Good prices. Good food. Not so great service. Guess you pay for what you get. Close to home and pretty quick though. Line is usually out the door.

This place is great if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat or a donut to never let you down. It’s cash only which gives it character. Small groups only. The food is so so, kind of food you can make at home… But the donuts are to die for. Get one of everything. With Long’s bakery so far away… Us broadripple folk have to make do with what we got. Yum!

A perfect simple donut; my favorite kind. But they are hard to come by lately with the trend in candied bacon and matcha powdered experimental donuts. They are delicious and they are cheap, you should just go. We are looking forward to going back and trying the greasy spoon goodness of breakfast in the near future.

I pick up their donuts in the morning every once and a while, and have yet to be disappointed. I would go there more often if they accepted credit cards, as I don’t carry cash too frequently. The variety and quality is excellent

My significant other loves donuts, so we came here. Not a bad place, and the prices are ROCKBOTTOM. The food and coffee are also good. I have had breakfast at more expensive places, and not had as good a breakfast as here. Do yourself a favor and order the potatoes(I think they call them«home fries»). One thing to keep in mind is they do not take any cards, but they use the savings and pass it on to their customers. So customers win!

If you are tired of the overdone, cereal-topped donut trend, this is the place for you! They have a wide variety of no-frills options but I tend to get the cake donut holes over and over again. They are so good, crunchy on the outside, soft and cakey on the inside. The maple bacon donut is also pretty spectacular. If you’re looking for more than just donuts, they are quite the greasy spoon diner as well! My husband and I stopped there on New Year’s day and got the chili and grilled cheese special. I was surprised at how tasty it was. The chili was spot-on and the grilled cheese tasted just like how my grandma used to make. Classic, American cheese and buttered white bread. The breakfast burrito is also delicious.

Nice little place to get a bite to eat. Donuts are very good. Small and easy to miss. Parking is tricky. Will definitely go again.

Bring your ca$h! Be prepared for the parking lot to be fairly full — no matter what morning you’re visiting. They’ve got a great selection of traditional donuts and holes, cake or yeast varieties, at good old fashioned prices! Donut holes are less than a quarter, and they’ll offer a deal if you buy a dozen. But beware. .. once you pop you can’t stop!

This is your best value for a basic no frills breakfast. Eggs your way, bacon your way(or sausage or ham), hash browns, pancakes. Add coffee and it’s a great day starter for under 6 bucks(plus tip). Donuts are good, donut holes even better. Ambiance is low key diner. Again, no frills. There is a similarly basic lunch menu. Always busy which says a lot.

Hole in the wall, accepts only cash, and simple food. Not the best food but you can’t beat the prices.

My husband and I love the Donut Shop and spend most of our Saturday mornings there. The donuts are amazing, but we love it for a good, quick, inexpensive, diner style breakfast. Only takes cash so be aware before you go!

Just visiting family and stopped here. I must say driving up I could not imagine how good it was by how it looked from the outside. We started by ordering some doughnuts… yes they were awesome! Then we decided on some breakfast sandwiches. What a great deal! And they were so good! The biscuits were so fresh and fluffy!!! We also had a bagel sandwich which was also very good. I had the croissant sandwich. The bacon was perfectly crispy, which is hard to find. The service could have been better BUT considering how great the food was and how reasonably priced… we will be back! We had 2 egg, bacon, and biscuit sandwiches, 1 croissant egg and bacon sandwich, 1 bagel sausage and egg sandwich and a cup of coffee. Our total was $ 10.79!!! Try it, food is great!

What a gem. This place is run by a handful of sweet little Filipino ladies who have mastered the making of donuts and breakfast foods in general. NOTE: This is a CASH only establishment, but totally worth it. Parking is not the easiest, but I think they may have had spots in the back behind the building. Seating inside the place is also very tight, so be sure to suck it in. Business is busy, particularly at peak hours in the mornings, but service is friendly and accommodating. The honey-dip donuts are SO fluffy and not too sweet — delicious! The menu is straight forward and serving sizes are pretty hefty. We had four people, each with endless coffees with donuts along with items from their breakfast menu for a miniscule $ 27 and change — AND had leftovers too! What a deal.

Second best donuts in Indy!((After Longs, of course.)) I LOVE their flavor selection and their donuts are always fresh, light and fluffy! My favorite is the vanilla angel. Their other breakfast food is basic diner food done right. I usually get eggs and home fries and toast, and Manfriend gets the hash. Food is good. Price is right. Great little breakfast spot! **cash only**

First things first — they accept cash only. Their donuts are delicious. Light and fluffy, not too sweet, just the right amount. I think their coconut crunch and peanut crust are a must try. When it come to the price they are the sort of awesome local store that gives you tasty stud without breaking your bank. Most donuts are 79c. Breakfast should you have it is pretty decent. But this star rating is mainly for their value(and taste) for money donuts. Please visit them, we need more such local stores to be successful.

This is a small diner that specializes in donuts. I had a glazed yeast and a coconut butternut. I did like the butternut but the yeast donut was not sweet enough. The texture was good, just not enough glaze. I also ate biscuit and gravy with eggs over medium. If you’re hungry get the full order because the biscuits are tiny. They tasted good and the eggs were cooked correctly. It wasn’t the best I’ve had, but not bad. The server was nice. But I hate the fact that they only take cash. There is an ATM in the dining room but it cost $ 2.75 extra. There is no good excuse for any place if business not taking cards.

I must preface my review by saying I came here only because I went to The Dancing Donut on opening day and they were running low/the line was long, but my donut desire was in full force and it needed to be satisfied. Hence, my visit here. How can I put this nicely… it’s a «greasy spoon», old-fashioned diner straight out of a bad 80’s movie. The diner where the cops congregate for their stereotypical donut/coffee fix. Got the visual? That’s The Donut Shop(also, Dancing Donut trumps them in the creative name contest). The store is small, but there is some bar & booth seating available. Service was a tad slow, and they forgot some of the donut flavors we rattled off in our order and we had to pursue them for the coffee, but we weren’t overcharged for products we weren’t given. That all being said, the donut(honeydip is their«classic glazed») was delish and flaky. But, I feel like I could’ve gotten the same tasting experience from a Krispy Kreme from the grocery store.

Excellent donuts and greasy spoon breakfast joint. I woke up one morning and saw Brittany S.‘s review of this place and had a powerful craving for donuts so I headed right over. I realized I’ve driven past this place a million times before and never noticed it! First, the donuts are great. There’s a whole wall of them and I wish I could just sit there and eat every single one. If you opt to sit down and have breakfast, it’s insanely cheap($ 4−6/meal). Standard fair, we really liked the #2 — egg + bacon/ham/sausage(the ham was excellent & plentiful) + potatoes + perfectly buttered(see: soaked) toast. All for under $ 5! Couldn’t even finish it(ok, I had a chocolate donut as an appetizer so…) The coffee wasn’t great, but I think that was the only miss in the meal. They are CASHONLY but have an atm inside. Ambience is totally greasy spoon — hasn’t been updated in forever, looks straight out of the 50s. You can tell there’s a very regular crowd who comes here every morning. The waitstaff aren’t overly friendly, but they’re not rude, either.

Service is slow. I came around lunch time and they were focused on getting hot food orders over donut orders. It doesn’t help that they don’t have a separate donut line to get people out faster. The parking lot here is tiny! I recommend coming at an off time or bringing a friend to run in and grab the donuts while you keep the car running. Don’t forget that it’s cash only here. There are a lot of donut flavors to choose from. When I arrived, they probably had half of the flavors left. 65¢ for a regular donut, $ 1.00 for cinnamon twists, and $ 1.10 for a huge cinnamon roll. Honeydip — pretty much a glazed donut but with less glaze German Chocolate — the one I got tasted really salty for certain bites. A lot of coconut flakes on it. The donuts here were good but not amazing. I would try other donut places in town before coming back here.
