Love the food and the restaurants. Go when I am able to. Great service and always good food from the kitchen.

Instead of stars I’m gonna give this restaurant 5 rusty thumbs down… Because it has been a month and the manager said someone was gonna contact me and I’m still waiting… The most ridiculous experience ever! Ok first let me start by saying if you like tepid food then this the place to eat! Enough said about the food. The bar tender must have been out of her mind. She came out of nowhere and reached over our table and grabbed my friends drink from the table. I guess she wanted that particular glass and proceeded back to the bar with it. We paid out the check and went to the bar to ask the bartender about her actions and she responds«it is against the law to have drink on the dining table after closing.» What was confusing to me was that she did not take my martini! What the heck is going on! Two thumbs down!

Tonight the wife took me there for dinner for my birthday after seeing Star Wars. Got there at 9:40p. Was told kitchen closes at 10p but plenty of time. Before steak came we needed another wine and beer. Refused to sell us any alcohol because it was 10:01p and bar closes at 10p. New Indiana law I guess??? Ordered steak med/rare. Came raw. Was told cook probably tired and just in a hurry to go home. So he’s tired and I can’t even get anything to drink with my raw steak. Will never go back to this place.

Atmosphere was cool — the ceiling and the gold fixtures with the paintings really gave it an «out west» feel. Really reminded me of restaurants I’ve visited in South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming. It was a good feel. I went with the New Mexico burger and I wasn’t let down. The peppers and spices blended with the meat and cheese. The fries were hand cut and were good. Tasted home made. Very good experience. Next time I’ll have to try the steak, but I was in a burger mood this time. Great time!

This is one of my work staples. If I’m meeting a vendor, a recruiter, or taking somebody from work to a nice lunch, this is the place. Great selections, nice atmosphere, and overall great value. Highly recommend!

I have been here a couple times, most recently last evening. It is not in an area of town I frequent so I often forget about it. After leaving last night I thought to myself I need to remember to get here more often. Before I get too much further I want to let you know this is a chain. I am a big supporter of all things local and pretty anti-chain restaurants but this is the exception. This place makes everything from scratch on site including their sour mix for the bar. They use local sources whenever possible. In fact in my chat with one of the servers last night it was communicated to me that the pickles are the only thing they don’t make on sight. The food here is good and made from real ingredients. I love that it is easy to make healthy choices for lunch or dinner plus they are tasty! The Big Sky Salad with cedar salmon and BLT ranch dressing is my favorite thing on the menu. I’ve also enjoyed their chili which hits the spot on a cold day. The margaritas are also exceptional– house made sour mix makes a difference! I also love that this restaurant is environmentally friendly. The straws are made from paper. Take home containers are aluminum. Cloth napkins at each table. It makes me feel good to support such efforts. The price point is on the higher end of moderate but I don’t mind because the quality of food I am getting is totally worth it!

We were looking specifically for an easy place to stop and have a salad, lean protein and veggies. We ended up here after the Carmel location was closed due to a power outage. Maybe that was a blessing in disguise? We tucked into a quiet booth in the bar, which was awesome. Dark woods. High backs. No kids. The bring out a house made pickle to start and they’re good. I think they could just just a touch longer in the pickling liquid, but I liked the freshness and crunch. Kurtis was our serve and he was awesome. Attentive without being overwhelming. He took excellent care of us. Wedge salad was great. Crisp. Fresh. Lots of tomato and bacon. Blue cheese dressing is good. Steaks were great and cooked perfectly. We both went with the ribeye. One beef and one bison. They were both great with the bison being much more lean, of course. Seasoning was complimentary, but you still tasted meat. Veggies were fine. Nothing to sing about. Onion Rings & French Fries are delish. I loved the onion rings because they weren’t greasy. French Fries are hand cut in house. We had to laugh because, if you’ve ever seen the film«Waiting,» our server and the manager could have come straight from the film. It was hilarious. Almost to the point that we asked them if they were taking the piss.

Oh man, anywhere I can get some good bison is a good place in my mind. I tried one of their bison burgers and was pretty impressed. The meat was cooked perfectly and the sandwich was delicious. Our server did a great job keeping up on drinks and getting our food out to us quickly. He was also training a new server and did a good job instructing while also taking care of us. The atmosphere inside was nice, but didn’t feel formal and stuffy. Coming here was a bit last minute, and I felt a little under dressed in my jeans and a t-shirt. I don’t see myself coming here too often, as it’s a bit out of my way and a little pricey for a regular visit, but I wouldn’t mind coming back to explore more of the menu. Or maybe just order what I got last time, because yes, it was that good.

The food here was very good as was the service — our server was new so she was very nervous but did just fine. The ambience here is tired — really really tired. This whole dark wood, dark restaurant vibe has it’s place but it’s place isn’t in a strip mall with a movie theater and Old Navy. You can barely see your food! I had the appetizer sliders as my meal and there were very tasty! Places tend to overcook sliders so I was glad they were moist and juicy. My husband got the salmon salad(which he always orders) and said it was great as usual. The thing that freaks me out about Ted’s is there creepy straws. I know they are trying to be ecologically sound and I appreciate that but a paper straw that dissolves halfway through your drink is just gross. They clearly must know it is a problem because they provide a cup of them right on the table. Ick. Overall, we’ll keep going back because it’s good food and a good value — I can live with the straw thing :)

Hey there, Ted’s — we meet again. And I’m liking what I’m seeing(and tasting)! We made reservations for Father’s Day just in case and we were promptly seated a few minutes prior to our actual reservation time. I’ve had great service here before, but Leah was particularly fabulous! Enthusiastic and personable without being overbearing. I stepped outside the box and got the kale salad(corn, peppers, tomatoes, herbs) and it made me rethink kale! Usually not the biggest fan, but the zingy vinaigrette added a little bite to the greens. The salmon was perfect as usual — I got the 7 oz(vs. 9 oz.) and still had leftovers! Served with creamy mashed potatoes, asparagus, and horseradish sauce to add some kick to the salmon(don’t worry– this isn’t St. Elmo’s clear-your-sinuses strong). The asparagus was the dark horse for me — again, not usually a fan but it had some sort of peppery seasoning on it that made me clean my plate! The only downfalls of this particular visit were: –it took awhile to get the check, when otherwise service was speedy all night –the pickles were, sadly, a disappointment. Usually my favorite, the weren’t very crisp and didn’t have the great flavor like I remember :/The portion also seemed small for a table of 3, but I’m pretty sure it’s a never ending bowl of pickles if you want refills.

Would I go back? Maybe. The décor is typical steak joint, dark wood paneling, long wooden bar. Booths and tables. The food ranges from beef or bison steaks, bison meatloaf, sandwiches, salads, chicken, trout and salmon. All come with a side. The steak was cooked to the ordered temperature. The salt and pepper trout came out on a cold plate. So the trout was warm, bordering on cold. The vine ripen tomatoes should not be served if they are not in season. No flavor. The service was adequate and the restaurant was clean. It is nothing special unless you want a bison burger or steak.

Ted’s is good food. I almost never eat in. For a family of four, I could imagine spending $ 70.00EASILY. But that’s because the food is both good for you and it’s ethically sourced. That’s a good thing. The take out person is ALWAYS polite, with a great smile, that makes it easy to justify a tip, but that’s just a «thing» with me.

Totally disappointed especially since the previous Unilocalers had good things to say. The table consisted of me, my friend, and her 3 yr. old daugher. When we sat down, it took over 5 min for someone to come get a drink order. We gave it to the guy and then our waiter showed up a minute later and asked for our drink order again. .weird When the drinks finally showed up the 3 yr olds was in a glass and we asked for a kids cup. We were told they were out and would bring one over if they got some in before we left. REALLY? I ordered the blue creek bison burger(medium) and«aunt frannies» squash casserole for my side. My meal came as expected and cooked as expected. My friend ordered the 12oz ribeye and was told they were out so she ordered a burger(well done). Her burger was still red inside so we sent it back to the kitchen. They reheated the same patty and put it on a new bun and the owner brought it out. He asked if she would cut into it while he was there to make sure it was to her liking.. . cut into it and it was still red. He was gracious enough to comp her burger but not the drink or side order. Poor way to treat a customer. With so many other steak house options around(including a competator in the sam parking lot) I won’t be returning. Sorry Teds.

Let me start by saying that Ted’s may be the best dining experience I have had in a very long time. From the moment we walked in we were given the VIP treatment. The manager at this location is incredible, and that shows in every aspect of the business. I had never experienced Bison before my visit to Ted’s, and I was blown away… but let me rewind a second here. Shortly after being seated, they brought out a small plate of what looked like cucumbers. I didn’t want to give away my inexperience with fancy dining so I waited until our lovely waittress walked away to bite into one, and they were delightful bursts of pickled freshness in my mouth. As you are learning from my reviews, I love a good adult beverage. Ted’s did not disappoint in that aspect, either. I ordered a strawberry margarita, and was uncertain when they brought it out because it was on the smaller side of the margarita world. But two margaritas in and I was waving the white flag. Those things packed a delicious, not too sweet, punch that was a perfect pair with my Bison pot roast. Bison blew me away. It was the most tender pot roast I’ve ever tasted, and it was paired with creamy mashed potatoes… and have I mentioned how much I adore mashed potatoes? Ted’s is a place you don’t want to miss out on. It’s classy, yet laid back, and the food will not disappoint!

This was my second visit to Ted’s and once again, it did not disappoint! I was lucky enough to have Lance as my waiter again. He is an absolute hoot! He loves his job, which makes your dining experience so much fun! The complimentary, freshly sliced cucumbers, mildly pickled were a great start to our meal. As for the burgers… um hello? It’s bison. It melts in your mouth and is absolutely 100 times better than just a simple beef patty. I chose George’s Cadillac. A bison patty covered in melted cheddar cheese, smoky bacon and BBQ sauce. It came with a side of fries and lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion to dress the patty. Ted’s has a number of different burger combinations, from the simple Naked burger to the Avalon, a burger with melted Gruyère with a hint of Bleu cheese, crumbled bacon and sweet caramelized onions, roasted garlic aioli and baby arugula. Let me tell ya… you can get pretty fancy up in here. OH! I almost forgot. If you’re an ice chomper like myself… ask for their crushed ice with your drink. Da bomb.

A co-worker is big into meat, so we brought him here for a birthday lunch. I’m glad we made a reservation for our group of 12 because they were full. Who knew this place was so popular during lunch? I ordered the roasted beet salad with goat cheese. The main components were spinach, beets, nuts, and roasted chicken. Where to begin? First, the chicken included dark meat, which I do not like whatsoever. Picking around it proved to be somewhat difficult. Second, the beets. Since the salad was called«Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese,» I expected there to be a decent amount of beets. I was mistaken. The beets were tiny in size and quantity. The spinach and the dressing was nice, but the dark meat chicken threw me for a loop. The other 11 people who were there ordered burgers and everyone was very complimentary, even the person who ordered the vegetarian burger. Next time, I’ll be sure and avoid the salads and try a burger. Service was slow, but there was a group of 12 of us, and we were there right in the middle of lunch, so I blame that on us, not the restaurant. Another item we noticed: carbonated drinks come with crushed ice and water and iced tea came with ice cubes. It was strange. I’ve never seen two different kinds of ice used before.

My husband and I were on our way to see a movie, but they were sold out and I was starving. I’d never tried Ted’s and we did a little loopy loop and trotted into the restaurant. We sat at the bar since there seemed to be a wait for a table(we didn’t make reservations, but I would suggest them). The bar staff was friendly and attentive. You can see into a portion of the kitchen and could tell they were all working hard, but also enjoying themselves. I ordered and salad and chili(made with bison) and husband got the bison burger. They were all delicious. Bison tasted leaner and had more flavor than regular beef. If you’re hesitant about eating bison, I’d recommend trying out Ted’s since they do it so well! I’ll be back!

Go for the Red Rock Bison burger! Yum, Yum, Yum! I’m sure all the bison burgers are fab-o, but this one is a nice tangy flavor with a tail of spice on the back end. I loved the«party on the plate» as my server called it with the option to give the fresh cut fries AND the onion rings… ah, the way to my starchy lovin little heart! Our server was beyond exceptional. She always made sure our drinks were topped off and that we were good on condiments BEFORE we got our food, to make sure we had to ask for nothing once our plates arrived. She was really knowledgeable of the menu which was great for a newbie like me. A really cool little detail about Ted’s is their dedication to the environment. You’ll notice not just 100% biodegradable paper straws, but biodegradable table mats and menu’s. Great atmosphere, and even greater food!

I have been to Ted’s for several business lunches and we prefer to take our business clients here. The atmosphere reminds me of an old school restaurant: huge wooden booths, lots of leather, etc. The service is almost always impeccable. Their food is delicious. Everyone raves about their burgers. I went there during Lent this past spring and tried their salmon. It was absolutely delicious, and really surprised me. I like their pickle chips they serve at the beginning of their meals, and their paper straws are charming. I would highly recommend trying an order of their fresh potato chips, as you will not be able to stop before the bowl is gone. A great place for a work lunch or dinner!
