Located in Nora, this hardware store is conveniently located far from any big box hardware store. Very friendly staff is seemingly knowledgeable about everything in the store. Why travel extra miles when this store has what you need. They have an impressive selection of nuts and bolts too!

they over charged us 11.00 for 6 keys we had made, and when my son went back inside to get his refund. They acted like it was his fault. Very arrogant! I will travel farther to get better service. Also I needed those keys asap, and never been in Whites before. I am glad I didn’t need a ton of stuff.

We absolutely Love shopping at this hardware store. This is a small store with a limited selection of items, but the customer service makes up for it in every way! This is a great place to go if you have questions. We have been helped with many things having purchased a home that needed a lot of remodeling! The staff at Whites Ace hardware is very knowledgeable! We have talked to them about purchasing a Weber Grill, of which they have a great selection and very knowledgeable staff. We also recently had trouble with chipmunks living in our garage. They were able to suggest the humane and effective way of dealing with them. I just ran in for one item I needed for current project, and was asked by every staff member I saw if they could assist me! That was four times in just under five minutes! We loved the store and will continue to choose them over Lowe’s and other big box stores where I had spent numerous moments looking for just anybody who works there!

My family and I always try to support our neighborhood businesses instead of Lowe’s or Home Depot and have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars at our Ace on Westfield. Today, however, I spent $ 9 on 3 bags of paver sand for my patio, and got home to discover that they had loaded 3 bags of quickcrete instead. If you think you might be able to readily exchange that, think again. It took 2 phone calls and 3 trips back to the store to get my money back. Suffice it to say I did not exchange the quickcrete for sand because we are DONE doing business there. Sad that it had to come to that over $ 9.00

The staff are always helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Outstanding neighborhood hardware store with a good selection and everything is a lot closer than searching aimlessly through a big box store. I’ve probably been in this store 100 times over the years. When I was growing up(not in Indy), we had Riley’s Hardware. I used to wander around there for hours — God I miss that place.

Been in twice in the last couple of weeks for a total of maybe five minutes. The first time I visited, I did not know the layout of the store. The employee knew exactly where the fasteners were that I needed. I would return if I were in the area.

I’m not a handyman, or a hardware store kind of guy. I’m useless with tools. I have NO knowledge of home repair. Why do I torture myself with continuing to try to do it? Mostly because I stumbled into this place. They looked at my bloody fingers and smashed nails and thought«This guy needs some serious help». OK, maybe I’m stretching things a bit. But I will say that I’ve always got patient, friendly service from the fellas here. They’re willing to help without being intrusive if you just want to browse. Nice sized store with a decent selection of just about anything you’d need. They have earned my repeat business.

Not a fan. New to our apartment, we had several projects we needed to complete. We were excited at the idea of a neighborhood, mom and pop hardware store. In a nutshell, it was impossible to flag down help. There were plenty of staff but they couldn’t be bothered to assist us in our search for tools and parts. When you are charging gobs more than Target or Lowes, you better have darn good customer service. White’s Ace Hardware does not. What gives? Lastly, the curtain rod we bought here was a joke and broke the day we installed it.

Small store feel which is great… except the service is not so friendly. I came mid day during the week and was the only customer in the place. I was helped right away but nobody was very nice or friendly. With so many larger hardware/home stores around I am surpised they are still in business.

White’s Ace Hardware is a prime example of what a neighborhood hardware store«SHOULD» be! From the incredibly helpful and pleasant staff all the way up to Chris White and his Dad. You get unmatched service with GENUINE caring! They all go out of their way to help you. They are incredibly well stocked with whatever it is you need. They have an excellent selection of Echo yard tools from $ 99 trimmers to $ 600 backpack blowers. They probably have one of the best selection of grills in town, including a full line(in stock) of Weber and Ducane. They offer full delivery service and usually can deliver the same day. I recently bought a new grill and also purchased 25 bags of salt for my water softener. They delivered both and actually brought the salt down to the basement and stacked it beside my softener. Much nicer experience than dealing with the big box stores. Kudos to you all at White’s Ace Hardware don’t ever leave us. Oh and by the way, they stock CRAFTSMANTOOLS now!!!

My hope is that White’s Ace Hardware sticks around for a long time. It’s the type of place I wouldn’t mind my son or daughter working at. They cater to the neighborhood. That’s not to say it is a laugh a minute or some sort of gabfest. Far from it. The people at White’s are all business. As soon as you walk in, someone is there asking if they can help. Every time! No B.S. The selection is much bigger than you think. And if you need mulch, stone, etc., you just order from the book, drive back and load it up. No carting around stuff on a giant metal sled.
