I have been meaning to review this place for awhile and it kind of slipped through the cracks until we drove by here earlier tonight. This is one of those locations I was dying to try a couple of years back and have been wanting to come back to again but never had the chance. I was dumbfounded to see that they have since gone out of business. Original Buffalo Wings was located in a very busy shopping center off Jamboree Road in Irvine(has since been replaced by a BBQ restaurant). This place was a haven for college kids in the area due to the AYCE(All You Can Eat) Tuesday deals. My experience here was neither great nor terrible. The service was good and the pricing was right in line with what I expected however the wings themselves were on the smaller and less meaty side than what I am accustomed to from Wing Stop, Wingnuts or Buffalo Wild Wings. I tried the hottest variety possible as well as garlic fries on my visit and although the wings were pretty good the fries left much to be desired. I am always sad to see these smaller non-chain restaurants go out of business, especially before I am able to give them a follow-up visit. I will continue to look for more places to satiate my never ending hunger for delicious hot wings. Sad to see you go but thanks for the memories.

The chicken wings aren’t the best quality, they lack chicken meat. Most of the wings I had was all chicken skin and battered. The sauce and seasoning for the wings are way too overpowering. But the prices are decent, if not on the cheaper side for the a la carte. I had the all you can eat today, but unfortunately the flavor that I picked, spicy bbq, was just too much for me to handle and I couldn’t even finish my first round of wings. My palette was shot from the extreme sourness of the sauce. My husband was happy with his choices, parmesan garlic and lemon pepper. We ordered garlic fries on the side, this was by far the best thing we ordered. Next time, ill try one of their sandwiches and stay away from the all you can eat, it was definitely not worth it for me – I would have to eat more than 26 wings for the prices to break even! The service and ambiance was great. It’s a good place to hang out with friends especially since that they are open late.

OBW has always been my OC rush spot for a wing fix. I can appreciate the whole holding true to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo approach which many just don’t seem to fathom. My favorite sauces hand down have to be the honey BBQ, garlic parmesan, and the normal with a kick(and even I don’t like kick).the chicken is a little small yes, but at least it does the trick and lets you leave with a loaded tummy! Also when you do go make sure to give their garlic fries a shot. They are awesome and definitely one of the better concoctions I have had. Then again not every restaurant can make GARLIC fries taste like GARLIC fries, right? Someday I will be back during the week and claim the thrown of their ultimate chicken wing champion(also try out some of their other items as they look pretty darn good as well)!

I’ve had this place once before back in San Francisco. What a nice surprise that the only socal location is here in Irvine! Parmesan Garlic — Packed with flavor, oily garlic sauce topped with lots of parmesan cheese. Original Buffalo — I always love the tangy taste of original buffalo wings slathered in greasy orange buffalo sauce. Both flavors were pretty good. I love that this place is open late, that’s definitely a quality college students look for!

In all honesty, I think this is my fave wing spot in orange county. Buffalo Wild Wings and WingStop are good, but I still think OBW is the best. I feel like they’re a lot cleaner and I like that they don’t have 20,000TV’s everywhere. They do have a couple of tv’s though, so it’s still a good place to go to when there’s basketball or football on. My fave sauces: 3. Teriyaki 2. Hawaiian Spicy 1. Spicy BBQ — alll time favorite. can’t go wrong with it Sometimes I’m mindblown by how much shizz is on their menu. I had their burgers once and it was pretty damn good. If you’re with friends, you should definitely share the garlic fries. They’re open late, deliver, have take out, friendly servers, and serve beer! All around great place :)

Did I ever tell you how much I love chicken wings? I think I can eat this stuff every day. I wrote a review for this place awhile ago, but I was a little biased just because I worked there. But I no longer work here, so here’s an HONEST review. Pros: — They’re open really late on weekends. If I remember correctly, they’re open till 3am Thurs-Sun? Other days, they’re open until 1. It’s still a lot later than WingStop, so this place is perfect for late night munchies. — They have some interesting flavors, like spicy bbq. — AYCE on Tuesday. It’s $ 13.99 per person Cons: — The wings are really tiny and even though there’s a variety of favors, it’s not the best quality. — Seating is limited because it’s a pretty small sized restaurant. For wings, I’d rather go to BWW or WingStop.

It wasn’t mind blowing but the food was tasty. I am from Buffalo and rarely enjoy Buffalo food outside of NY. But this place is pretty good. I got the nine-piece chicken wing meal but with boneless wings. The extra hot sauce was pretty darn spicy. It wasn’t loaded with butter like the original hot. It was a bit vinegary but still had a nice flavor. The boneless wings were swimming in sauce, which I like! The meal came with nine boneless wings, carrots/celery, fries and a soda for $ 9.50. Not bad at all! I liked the fries too. They were a medium thickness and reminded me of beach fries. The restaurant has servers if you dine in. The service was friendly, attentive and accurate. We were visiting with friends we hadn’t seen in awhile and no one seemed to mind that we sat around and chatted for another 20 minutes after we paid. It was pretty empty at around 8:30 on a Saturday. They only have a six or eight tables though. I think most of their business is for to-go food. Only thing keeping it from five stars is the weak blue cheese. It was watery and flavorless. They need to upgrade to something thicker! Oh and I loved the 90s R&B they had playing!

My beloved DJ plaza… oh how I love you so… When I’m planning on having dinner and I have no idea what I want to eat, I simply come here. So many places to eat, so little time! I get a little excited, I just can’t help it! Finally decided to try out Original Buffalo Wings. It was Monday so they had an awesome special for $ 19.99. 26pc wings, garlic fries, veggie tray and 2 drinks. Although that sounded like a ton of food for just me and my roommate, if you know me, I can never pass up a good deal! Opted to get a 13 – 13 split sauce. We tried the spicy bbq and the spicy original. Both were delicious! Their wings were fried perfectly. No breading, crispy skin, and sauced beautifully. No complaints here. The garlic fries on the other hand were just okay. They reminded me of In-N-Out fries. I know, I know, so some people are big fans of their fries, and some just aren’t. Well, I fall in the«aren’t» category. It’s just a little shriveled tasting to me. I’m more of a McDonald fries loving girl. Despite their yummy wings, their ranch and bleu cheese dressing were just very off. Have you ever had ranch dressing that had no flavor? Weird right? Well their ranch seriously tastes like white nothing. It didn’t give the wings that yummy zingy cool down that we all love about ranch. Ranch is such a hard thing to describe. I, for some reason, can’t find the right words for it. But whatever this was, it was not ranch. No worries though, that’s just less calorie intake for me, so I’m still a fan!

I like to compare this place to Wingstop. mainly cause I don’t know of any other wings restaurants in Irvine. Their prices are a little cheaper than Wingstop, and they offer a lot more choices on appetizers — mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, and the cheese chips with bacon. That last one is my boyfriend’s favorite. And it’s totally worth the heart attack. Wings-wise, I’ve tried: Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, and the Spicy BBQ. Their Lemon Pepper had an overpowering Lemon flavor. It was a way too lemon-y for my taste. Their Garlic Parmesan was pretty good, and the Spicy BBQ had the right amount of kick to it. The wings also come with a bunch of carrots and celery. so stay healthy! They have Happy Hour from 2pm-7pm: $ 3 dollar beers and cheaper appetizer prices. And they have an All You Can Eat deal on Tuesdays!

Mmm yumm! The girls here are great, always making sure if you need anything. I ordered the bucket(50 wings) to share with two other guys and ended up eating 10 wings, which by the way, the record for girls is around 80 wings(and for guys, 127?), and it would be fun to try that one day. I was wary about the lemon pepper flavor, but I actually really liked it. The honey BBQ and original spicy flavors were absolutely delicious. Of course, it doesn’t compare to the ORIGINAL wings from the East Coast, but it is pretty good for this area. I still haven’t tried Wingstop yet, but i heard I must try that soon! Sharing the bucket, or even larger sizes(75 or 100 wings) with friends is a great deal, and you get 3 flavors for the wings. Ooh, garlic fries… have WAY too much garlic to the point that it was spicy on the tongue. I would definitely come again when I’m feeling like eating wings.

Cheap wings but you get what you pay for. Dry small wings. Beer was reasonable and they had blue moon too. I tried the Lemon peter and it was good but the wings were soo small. DEFINITELY the Buffalo Wild Wings are much better. Even Love Letter’s Chicken wings are better! But they weren’t like super bad but for the price it’s cheap. The thing was that the workers were very chill and friendly but they had friends that came in and started eating and drinking with them too. Don’t know if they are allowed to do that… They brought in their own alcohol and drank there. Hopefully I don’t get anyone fried but that is just not professional. The restaurant is pretty small and not that great for big groups but if there is one, they can accommodate by pushing the tables together. Overall, I probably would rather spend my money somewhere else.

the place fills me up and is open late with super nice workers. but the wings themselves aren‘t anything amazing. I LOVETHEIRGARLICFRIES, THOUGH!!! make sure you substitute for garlic fries if you‘re ordering the fries+wings combo(: they do have tvs and serve alcohol so once the nba season starts up. i expect this place to get busier. oh, and they have all you can eat wings for $ 13.99 on tuesdays!

Tuesdays — AYCE for only $ 14!!! But be prepared for a long wait. The place is very small and when we got there around 7:10pm we didn’t get seated until about 8:30. My friend was trying to beat the record which is currently at 147 wings. Service– The staff is very friendly and nice, but they are forgetful of your orders. They forgot one of our drinks and my order. Wings — They were too dry. the garlic Parmesan was so salty that unfortunately, my friend had to stop. The place is so small it can get loud. Everyone there were the typical young college crowd. I’ll be back not to eat wings… but to watch my friend attempt to beat the record.

$ 14 all you can eat wings, many sauces to choose from, including ranch or blue cheese, all you can eat sides and a drink. On Tuesdays only. A great value! Their wings were OK. I’d give them maybe three stars overall. Some sauces were better than others and some batches of wings were smaller than others. I wasn’t impressed with their lemon pepper flavor at all. Their buffalo flavors were pretty good. Their habanero lime flavor is very good at first, but then the lime gets a little overpowering. In contrast, I would give the Buffalo Wild Wing wings five stars. The sides were definitely good. No gripes there. Overall, I’m definitely coming back.

My boyfriend and I came here last Friday after work. Original Buffalo Wings’ notable feature is their Tuesday ‘All You Can Eat Wings’ for $ 13.95. For our introductory Original Buffalo Wings meal, D and I each ordered a chicken sandwich(the Mexican Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Grilled Chicken Sandwich respectively). We also shared an order of Buffalo Fries. Food: Tasty, spicy and messy goodness. My chicken sandwich was served on a toasted bun topped with fresh green lettuce and large slices of red onion and tomato. The grilled chicken itself was tender and juicy. Eating this sandwich posed somewhat of a challenge: every bite had sauce dripping down my hands. Thank goodness for the complimentary roll of paper towels on our table! The Buffalo Fries — a heaping pile of hand cut golden French fries slathered in spicy sauce, cheese and chunks of grilled chicken — was hot and delicious. Service: Very attentive and friendly wait staff. Our server promptly brought out our drinks and food. She also checked on us several times during the course of our meal to ensure we had everything we needed. Notes: Late-night hours(open until 3 a.m.!). Diverse menu. Large portion sizes. Moderate prices. I think the most number of buffalo wings I could eat in a single sitting is… maybe 15? The current female record holder of the most buffalo wings consumed at the Irvine Original Buffalo Wings location is someone named J. Yoo. One fine Tuesday, she sat down and polished off 97 buffalo wings. Crazy!

My boy [we’ll call him the bear] and I had a late night last weekend. After waking up, being cranky, and finally realizing that we probably needed to be fed, I jumped onto Unilocal & started looking for something yummy. The bear said that buffalo wings sounded good to him, so I found Original Buffalo Wings and be were on our way. This place is tiny, but very clean, and the service was really nice. Our server greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, told us we could sit wherever we wanted, and quickly took our drink orders. $ 1.75 beers during happy hour was what started things off on a good note. Especially since they have Anchor Steam! We ordered our wings, I got a 6 piece mild, the bear got a 13 piece ½ spicy ½ bbq. Then we got an order of the bacon & cheese fries. The fries came out first, and this was no small plate of fries! I was shocked. And not only was it loaded with cheese & bacon, but the cheese was yumstastic nacho cheese sauce! Soon after our wings came out. This is where the disappointment started. Not that the sauce wasn’t yummy, it was the chicken that was the problem. Overcooked and dry. Such a bummer. Neither of us could finish our whole order, but I did finish most of the fries. I would give them another try though if I happened to be in the area. But not really something I would go out of my way to have again.

I’m kinda hooked on this place. The menu has much more than just wings. I like the appetizer platter with deep fried mushrooms, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and jalapeño poppers. I think the wings are pretty good, although small. The wings are drenched in sauce. The garlic fries are über garlicky. I love garlic but it was too much. The homemade chips are addicting. They’re so good. They have some decently priced specials. Check out the website for the menu and prices. The fish and chips are average, not bad but not mind-blowing. I’ve also tried the shrimp & mushroom teriyaki plate. It’s a pretty big order and it was good. They also have hot & cold sandwiches and a good selection of salads. They have a small handful of tables inside and one table outside. You can dine in or take out. The waitresses are kinda hot and are nice but dingy too. There’s a flat screen that shows games and the restaurant is pretty clean. One bad thing is that this place is located in the Diamond Jamboree Plaza, so parking is a headache.

Watching the Food Network makes you crave whatever you are watching, and the episode on fiery foods, like HOTWINGS, made me run over here to get some. Even though I’ve read the reviews on Unilocal,I still came here because it was really close by and I wasn’t in the mood to make conversation with girls in too small orange outfits and sometimes too much make-up. Since it was a late night snack, I ordered 6 pieces of buffalo wings to-go. I waited exceptionally long for 6 pieces of fried chicken tossed in Kamakaze hot wing sauce, and that was because there was only one person in the kitchen. Coming home to unveil the brown bag, I found that the buffalo wings didn’t hold any crispiness(even though I live less than 3 minutes away), and the celery sticks and carrot sticks had the texture of rubber and were fridge-burned. The Kamakaze, which had 5 pepper symbols next to it, wasn’t spicy. I had two wings and shared the rest as I became uninterested. So, I understand why Original Buffalo Wings is rated 3 stars. The buffalo wings, which they’re named after, isn’t exceptional, but very edible, and they’re great for a very late night snack since they’re open ’til 3am. I haven’t tried anything else on their varied menu, but if they can’t get what they’re named after to be a favorite, then I doubt they can prepare vegetarian, rice bowls, or sandwiches to be fruitful.

Decent but not the best of course. Tuesdays are AYCE(all you can eat) $ 15 with drink & side I think ? I didn’t do it. We just got the 50 piece bucket, mix & match whatever flavors, includes celery/carrots &2 sides. Garlic fries & Cole Slaw. Really good cole slaw there, can’t say much for anything else. Parking: Plaza, plenty of space but have to park further if there isn’t enough space. Price: Decent Service: Dependable, good. Atmosphere: Very small joint. Come with 2 to 5 people, anymore requires you to see if they have enough room or just wait. Saw mostly college kids there, or maybe its because I went on a Tuesday(ACYE day).
