We love the pizza here BUT… tonight it was so hot in there. It was like the AC wasn’t on. The Cleveland/Golden State game was on soupy would think it would be busy and temperature controlled. The regular floor to the right was cool but, the area down a few steps to the left was hotter than outside. I asked the manager to turn the AC on because it was just as hot as it was outside. She said the owner had the keys to adjust the temperature and she couldn’t do it. It surprised me that she was the manager however didn’t have the authority to adjust the temperature even though it was so hot inside.

Very dirty. Very smelly and musty. It really hits you when you walk in the door. Bad boring atmosphere. Very warm beer. Don’t know about the food. Didn’t stay long enough to find out. Need I say more?

I was on the way to a friends house and went to get spaghetti and was turned off that they microwave their spaghetti… my Lampost pizza in Huntington Beach has it freshly cooked. The pasta was like rubber gross.

Oh my gosh, we had the worst experience today! Cindy(I believe was her name), rolled her eyes at myself and a friend for ordering 12 ice creams for our team of kindergarten boys/girls, yelled seriously every 5 – 10 minutes at the kids for running(totally get the no running thing), playing with their toys and told that they were«not allowed to play until they got home» and various other things. She screamed and rolled her eyes saying things like«ughhh» «oh my G**». My 8 year old daughter who is as responsible as it gets said, «I never ever want to there again! If that lady is there can we just go to knowlwood?» I had to confront this woman and asked what her name was, it was that bad. WARNING: Blonde-ish petite younger lady — don’t dine in with kids! Weird, Lamppost has always been the go-to for after game hangouts. We will be dining at the Lamppost off Bryan next time.

This place is a complete dump. The old greyed hair misery is sarcastic and grumpy to his customers. They also do not accept credit cards if the payment is under 5 dollars. This is what the lady tells me when I give her my credit card: «You know it costs us more when we use a credit card that’s under 5 dollars» she gave me a horrible attitude and I had to get my friend to spot me a dollar. After that I asked the man for a water cup and he chucks it at me. DONOTCOMEHERE

Here is my experience from 2⁄27 1) Call to order meal at 7:20 pm. Girl who answer phone says«sorry we aren’t delivering» someone in the background says something to her and she says«sorry actually we are». No biggie. We order our food she takes my credit card info 2) Pizza shows up within the window of time quoted, yay! Delivery person does not have a pen and asks us to sign just a piece of paper, not a receipt… this was our fault we probably should have turned the food away? We thought maybe he just left the receipt in the car with the pen, we tip and pay as usual. 3) 9:40 pm, get a call from a cell number I don’t know. I don’t pick up. 4) 9:42 pm, get a call from another number I don’t know. I do pick up. Some guy saying they didn’t write down my credit card info and asks for it then… sounds like the guy who delivered the pizza? I am kind of caught off guard and give him my credit card information for the second time. 5) I feel uncomfortable about this and google the numbers who called me… super late on a Saturday which is also odd. Neither numbers are connected to Lampost. 6) Call the restaurant back and ask to speak with a manager. Manger tells me a few things: a. The girl taking your order forgot to write your CC info down. b. The girl wrote you info down then shredded it. c. We never got your card info. Everything he said contradicted his former statement. …at this point I am very uncomfortable and feeling like my CC info is just floating around somewhere and have yet to receive any type of apology for the confusion… 7) Still speaking with the manager, I request that my card information is not run until I speak with the owner the next day to clear up any confusion. The manager is nice and assures me repeatedly that my information has not been run and that I will indeed receive a call back from the owner tomorrow, 2⁄28. …Great, this is a weird situation but at least we can figure it out and I can let go the late calls/lack of professionalism etc… no biggie. 8) Check my bank today, 2⁄28. Card has been run for full amount. No biggie. I will talk with the owner and make sure everything is in order. 9) 6:45pm, no call from owner. I should call. Call Lampost, speak with manager. Does not apologize. Tells me the owner«didn’t show up today» and that when he was on the phone with me someone else ran the card.(Same manager form last night). 10) I ask him if anyone was going to call me today to tell me this information or tell me the owner would call me tomorrow. His exact answer: «The owner called today and asked me how everything was and I said there’s a note on your desk to call a customer regarding a credit card issue and he said ok»…absolutely did not answer my question. I am more than willing to be cooperative with any minor hiccups, however this is much more about the complete lack of professionalism and courtesy than it is anything else. Do business with this location at your own risk.

Pizza is good(kinda hard to not make good pizza, though), but service is weak. We ordered beers and I had to go request them several times because they were never delivered to our table. Additionally, not enough plates and utensils were brought by the employee with our food and the poor girl spilled half the salad on the ground. There are always Groupon deals, which is the only reason I ever come here(large pizza, 4 salads and 4 sodas). I’ve always been able to substitute the 4 sodas for 2 beers at the other Irvine location and it usually even says that’s allowed on the fine print. This one wouldn’t allow it. Stay away.

I came here a few weeks ago with my friend about an hour and a half before closing on a Sunday night. Upon arriving, the lady who served us was cold and un-friendly. She looked like she did not want to be doing her job and I could have sworn, she rolled her eyes a few times at us. However, we let that slide since its Sunday and we joked ‘maybe she just wants to be home’. We began to order our food and while ordering, she tells us what we ordered is too big for us and that we shouldn’t eat it. Her tone and the way she delivered her message was completely rude. We, once again, let that slide bc lets face it, not everyone wants to be working on a Sunday night. Then, our food came out. We ordered some spaghetti and pizzas. The pizza was all right but it took forever to come– and the spaghetti felt like it was microwaved since it was still cold in some parts and the pasta sauce was cold too. We ate our food, completely surprised that we actually paid for this and left kind of shocked because that was not the service we were expecting nor the food. We go to the Lamppost at the Culver Plaza, and I love it there. I don’t know if its the management or the employees, but I don’t think I will be coming here again.

Tasty pizza & beer. Yeah it’s NYE& I just want pizza & good beer. Even if they appear short staffed, the wait wasn’t to long. I’m not looking for foodie style pizza with delicate toppings, I want to get home on a happy tummy. That’s what $ 45 bucks for 3 heads will get ya’ Meet your buddies here to catch some sports, eat some good pizza, and drink a picture of beer; or have some Phở… Adiós MFer

Came here with my family tonight. We won’t be coming back. We ordered an appetizer combo plate as well as a large pizza, half linebacker, half whole nine yards. The appetizer came out with the pizza after a 30 minute wait. The appetizer combo included potato wedges, poppers, mozzarella stick and wings it wasn’t even hot and tasted like a freezer, not worth the money. The pizza was okay but northwood pizza is way better. My son said it’s like they ordered papa johns. I could taste the freezer even in the pizza. The whole reason we came was to try the new desert«igee» we waited 15 minutes for a dried up year old donut with hard sprinkle candies covering the entire thing(nowhere does it say there are sprinkles or I would’ve not ordered it). It was terrible. Not worth the wait or the money. Terrible terrible food. And long wait times. I’d advise against this place.

The food is p good, not great. Sometimes I just like to watch football not at home. Makes me feel accomplished or something. Everyone who works here is in high school it seems like, but they work hard so I can commend that. However, this place is a stern proponent for birth control. I’ve seen some horrendous behavior and parents are on break time so they don’t give a fu

For my daughters softball end of season party, we ended up at this Lamppost Pizza. It was like taking a step back into the late 80’s. The girls enjoyed themselves enough but for the most part the customer service lacked any feeling, they are obviously stuck in a mundane zombie like state here. The guy making the pizza was more into the TV than watching what he was doing. I ordered my daughter a mini pizza with four toppings and myself an avocado sammie(no cheese, added on mushrooms and olives). The total was $ 16. Which is about what I would spend at another local pizza spot that my daughter and I went to. They charge more for premium toppings and honestly, I think with the amount of new competition they may want to rethink? Or not, they’ve been around this long so maybe they are fine. My daughter enjoyed her pizza and my sammie was OK. It did take forever to come out, which was pretty odd to me. Not my top pick for pizza, but still a good pie.

Even though this is a 2 star review its ironic that I actually like their pizza. That said… A)Ordering takes forever and is inefficient. If there are 3 or 4 people ahead of you line… your looking 10 – 15 minutes before you will be placing your order. B) They used to give a 10% team discount. Ordered recently, inqured about said 10% discount and got a blank look and acted confused at this policy, which was store policy the previous 5 or 6 times I have been to this location. C) Prices are Very High. Pizza used to be a cheap alternative but at this place its not really that much of a better deal than going to other local restaurants. Family of 4 for pizza, salad & drinks came to over $ 50 bucks. Yeah, maybe Im a cheap bastahd but that would probably be close to what we would pay at BJs or some other restaurant that doesnt have bench seating. Once again, I like their pizza… but with each visit the other annoyances I mentioned become more glaring.

Pizza is great. The pepperoni is in cubed pieces rather than sliced. It was different but delicious. The hot wings are pretty large and you can get wing sauce on the side. I came for lunch at 2 and it was empty but it took about 25 minutes for a a slice of pizza and wings. I just thought that was kind of long since I just got a slice and not a whole pizza.

Update: smells way better in there lately! Upgraded to 4*, and a few tips… 1. The small, medium and large pizzas are pretty expensive, but they also do mini pizzas which are not! My husband and I will often get a couple to share, and they’re great, really tasty! 2. Beer is very cheap in here. Might be that I’m going to all the wrong places, but so far this is the only place I’ve found in Irvine where you can get a 60oz pitcher for around $ 15! 3. I love their wings. They’re baked, so not as bad for you, and they’re not excessively wet so not too messy. They only do bone-in, and they take a while to get cooked so make sure you get your order in asap! 4. Their garlic bread and jalapeño poppers are pretty disappointing, just lacking in flavour for my tastes at least.

Have to give 5 Stars. All the way. Remember being kids and walking to this place. And their pizza is still amazing after all these years, the gooey cheese, tangy sauce, and fresh toppings. The only thing that changed is that their staff is much prettier :) Forget Dominos or those other places: this is one of favorite Pizza places. They also have these«donut ice creams»; glazed donuts with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream inside! I didn’t try one: I actually like myself… but I’m sure they must be heavenly!

Lampost Pizza has been churning out greasy and forgettable pies for decades and I just don’t get how that is, the food is atrocious! If you lived in North Irvine for any amount of time, chances are good you stopped in Lampost Pizza at some point to grab a bite while watching a game. Located within a block of Woodbridge High School, they offer fast and relatively flavorless pizza for the masses in a somewhat fun, if not outdated environment. I should also note this may be the only place in Irvine you can actually order a pitcher of Beer, its only saving grace from 1 stardom. I last stopped in recently with some friends that wanted a casual place to watch Sunday Night Football. I was advocating nearby JT Schmidt’s but lost the argument thanks to The District’s asinine parking lot situation. We shared a Pitcher of Beer and a medium Cheese Pizza that came out to be a considerable $ 26.00. Yeah, you read that right. These guys are more expensive than Mozza. The cost would have been more understandable had the Pie warranted it, but it really didn’t. Run of the mill bland crust is met with Ketchup-like tasting sauce and a nefarious coagulated/greasy Cheese. In a word this Pizza sucked. I would probably keep Lampost Pizza in mind as a «drinking only» kind of establishment as the food is terrible and downright overpriced. Meh inducing and I can’t stand the term«Meh».

Liz: «You’re not really bugged we’re moving here, are you?» Luke: «Does he even know what escrow means?» Liz: «I doubt it, but he’s so happy.» -«Gilmore Girls,» Season 5: Episode 8 ************************************ Last Friday evening, my husband and I ate at Lamppost Pizza to celebrate the close of escrow. Nothing says«I love being a new homeowner» quite like pizza. We ordered a ‘create your own’ medium pizza and added a bunch of toppings including pepperoni, ham, mushroom, onion and jalapeño. We also ordered two side salads with Italian dressing because we didn’t think we ordered enough food for the two of us(we actually ordered enough food for 3 – 4 people). In the past year, we’ve become used to eating super thin-crust slices at artisan-style pizza places such as Mod Pizza, so our taste buds had forgotten what traditional deep-dish pizza tastes like. And just so you know, Lamppost’s pizza tastes delicious: if you are looking for award-winning, fresh out of the oven pizza with high-quality dough and ingredients, then you’ve come to the right place. Service is friendly and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant could use some sprucing up. Their local IPA beer is great(says my husband). Pricey if you go nuts on the toppings(like we definitely did), but we got 15% off our order and their website offers special deals if you’re looking to save. Plenty of TVs playing your favorite sporting events. We look forward to being regulars at our new neighborhood family pizza joint!

Extremely disappointed with their delivery service. I ordered a pizza which I was told would be a 40 minute wait time. An hour later, still no pizza. I called them and asked to check on my order. They told me that they got busy and the driver was just leaving with my pizza. 20 minutes have gone by since then and still no pizza is here. Considering I live 5 minutes from their store it’s extremely frustrating they told me the driver was on his way 20 minutes ago. We have now been waiting an hour and 20 minutes(and counting…) for this order. Definitely not worth the $ 30 pizza. This will be the last time we order from them, I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on!
