely because it belongs to everyone. No camping or sleeping in the park… unless your spouse throws you out for the night. But also be kind to homeowners that live in the neighborhoods surrounding the park. It’s called the Great Parks Neighborhood of Irvine. You should be kind to them because many as you can imagine are major stressed paying mortgages and local taxes on new homes that start at 1M and currently average closer to 1.5M. You have to work very hard to live here(or have a rich relative). So most may not even have time to ride a bike and enjoy this great park they are working so much. I make this my pit stop on my way to the Santiago Canyon Cycling Challenge – one of the best bike rides in Orange County.

This place just opened recently and is within walking distance from my house! I was here for the friday night happenings and had a blast! What a great venue to bring the community together. There were gourmet food trucks, a country band, tables and chairs, and an actual bar serving beer and wine. Entrance was free. There are events here all the time including yoga in the park and gardening and cooking classes with a greenhouse, large lobby with a gigantic movie screen, and clean bathrooms. I’m looking forward to getting more involved!
