I thought they had ironed out all their kinks; turns out I was wrong. On Sunday I submitted an order online and was told they didn’t have enough supplies on hand to fill my order. Ok, that was fine. I asked to be refunded since I had submitted payment online. I was assured that no payment would be charged and I would be completely refunded. The PayPal transaction was, however, still showing up as pending. I checked my account three days later and the transaction had not been cancelled but in fact had gone through and the money was withdrawn from my account. I am incredibly disappointed with this– I called in yesterday to see if we could get this fixed and sent a couple of emails with no response (sent at 3pm yesterday and no response as of yet.)
Will not buy again– ippo took my money without providing any product and didn’t refund me or provide me with store credit. Incredibly unprofessional.

Pros: Sushi delivery is an amazing idea. Ippo delivered well within the promised 45-​min delivery window and saved me the trouble of interrupting my Netflix marathon to go get dinner.
Cons: Overall quality was meh. Chicken bowl was bland (I thought it would be a teriyaki chicken bowl, but there was no sauce — I guess it’s healthier that way?) with overcooked veggies and old rice. Spicy tuna was okay. Oishi Roll was pretty tasty and the sole reason this review gets 3 stars instead of 2.
Summary: Just get in your car and go to your tried and true fav sushi joint.

I remember liking Ippo sushi 3 years ago. Now, the sushi seems like it came in a smaller portion, and the delivery is so slow. Online, it says they deliver usually in 40 minutes, but can take an hour if on a busy night. My food took about 1.5 hours. When the delivery guy handed me the bag, he did it rudely and the boxes that contained my food were all tipped over vertically in the bag. If he didn’t just throw it into his car, then he must’ve been swinging it around on the way to my door or something.
Their beef bowl was said to have 50% more beef now. If what I got was 50% more, then I wonder how the original used to be. Overall, the quality of their food still tastes good to me. But it just seems like they’re overpriced now for smaller portions and worse service.

Although the order update system should be checked out and the Tempura Shrimp roll wasn’t well prepared, the other rolls were excellent.
I would recommend the Island Roll as it is a combo of different and delicious.

Just ate 2 rolls from this place that I ordered at 12:55am on a Sunday night… got it within an hour and it was very tasty. Delivery dude was really cool and brought it straight to my door. I gotta say, being able to chill at home drinking a beer and lounging watching tv at night while eating awesome sushi is BAD ASS!!! Definitely will be ordering from here again in the near future.

Ok, this place takes forever to deliver. usually me and my boyfriend wait an hour to receive our food, but we always get compensation for our wait, like a free roll, and the effort is appreciated. this place is kind of like a last resort place for late night cravings but the rolls aren’t bad. I like the crunch and baked salmon roll. I believe the beef bowls are microwaved meals but they’re decent.

My new fave late night delivery! Order was taken quickly and ETA of one hour given but the driver arrived promptly just 30 minutes later I had rolls and spam musubi from a courteous kind delivery guy. I tipped $ 5 because he was super fast, and the appetizers hit the spot. Would definitely order again and recommend Ippo Sushi delivery for rolls and their spam musubi.

Literally would give zero stars if I could. WORST, WORST, WORST, sushi and delivery ever. The delivery took more than 45 minutes and the guy who dropped off my food was beyond rude. Regret giving him any tip. As for the sushi, paid $ 14 for about 6 VERY small pieces of sushi. Would not recommend to ANYONE. If you go to UC Irvine, opt for Del Sushi instead.

Ordered based on a flyer stuck to my apartment door. Website was fairly easy but didn’t give an estimate for delivery. After an hour and a half I called to check on the status, guy said delivery boy left 10 minutes ago. 45 minutes later he showed up, seemed rather unapologetic that it took over two hours. Said if they’re backed up it happens… Beef bowl with veggies was good, smaller than I expected but good meat and good rice. CA roll was decent but the spicy tuna roll was not good at all. Would only order again if other options were not available.

The rice was hard, the fish wasn’t fresh, the rolls look butchered up, there was only a very tiny portion of wasabi for two rolls (it’s smaller than my thumb and I have small fingers/​hands), and it took an hour to arrive. I usually don’t mind waiting a while for food, but this food quality was definitely not worth the wait. Although, the cucumbers inside were very fresh, at least in comparison to everything else, which is why I’m giving it two stars, not only one.

Terrence the manager is a fine manager. Ippo left a bad taste in my mouth at first but the manager took charge and made it up to me.
When an ownership takes charge and puts customer priority first, this is truely a fine establishment.
Ippo definitely needs to be advertised more.

Updating my review to reflect the new management Ippo Sushi is under.
Service is MUCH better than under the old management, the rolls taste better, delivery is much faster and most importantly, my orders are made how I specify (no cucumber, ginger or wasabi). Dramatic improvement over my last 3 orders with them and definitely sheds a lot of light on their commitment to improving their reputation as a late night sushi delivery service. After seeing these improvements, Ippo Sushi will definitely be my go to for late night cravings!

more like a 3.5÷5 stars. I was working late at my office, and luckily i remembered this place delivers sushi from like a 3 mile radius of UCI.
First and foremost, its free delivery with a Minimum Order of $ 15. So that’s good. none of that bull shit 2.50 $ delivery charge that most pizza places charge.
So we ended up getting the chicken bowl, baked salmon roll and the philly roll.
