First of all I love the premise that this place was founded upon. They employ adults with development disabilities and give them training. To say that I love thrifting is a complete understatement and with that said i’ve seen my share of gritty, dirty thrift stores. The walk in closet is nothing like that. It is very clean and organized. I just found out not even an hour ago that the room in the far back is the dollar room. There is a small consignment section in the front that is very well kept but the furs in the middle are what caught my attention. I don’t own any but I adore them. They were still packaged. This place also has a 50%off sale every second Saturday so add that to your calendar. They have a fitting room and a very nice and clean restroom. I purchased a black sequin top that i’ve been stalking for $ 4.50. Go ahead and visit this place, you won’t be disappointed. You’re welcome.

unlike some other consignment shops, they don’t have a limit on how many pieces you can bring in! i did a winter purge of my closet and had 3 trash bags full that Jenny was able to set up an appointment to see. if your items don’t sell, they have plenty of options on how you can donate to charities they support!

I went to THEWALKINCLOSET expecting them to have nothing in my size, I was greeted by 3 beautiful smiling ladies who let me wander until I asked a question, I found two pair of size 17 new sneakers and a silk Barcelino tie(they average $ 125) I paid $ 2 for the tie. They have fantastic looking classic clothing hand picked by 3 obvious style experts. I shall return it was fun :)

Thank you, Unilocal for introducing me to this place! I consider myself a bit of a consignment/second hand/vintage connoisseur and had thought I knew of most of the shops in the South Bay, but Unilocal helped me discover this one! There isn’t a HUGE selection, but they do have some quality second hand and new items. The store is very nicely laid out and they have very decent fitting rooms. The woman who assisted me was also very helpful and incredibly pleasant. I was able to find a gorgeous NWT Calvin Klein gown and NWT sexy shaping bustier, and with the Unilocal Deal paid less than $ 20. Yeah, that’s right…$ 20. Unreal. I am a fan, and I will be back. Fellow Macklemores rejoice!

Lovely little place. Very clean and well organized. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. I also got just what I was looking for — a little lamp table — for $ 1. Perfect! I really enjoyed my experience here.

Wonderful experience! I was beyond touched with the concept of the store. The owner actually took the time to give me a mini tour of the store and explained to me the concept behind the store. He is doing amazing things for these kids/adults. Beautiful collection of clothes for a freaking steal to be honest with you! Go check them out!

I think the store is really well put together! The layout and design are very upscale. The clothing ran the gamut from chic business attire to sexy, cool party clothes. I look forward to shopping here and finding great pieces for my own wardrobe as well as pieces for productions!

Ok, you know what? I’m loving the new developments I have been noticing in Inglewood lately. I see a lot of promise in this city. Personally, I have always been fond of Inglewood, but a visit to the Walk in Closet last night most definately inspired me. The Walk in Closet is a thrift shop, but calling it that would do it NO justice because the average thrift shop evokes images of old, used clothes and goods, smelling of moth balls — NOT the case with this boutique-style place. ALL the merchandise is either lightly used and washed, or new items donated by corporations, and design houses, Read here: Style-wise, it may be more comparable with the used-clothes stores on Melrose — think Buffalo Exchange. I perused the racks and noticed Trina Turk, Jessica Simpson shoes, Shoedazzle pumps, Seven jeans, a few designer suits, and trendy accesories. Prices were very reasonable, I bought a pair of brand new Jessica Simpson pumps for $ 20, new Shoedazzle heels for $ 11, bangles, cocktail rings, a necklace for under $ 20. OMG, I cleaned up. The things I love most about the Walk In Closet is that the proceeds benefit special needs adults who are employed at the site at every level-customer service, stocking, inventory, internet sales(Ebay), etc. I love the level of service I received, the staff genuinely enjoy their jobs and are more than happy to help customers, the layout is a loft-style, beautifully decorated space – once again, NOT your average second-hand store by any means. I will be visiting the Walk in Closet again soon, as well as donating some fashionable items I have never worn to benefit their cause. Did I mention the shoes I bought were dope? Please check the photos.

I was pleasantly surprised by my shopping experience at The WalkinCloset. Not only is the store founded on a great concept, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I was also pleased by their selection. I will definitely be returning for a second visit, knowing that by shopping there I’m supporting a good cause.
