Very caring and attentive staff. Beautiful new building that has lots of sunlight coming in, along with high ceilings and open concept. Love having enough electrical sockets available for people who bring laptops. Their wi-​fi is fast and I’ve never experienced any slowdowns. Best of all, the price is right… FREE!

I love the new library!
The space is open and spacious. I particularly like the color scheme which create a calm and serene environment. There are plenty of work spaces and seating. The catalog is high-​tech little kiosks! The staff is friendly and helpful!
When I compare the childrens’ section to the old libraries, it’s just amazing! So much more to choose from, and plenty of room.
While it is a longer drive than the west branch used to be, its not too far, and definitely an improvement!

This beautiful building has been a long time coming for Irondequoit residents. I couldn’t be more excited to be able to study in a new place close to home.
There are 2 floors of ample seating and book shelves. There are beautiful conference rooms that can soon be rented out. I especially love that there’s a children’s library AND teen library. The computer lab is a great space, as well as the quiet room (which I’m hoping stays quiet).
There is 1 con that may be huge for some visitors. There is no café. The town tried working with other companies to rent out the reserved space but nothing ever solidified. This is not something that particularly bothers me, but it may be a burden for others. I’m hoping something works out in the near future, such as a little bake shop (it’s a nice little space for danishes and macaroons).
I can’t wait to make this place my new second home to study. I’ve needed this for a while!
