Del is my go to place for takeout sushi. I have never had a bad order! They are very fast, and extremely friendly. We always order a spicy cali, a spicy tuna and a baked lobster roll! The rolls are good sized, and definitely fill you up!

Delivery review only: tldr; fast delivery time and decent sushi. 3 stars seem too weak but 4 stars seem too high. I was expecting to eat a sushi burrito so when things did not work out and I had been thinking of sushi all week, I had to think of alternatives for sushi for a lazy night in. A quick Unilocaler’s check of sushi delivery options shows a wide variety of horrible options. No thanks! But last minute, my research led here and my friend and I figured why not? The online order option is quick, and it should only get quicker once you have an account. It’s especially helpful for use by grad students living in the UCI campus housing, since it helps specify to the deliverer how to get to our places, which are subunits that make the whole world of delivery complicated. We got: DELSUSHISPECIALROLL EDAMAME SHRIMPCRUNCHROLL SPICYSCALLOPROLL DOUBLEDOUBLEROLL The spicy scallop roll was extremely unfresh and I have a feeling the sriracha and spice are meant to mask it. Frequent scallop eaters see — and taste — straight through it. The double double, which I neglected to examine for ingredients, was pretty much a massive salmon roll– inside and outside are all salmon. Even though I love salmon(especially when it is paired with avocado), it was not what I expected in a roll… otherwise I would have gone for sashimi or sushi instead. Still, if that’s your thing, go for it! The others, however, are good enough to compensate for the bad. The delsushi special roll was especially good, although it had a random meatball on top which I kept eating separately because the taste didn’t go well with the fish. Delivery only took about 20 – 30 minutes and came straight to our door. Any worries about sushi sitting out during delivery can go out the door as I guarantee its freshness and crunch!

Open till 1am and delivery till that time as well! No where to really sit to eat but you can eat outside around the utc area. Gave it 4 stars cause good rolls, good variety, but lacks the last star cause no where to eat inside and the wait time is quite long. However it’s convenient for college students who want to eat some late night quality Japanese food that’s right across UC Irvine!

Love this place!!! I call and order for pick up! Generous portion of fish and the service is amazing! One of my favorite, quick, affordable delicious spots for my sushi fix

I loved that they offer free delivery! This was basically most of what I ate last year when I was too lazy to go to the dining halls to eat, so there’s also the convenience factor as well. Sushi is not that bad either, and usually delivery is faster than I expected. I usually get the Jessica Roll because I’m a huge fan of sashimi and tempura and sometimes the Philadelphia Roll or the Caterpillar Roll. The baked rolls are pretty good too, but only if you’re looking for something to fill you up a lot. Overall, decent service, good sushi.

The owner is so kind and nice! I used to go here several times my first year of college last year, and from what I recall, the owner’s persona is so caring. I had a to-go order yet I was very thirsty, so I asked or water for me and my buddies and she gave us a jug(since we were eating Cha outside and one person ordered sushi). Thanks! The quality of sushi, in my opinion, is average, though. But, then again, it’s not exactly«fine dining» or a «sit down restaurant.» For a «to-go» restaurant, it’s pretty tasty and filling! Prices are similar to other sushi shops(maybe a bit cheaper), and they also have snacks on the cabinets. I remember I was so desperate and hungry after working out at 24 hour fitness last year that I bought instant noodles here, and she was more than glad to lend me some hot water so I can eat right away. Anyway, let me continue with the sushi(I went on a tangent. sorry). Sushi’s good for the style of the store! Since they open until 2AM and deliver, it’s a decent place to grab sushi as a college student.

While I have heard of delsushi when I was still a student in San Diego, I never got a chance to try it out. My friend was hungry and looking for a snack before the NYE party that we are attending, so we stopped by delsushi really quick to get a roll. He ended up ordering a baked scallop roll for $ 9.99, and it was bomb! They weren’t too busy, so it came out in less than 10 minutes, the scallops were plentiful, and my friend was surprised it was so cheap. They also deliver, so we need to see how much the fee is.

I feel really bad about this review but it has to be said, the sushi is just okay. The people that work here are so nice and that is why it kills me to say it, but I just couldn’t finish what I ordered. I got some of their very popular specialty rolls and they were just so full of stuff, like mega saucy and mayonnaise-y. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t like sickening or anything but it just isn’t like«real» sushi, it is like a super Americanized kind of sushi.

delsushi should be your absolute last resort to satisfy your sushi addiction, especially at odd hours, but other than that, avoid at all cost. i got the western roll and honestly, i was blown away by the presentation, but once i bit into the first piece i was less than underwhelemed. the sushi rice itself was gooey, reminded me of glutinous rice. the rice seemed to have mushed into rice paste. the fish itself didn’t taste fresh. but 12 hours later i’m still standing, so it should be ok. i spent $ 13 on sushi that i didn’t like, and it was very disappointing.

I love this place! It’s perfect for late night sushi cravings or general hunger. I recommend their Philadelphia or California rolls!

Ordered a del special baked roll and a baked lobster roll. The service is fast and the rolls looked good. Unfortunately the quality of the fish was very disappointing. I wasn’t expecting much but for 12 dollar rolls it tasted extremely fishy to the point where I was slightly grossed out.

I wanted desserts at snow monster but I needed some food before I eat icy cold stuff. Del sushi is right across from it. I did not think it would be that good since this place is a take out only and not dine in. I ordered lobster roll and California roll. The lobster roll’s sauce was actually higher than my expectations. It is better than the sushi at Supermarkets since they make it fresh. The California had 8 pieces and so fulfilling since it has so much rice to it. This place is great for college students, worth the money for its pricing.

I usually go here at night when I’m craving sushi. It is located inside UTC which is close to where I live. The sushi is alright. I don’t think anyone eat delsushi until night time doe. Since it is open till 2am, a lot of people order for delivery around midnight. So I recommend to order online and go pick it up. I asked for a delivery last time and it took an hour for me to get my food. I pretty much got everything on the menu by now. My favorite would be the baked salmon roll($ 9.99). Give it a try if you can’t decide what to get.

Very cute little place. I got a salmon roll as a light dinner after trying Snow Monster for the first time tonight. The place was very organized with lots of different goodies. I was just here for some sushi. The cashier lady was very nice and friendly. Very good service. My roll was ready in a few short minutes. My roll was super yummy. It had nice big chunks of fatty salmon and creamy avocado in it, all surrounded in seaweed and sticky rice that didn’t fall apart. It also came with convenient packs of wasabi, ginger and low sodium soy sauce, my fav. An awesome place for good to go sushi.

Purchased: Baked Lobster Roll($ 12.95 including tax) 9⁄10 — Came out piping hot !(muy bueno) — The«lobster» looked like mini prawns/craw fish… but nonetheless really tasty(: — The baked sauce was amazing but a bit overwhelmingly creamy for my taste. Still loved it though. Customer Service(10⁄10): The lady in the shop was super sweet. She greeted my boyfriend and I when we came in and offered us a menu. After getting our takeout we sat outside the shop to eat and she came out to offer us cups of water. So kind(‘: Definitely coming back when I’m in the area.(((:

If you want quick and cheap sushi and you’re in the area, this place isn’t half bad. The dangerous thing? They have free delivery. Not only do they sell sushi, but they have a lot of «instant» foods that I used to rely on while I was an undergrad. Oh, and not everything has a California roll filling, which is always a plus.

Don’t over look this place because it looks like a little Asian grocery store! It’s really reasonably priced for bomb sushi! Had the Jessica roll!(Tuna & avocado on top with shrimp tempura California roll on the inside with teriyaki sauce over it all) My sister had the dynamite roll(eel roll basically) My mom had the scallop roll! The rolls are HUGE and will easily fill you up! It’s also open late nights to cater to college students! If you are ever craving sushi on a random late night DEFCHECKTHISPLACEOUT(: So glad I found this place!

I really like Del Sushi. It’s affordable, it’s convenient, and they deliver(as long as you’re within their delivery radius, which you can check online). Another great thing about Del Sushi are their hours. As a college student, this is a blessing especially when you’re up all night and you don’t want to get up to drive or walk to the University Center to pick up or order some rolls. One thing you should prepare yourself for is that the sushi served here isn’t going to be amazing. Lower your expectations. You get value and you get what you pay for & you’ll be stuffed and happy nonetheless, but it’s not going to be a five-star top-of-the-notch are you sure these fish are still taste like they’re dead kind of sushi BUT it does the job and it’s pretty good for what you pay for. Also, they pack it with the fillings and the presentation for delivery sushi is pretty nice too. It’s super organized. Your sushi is in the bigger portion section and the smaller section is for your sauces! The sauces are given to you in little packets and you also are given wasabi, ginger, and chopsticks! I’ve never picked up or ordered sushi at their actual location in the University Center, but I have passed by quite a few times and it looks really clean and spacious. From the outside looking in, they also have snacks for purchase as well. & Since it’s in the UTC, there’s seats and tables outside as well. Delivery usually doesn’t take too long, but there have been times when they have taken a little longer than preferable(longer than thirty minutes) to deliver da noms BUT it is understandable especially during midterms or finals weeks. Overall, I really like DelSushi. It’s affordable, it tastes good, and they deliver. They’re feeding my two loves: being lazy and eating!(Half-Joking)! SIDENOTE: I prefer DelSushi to Ippo Sushi(but haven’t ordered that since my first year…), but just so you know they do have other options at Ippo for entrees like beef and chicken bowls & the prices are different, so maybe I’ll give them a try one of these days again.

Honestly, really convenient and perfectly satisfying for sushi craving nights, especially since they deliver. The pieces are worth the rolls. Yesterday I got the spicy tuna roll for 5.99. The rolls are freaking huge and fat. the spicy tuna was good and overall it satisfies your craving. I’d just complain about the rice they use, you can tell is not sushi rice but just the regular rice. Overall, the rolls seem fresh and good. There’s a nice front register lady who takes your order.

Wowsers, to say the least! DelSushi had been open a whole year before I had decided to make my way in. Being stupid as I was, I thought they only delivered(like Ippo Sushi had done previously) with the $ 15 minimum. But no! Walk ins are also welcome! My friends had given me a $ 10 gift certificate to Del Sushi 10 months ago, and it took until now for me to redeem it. I went in with my friends and had the Jessica Roll and the Rainbow Roll. Both were amazing and delicious! The Jessica Roll has delicious shrimp tempura, crab meat and avocado, and on the outside, they have raw salmon, tuna! They also have avocado. They have a wee bit too much rice(like all their rolls) but they are HUGE and made when you order it! The fish is also fresh too! The rainbow roll– You love sashimi? THISISFORYOU! They have the crab meat and avocado on the inside, and on the top layer, they have tuna, salmon, albacore, shrimp, and avocado! They have that all layered so you can slowly eat each fish one by one by one! UGHSOAMAZING. Must try if you love raw fish! Spicy tuna– not really that impressed with it. Cheap though. So if you ever have the time and you’re close to UCI, come and try delsushi! The 1 star off is for the price. It’s kinda pricey D:
