To start no Wifi as said in the window. Guy at from by says to many people on it. Lol. More like no WIFI.(but I understand– prolly provider) waiting here and there are empty tables. I went to wash hands and no soap. I told first employee and he got someone to fill within 1 minute. That’s the start of my trip here. But… It is really busy and its Saturday.

Very slow with very little numbers of customers in the restaurant. Really a poor service showing for IHOP. Food was good but real long wait.

Food was amazing as ever, but disappointed with service this time. After my server brought out my food she also dropped my check on the table too. I told her I would be awhile. Now I’m looking for someone to help me get more iced tea and jelly. Another server nodded to me as if to help, but didn’t happen. When they put the bill on the table right away, I feel like they are no longer going to serve me if I need something. In all honesty, it’s quite rude if I am not finished. I have a hard time giving a tip at all when this happens. So if you didn’t get a tip, this might be why. Stop writing people off when they aren’t finished. Still waiting for a tea refill. I’ll mention it to the manager. Unfortunate, we have had awesome servers here before just not the last few times we have come in. So be prepared… its hit or miss on service.

Came here for breakfast with my father for the first time after moving to SoCal. The waiter that helped us out was very well mannered and always checked up on our table whenever we needed something. Overall the service at this IHOP was fantastic! While the food that was served here was something that could be easily made at home.

I am sitting here writing this review and in shock. I opted for a simple hash brown and eggs breakfast and asked for a big steak omelette as well(I don’t get full with just a simple breakfast). When the waitress took my order she looked and me and almost screamed«REALLY???» Yes RLLY. Don’t question my order. She went on to add it was a big omelette but the tone she used was awfully rude!!! Ive had waiters tell me in way kinder manner that the portions on plates are big. Never coming to this IHOP again. On the other hand, the pancakes are all you can eat!

Service was OK, food took to long to come and it was cold when it get to our table. Then the server disappeared for a while, so I couldn’t even bring it to his attention. When he did finally come around he said he can have it reheated, then proceeded to pick up my plate while putting his thumb in my hashbrowns. :/ Needless to say, I didnt eat the rest of my hashbrowns. The server was nice guy but the food was subpar at best. Plus the prices are 30% to 40% higher than most IHOP franchises. Not sure if this price hike has to do with ownership or simply because it’s located across the street from the airport. Either way, not eating here again.

Overpriced for the quality of the food. The eggs were undercooked and tasted like butter. The pancakes were decent but nothing amaZing. Service is slow

55+ senior alert! In the 55+ menu section, for $ 9.29, you ONLY get a cheese omelette and 2 pancakes. Any additional sausage, tomato or mushrooms is $ 1.29ADDITIONAL each. So, a tomato and sausage omelette will cost about $ 12.00. That is NOT senior special. You may as well get an egg and steak for $ 14.00. You know, Medicare starts at 65. Food is better than Mac, to be fair.

Service was pretty decent. Coffee was burned-y like any other diner. Eggs weren’t as hot as they should’ve been, but the hash browns were as good as we can expect. Pancakes are pancakes. Some do it better than others; IHOP does fairly above average. Eh. It’s another IHOP.

I hate this place. It was my first time at an iHop and I will never return! Too bad I couldn’t give it 0 stars. The food here is cold, it seems as if they leave it out for hours and then serve it and the staff are very rude and unfriendly and they ignore you when you ask to bring you water, butter, etc. Tsk tsk very disappointed. Try harder next time

Nothing fancy just good food. Waffles are basic with whole wheat offered. Eggs cooked to perfection.

Came for breakfast and left very un satisfied. After the lady took our order she never came back it was like 3 different guy’s! The food was not how we had ordered it and when we asked the gentleman(Gustavo) politely that the eggs were too over cooked he made a ugly face turned around and took them back. Food was cold, hash browns over cooked, ham cold undercooked, eggs burned! Pancakes were also burned and cold overall bad breakfast experience. They also need to better there customer service! Being right across from John Wayne you would think they would have better attentive service. I kept having to get up and ask for what we needed! Hands down worse I-Hop I have ever been too! Save yourself and go elsewhere!

Not sure why so many haters for this place. I dropped by into this location for the first time for their famous rooty tooty fresh and fruity pancakes. Their pancakes are a bed of fluffiness. I normally get it with their blueberry spread which makes a good marriage. Shout out to Cristina who provided excellent service and a warm and hospitable attitude. I think I’ll start coming here over the university location which wasn’t as warming.

A few negative things. Came here twice, I didn’t think the service and food could possibly be so terrible the second time, because the first time was an absolute disaster. We ordered the blue cheese burger med done and pancakes. The burger was dry, thinly cut, and too small for the bun… reminded me of my childhood kids meals cheeseburger from McDonalds. So to compensate for the size they simply tore the patty into a «Pacman» shaped patty so most of it would reach the edges of the bun. Yes. They did that. Unbelievable. Plus the party was over cooked and dry, they said«we hve regulations on how well we must cooked our burger patties. So apparently the rest of the worlds restaurants are in violation. Ordered a new burger, was a little better, guess I got a ‘real’ burger patty, but it was still over cooked n dry. Pancakes were dry and cold… International House of Pancakes. Yes Pancakes! The service. Oh dear. the service, our waiter wasn’t only the a waiter, he wore many hats. We saw him bussing, supplying, pushing carts, cleaning, in fact he wasn’t even dressed like a waiter. We had to flag him down several times, he was simply too busy to help us. Plus he appeared annoyed at his waiting duties. Bizarre. I know. So that was the first time we went. Went there again the next day, we thought«ok maybe they were just having a bad day» I mean there is no way things could be that bad again. Gave it another shot in other words. Wow same story but worse. The pancakes were hard n cold, omelet was cold, and of course my burger was dry AND cold, and our waiter was too busy to help us. I grew up in the area, and I always remembered IHOP as being a great place for a family lunch after church. I noticed the ratings for IHOP in this region is quite bad… What happened guys?

i’m not sure why i even have ANY sort of expectations for ihop… but i did, because the location in tustin probably sets a high bar for other locations. with that said, let’s get down to why i would never visit this ihop ever again: this ihop is beyond run down. yeah, i get that it’s located right next to the airport and all, but seriously? the interior looks like it hasn’t been updated in centuries, let alone decades. everything just looked old and run down. service was lackluster. we got the bill as SOON as we got our food. mind you the check came with a side of «take your time, i’m going to leave this here» but still, seriously? there’s NOONE in the restaurant, there’s no need to proactively leave the check before we request it. after my ever-so-looking-forward-to chocolate pancakes were served i was forced to dine with 2 micro-flies hovering around my food… and to top it all off i ordered a small milk and was charged regular. with all that said, i won’t be coming back. ever. again. not to say that i’ll be banning ihop but i’ll be driving the extra miles for the location in tustin.

I usually look at 2 things when I visit chain restaurants: First– service, second — the food quality. I had very decent sunday brunch here. I always stick to the same things which are the following: 1. A cup of coffee(nothing special) 2. Spinach mushroom omelette: i ask for no onion, no hollandaise sauce and with real eggs. Side of hash-brown. This dish was really good 3. Tuscan Scrambles with red potatoes: this comes with bell pepper, onion, and basil, also with real egg. Side of 2 pancakes. We were kind of disappointed, because there was very little egg and too much basil. For this location, there are plenty parking spots. We’ve got seated nearby drink prep area/dish rack and all we heard was servers throwing the dishes around. It was loud and made our experience very uncomfortable.

I came here with my co-worker for lunch on International Pancake Day, where they were giving out 1 free stack of pancakes per customer. Food here is alright, nothing special. Everything here can be made at home, so you’re pretty much just paying for convenience. Service was great, as our server was extremely nice and we got seated very quickly.

First time here at this IHOP(located conveniently across from John Wayne Airport). I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews — I was a bit hesitant to dine here, but left pleasantly surprised. I came here on a Sunday morning around 10:30pm. I was in a party of 3. The wait was about 10 minutes. Our server was friendly and attentive. Two of us ordered coffee along with our breakfasts. Our bill came out to about $ 52 for an order of chicken fried steak and two orders of omlettes. Just like at Denny’s, you pay at the front cash register before leaving. Parking is ample.
