Pretty much anything with bacon in the name is bound to be successful. Bacon Mania’s dedication to excellent taste is what gives them long lines and a successful stance in the gourmet food truck industry. But more than just delicious food, this is a wonderful company worthy of the locals support. I was employed on Bacon Mania for a few months, and always look back on my time there with great appreciation. I know first hand that the owner takes pride in the food he serves, only using the freshest ingredients and sticking to the recipes that people love. The quality of food speaks for itself. Jay was a great boss, who taught me so much about the food industry. As a paralegal, I had no experience in cooking but he gave me a chance, and a job, at a time when I needed it most. I only have the highest regards for Bacon Mania and highly suggest anyone try it out if the classic red truck comes strolling through your neighborhood. If you want to support a great company, and indulge in delicious bacon cuisine, try Bacon Mania! I promise you will not regret it.

Updating review to one star for snotty ass owner comments on my review and other less than glowing reviews. Like it or not, your customers can give you direct feedback via this forum. Customer service doesn’t start and end at your truck. You could use feedback to your advantage, or choose to react like a brat. You’ve obviously chosen the latter.

Let me start by saying this rating is not based on their food, simply on their service or lack thereof. We were at a very cool brewery in Upland where the Bacon Mania truck was booked for today at 12 noon. Obviously a lot of the locals were anxious as the crowd showed up at noon ready to order, but no truck. The fun and friendly guys working the bar at the brewery said they had booked the truck, confirmed the night before and yes the truck would be there. An hour after they were suppose to show up, the guys announced that the had heard from the truck and they would not be showing up for service. Wow, if I ran my business like this I wouldn’t have any and maybe that is what needs to happen to Bacon Mania. You guys lost out on a lot of business. Kudos to the businesses around the brewery that deliver food, fast and prompt. I wouldn’t blame businesses for not booking Bacon Mania, promoting them for a no show. What an utter lack of respect for other businesses and clients anxious to try your food. Treating businesses and customers with this lack of professionalism, tells me I don’t care how good your food may be, I will never give you business, and I’m sure you don’t care.

This is probably the first of many reviews to come, after going close to 3 years accident free at our company, we were all excited to get a bacon mania truck to feed us all, and guess what they left a message saying they could not show up, hours before they were to show up, WOW really could not talk to our boss that pre paid a month in advance, regardless if the food is good, think twice about hiring them for your special event, we are now eating pizza from sports pizza in lake elsinore that never has let us down, thanks any way boss the though was there… Art G

Seriously Baconmania? You burn the bread on my grilled cheese and just flip it inside out like I wouldn’t notice? See photos. You guys used to be a standard go-to place for me on Truck Squad Best Buy Friday nights. $ 10 bucks for a sandwich I couldn’t even eat. Quality has seriously dropped off. Never again.

They came to our office for food trucks. Recommend by a coworker. Had the Mac fries. Awesome!!! A must have!

My husband ordered the Jack Black sandwich and the mac n’ cheese w/bacon. The Jack Black was okay. Unfortunately, the cheese on the exterior of the bread was pretty burnt so the burnt taste overpowered every bite I took of the sandwich. Our sandwich definitely looked a lot darker than the photos shown. The mac n/cheese was pretty good. Not mind-blowing, but tasty. I guess when you put bacon in anything, it’ll taste good. Overall, I’d say the food was okay. It did for the night. Maybe I’ll have to try something else next time.

Had their breakfast egg quesadilla: scrambled egg, bacon, melty cheese, and chipotle mayo on the side. Pretty good portion, ingredients were in proportion to each other without any one thing taking over. It was tasty and melty and rich with a crispy grilled tortilla; everything you’d expect in a breakfast quesadilla. In a nutshell, the food was executed well, but nothing particularly extraordinary. Staff was friendly but I rather wish he had a little more old-fashioned customer service courtesy. Not that he was rude or anything, but I don’t care to be called Sweetie by a man I’ve known for ten seconds. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned.

I’ve never been more excited to write a review. If I could marry this bacon truck, I would strongly consider it. This beautiful truck was in the vicinity of my place of work yesterday, so a few of my coworkers and I decided to go check it out. Read: we got the email that it was coming on Monday and created a calendar invite BECAUSEBACONISEVERYTHING. Not only was the staff so friendly(ALWAYS a positive) but the food… Oh my god. I am from North Carolina so I am VERY picky about my bacon and fatty food and this reminded me of home. The BLAT is reasonably healthy(with a fantastic chipotle sauce for a nice kick) if you want a fit-friendly food. I also got the bacon Mac n cheese tator tots(SOGOOD) and split an order of bacon wrapped brownies with my coworker. I will be honest, I didn’t think it would be good… And I was astounded when it was FREAKINGDELICIOUS. Basically my goal now is to try everything on the menu because it was sooo worth the extra morning workout. Apparently they have a shack or something in Huntington beach so I will be giving that a try, too.

Yum yum yum! Got the all American burger with tots. Burger comes with bacon, cheese, lettuce, onions, apple slice and BBQ sauce. Replaced the slice of apple with tomato.(Stop trying to throw fruit into my unhealthy burger!)

Had the All-American burger… Oh my goodness. It was beyond what I expected. Extremely flavorful, just enough kick and spice from their home made bbq sauce. The apples give it an almost cooling effect along with an extra bite! Loved it. Really glad I got it!

I started out with 4 stars, but after reading this dirt bag owner’s insult of Unilocaler Vi V. and his complaints about Unilocal in a business owner reply note, I also give 2 stars, in honor of Vi V. Unilocalers stay away from this hater. I got shorted on bacon. I mean, shouldn’t a sandwich from Bacon Mania be sprouting the stuff? I tried Jack Black, a grilled cheese with complex, multi-layered everything. The bread was magnificent, but I have no idea what kind it was because it was perfectly coated with a crispy, dense, breaded egg mixture(?) that clung to the bread and made it thick and meaty. Which is needed to stand up to the almost gooey content. Speaking content, it was sparse on bacon, though I wolfed it down so fast I didn’t seem to notice. Or care. I ordered from my phone, and it was ready right on time. What a neat thing that is.

This is one of my favorite trucks! BaconMANia came to my work and I was torn on what to order. The jack Sammie looked good but decadent so I chose the BLAT(BLT with Avocado). Unilocal check in gave me fries and a drink($ 4 savings). This was a damn good BLAT. Thick seasoned bacon and generous avocado… mouthwatering. The fries are nicely seasoned. So why 4 stars? The order taker just doesn’t seem excited to be there. Granted it’s not an exciting job but you are the only person we see in the process so… attitude adjustment? Regardless, try this place out! You won’t regret it!

I will preface this review by saying that I am a bit biased, since I did a project featuring the BACON MANia company. These are pretty cool people and they own a pretty rad business. I’ve visited the truck twice and they’ve always had a long line. But not only are Jay and his crew super friendly and personable, but they’re also very passionate about what they do – serving up a mean bacon-themed menu to the masses at venues ranging from food truck fairs to school events – and boy, do they do it well. Though I’ve only gotten one thing on their menu so far – probably one of the best grilled cheeses I’ve ever tasted – there are many other things BACON MANia offers that I would get on future visits, based on what I’ve seen and from what the founder himself has told me. Here’s the must-tries when it comes to BACON MANia fare: «Jack Back Sammie»: I’ve indulged in this cheesy goodness twice so far, and this sandwich will completely revolutionize the way you think of grilled cheese. This savory concoction features thick-sliced egg bread that’s crisped(fried with cheese on the outside) and stuffed with sharp Cheddar cheese and hickory-smoked bacon. So there’s cheese on the inside AND outside of the sandwich. I loved the crispy crunch of the bacon, the melted cheese oozing out of the sandwich, and the crispy cheese exterior. This is grilled cheese well done, folks. «Flash-Fried Spinach»: This item wasn’t present on the menu before, but it sounds like it’s right up my alley, since spinach is one of my favorite vegetables. This app/snack consists of deep-fried spinach that’s tossed in Parmesan and Malabar Pepper and topped with bacon crumbles. Think of your traditional spinach salad … but um, a lot tastier, crispier and more flavorful. «Bacon Ball Trio»: This sounds like a great sharable app if you’re with a group of bacon lovers. The«Bacon Ball Trio» features three of the truck’s «most delicious bacon-wrapped bites of brilliance.» They include the«Mac’n Bac’n»(Cheddar bacon mac ‘n cheese), «Bacon Mignon»(petite filet and Gorgonzala) and the«PB&J»(revamped sandwich on crustless wonder bread) … all wrapped in applewood-smoked bacon and deep fried. Though I’m not a huge steak fan, these combos sound interesting and I would be down to try this dish if I were with a group of people(probably not if I were just ordering for myself, though). «Mac’n Bac’n»: I’ve been wanting to try this homemade mac ‘n cheese for the longest time, and I still haven’t been able to get my hands on it yet. This medley sounds absolutely fantastic — baked macaroni and cheese topped with sharp Cheddar cheese and hickory-smoked bacon. As a mac ‘n cheese fan, I’m itching to try this cheesy version from BACON MANia, which supposedly has a tangy kick to it. «Loaded Fries»: There are three different versions of this shareable app. Customers can choose among the«Piggy Fries»(pork, bacon and slaw), «Mac Fries»(Mac’n Bac’n) and«ChiCheese Fries»(chili and cheese). I’d probably go for the«Mac Fries,» but all of these options sound bomb! «Brownie Bites»: Though I like my sweets to be super sweet, I have to admit, I’m a little curious to try the treats at BACON MANia. These bite-sized morsels feature moist, chocolaty brownies that are wrapped in bacon and deep fried, before being drizzled with Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Sounds like a good sweet-savory blend, but I’m not 100 percent sure how I feel about my brownies being completely wrapped in bacon! I’ll just have to give it a try one day and find out.

Today the Bacon Mania Truck was parked near my work and three of us decided to give it a try because how can you go wrong with bacon?! Between the three of us we shared the Chili Fries, the Rico Dog and Piggy Fries; all three were good in their own way. I think out of all three the Rico dog was probably the best, the hot dog was a sausage not a regular hot dog so it had a nice kick to it and then wrapped in bacon and topped with onions and jalapenos it was definitely a winner. The chili on the Chili fries tasted like fresh chili not out of a can, not too many beans and lots of meat. The Piggy fries had pulled pork, slaw, cheese and fries on it, I definitely felt like a piggy after eating that! Surprisingly their fries were really good; they had a nice crunch along with a perfect amount of salt and pepper on them. If you check in on Unilocal, you get a side of fries and a drink which was awesome! Our only complaint was that they gave us sporks which made it hard to eat our food.

Boyfriend and I were biking down from Newport Beach to Huntington to Bolsa Chica. After about 8 miles down, we got pretty tired and hungry so we decided to look for some food along the way. This was one of the places we stopped at — it looked pretty interesting and pretty new too — from the other burger shacks/joints…so we decided to stop and eat here. I guess it’s new since there isn’t a Unilocal review for it… I know they have like a truck(never had it before) but I didn’t know an actual place existed. After looking at the menu for a few minutes — we decided to share a Cobb Salad and the Mac Daddy Hot Dog. It turns out to be pretty good portions — the Mac Daddy Hot Dog is pretty big so it was good to share plus the salad was a good veggie side to balance the greasy and heaviness of the hot dog. The food was definitely very tasty and had a lot of bacon. After a eating a few bites, I also went back to order a Watermelon Lemonade — which was light and refreshing but sadly no refills. The service was super nice — cashier was very friendly and talkative. I just wish that the window to order wasn’t so low cause you would have to bend down to see the cashier to order — I am already short… I guess they did have a mesh screen you can look through but since it’s dark inside you can’t really see the cashier. Anyways, he was definitely pretty nice. Overall I’m glad we didn’t stop at the previous food places or else I wouldn’t have discovered this place. After all who doesn’t like Bacon on everything!

Met up with Bacon Mania outside of Noble Ale Works. I devoured a 2 pound paper bowl of fries, cheesy mac, and bacon sprinkles. Here’s why. Driving to Anaheim from Northern LA is such a wonderful thing. Looked up the directions on my phone and saw it should be a 35 minute drive. It should have said, «It’s 4:00. Close maps immediately. You’re an idiot.» 2 hours later we rolled into Noble for their release of Naughty Sauce. 2 beers slammed immediately to fight off effects of traffic tension. Another beer and your buzz reminds you to eat something. The mac fries are delicious. 8 bucks seems like a little much for such simple ingredients, but I think 7 – 10 is the going rate for food truck menu items. It’s like sushi where no matter where you go or what fish lies inside or on top, every roll says 9.95−12.95. Fries were cooked perfectly. Mac was creamy. Crumbled bacon on top was like a sprinkled donut, except this time I didn’t just eat the top and throw the rest away. She got the BLAT. Avocado was pretty sparse but it was still a tasty sandwich. 7 bucks. Within the food truck range. I will definitely see them again. Wherever they are or however long it takes me to get there.

While we were waiting at the Tom’s warehouse sale in the early morning, the bacon mania truck was parked in front of the warehouse taunting us. Bacon is my bf’s weakness and we were hungry so he decided to get the bacon breakfast burrito since the truck was only offering breakfast items at the time. Typical food truck pricing for the burrito, there as no combo so we had to buy a drink separate. The burrito was a good size and the tortilla wrap held up a good fight against the bacon greast and huge stuffings inside. Tortilla was crispy, there were good amounts of ingredients in the burrito. However, it just seemed like a regular breakfast burrito to me, nothing extraordinary. I do want to try their other items though like the fries

My friend and I love BACON. We only ordered the cheesy crisp that night though since there were tons of other trucks. I would have to say that the lone item we ordered(the cheesy crisp) was just okay. it was bacon, cheese, and batter all fried together(looked like a scene from Aliens after the aliens had the humans in the netting and goo for the little aliens to munch one). The crisp was too fried and almost to a burnt taste. I think I’ll have to try the Bacon Mania truck again… will give them another chance in the future.

Happened upon at the Total Wine parking lot on Thursday. Was heading towards BJs and, as my attention is waning, was diverted. Anything bacon immediately gets my attention. I was looking for small bites and, being there alone, decided to just get the bacon cheese crisps. Turns out this was a little to salty for my taste, even with the side of sour cream on a small lettuse to cut the saltiness. Need to give some of the other items on the menu a try. However, my current rating is just OK. Worth another try.

These guys take bacon to the max and mix it up with some solid options. I had the Bacon Mac n Cheese dog with tots. I have to say one of the best dogs I have eaten. What puts it over the top is the chipotle mayo and the egg bun. Nothing better than soft bread that doesn’t take away from the flavor. Plus the tots were fried perfectly. I also tried my friends grilled cheese. Also served up on egg bread, it has melted cheese on the inside and out. Really delicious.
