Chim-Chim Cheree

I had a very good experience with Chim Chim Cheree Chimney Sweep. They came to clean my chimney recently and i was impressed by how clean it was in the end. I had a couple years of build up and a large amount of debris come down. The technician did an incredible job keeping it under control.
They were on time, polite, knowledgeable, and taught me many things i never knew about my fireplace and safety. He didn’t try and sell me anything extra and charged me exactly what the office told me when i made my appointment. The hard working technician, poor guy, was covered in soot, but left my house and area around the fireplace immaculate. I will use this company for many years to come and would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a cleaning or has any safety concern with their gas or wood burning fireplace. These are the people you want.

I paid $ 160 for a spark arrestor or chimney cap that was never put on. After several calls and attempts to get it done, the owner stopped returning my calls. I am mailing her a letter and will be filing a complaint with the BBB. Looks elsewhere for chimney service.

This company is GREAT! I had my chimneys cleaned and purchased 2 gas log sets a couple of years ago. I had forgotten who I had done business with so called a couple of other places first. They either didn’t call back or called days later. I got straight through to Chim Chim Cheree. They actually had me in their records, knew exactly what I had and was able to fix a problem with my fire starter remote control. They are not just for sweeping, I’m glad they installed my fire logs! Highly recommend!

Be wary. I got an estimate based on my Unilocalers postings. The estimate came in reasonable and before I decided to have the work done, I checked their status with the Chimney Safety Institute of America, since they claimed to be certified. They’re not and when I asked for an explanation, the emails completely stopped. I went with someone else who really is certified.

This company helped us fix our gas fireplace and clean our dryer vents as part of a home inspection when we sold our house. The rep arrived on time and worked very fast — he cleaned the chimney and gas logs, fixed the seal around the supply line, installed a clamp on the damper, and cleaned the dryer vents in about an hour. Forgot and left his cleaning gloves by accident on our driveway, but not a big deal. I found the experience to be very positive, and I would use them again no problem.

Either Unilocalers don’t have fireplaces or they aren’t getting their fireplaces cleaned as often as they should be. Why else is there only one 4 year old review for one of the best chimney sweep companies in OC?!?
If you have a fireplace that gets a lot of use in the cold months (that would be 60 degree weather here in SoCal), then you must get it cleaned every year. No joke. You only want that fireplace to burn the wood in it, not the whole house.
Both of my chimneys needed a serious clean and our chimney technician from Chim Chim Cheree did a fantastic job with both. He thoroughly cleaned both chimneys, cleaned our ceramic logs, and even re-​stacked them to help prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Who knew how you stacked your fake or real logs could make a serious health difference? Not me.
$ 260 bucks for two fireplaces and I now feel safe enough to light a few fires in this bone-​chilling SoCal weather. And, for some weird reason, I also feel compelled to add Mary Poppins to my Netfilix queue.

We love fires! We have them almost every night from November to April. And since we use real firewood, we get our chimney swept every year. I called a new company this year that was trying to get our business only to have them cancel 5 minutes AFTER the appointment time. Today I called this company and they had a super nice guy out to my house the same day.
He was very professional and clean. He did a great job and didn’t try and sell us a bunch of stuff.
