Steak N’ Shake

I’m writing a review for this place because like many others… I only review S&S during bad experiences — and this S&S — which I have been to a couple times now (my boyfriend is obsessed) is actually a pretty decent location compared to a lot of the other ones in Indy.
It is clean (for a S&S) and the service was also pretty quick & the order was right. Not much more you can expect for $ 4.00 a meal. Good job Southport S&S!

Excellent service, order was quick, PERFECT and tasty! First time here to this Steak ‘n Shake and I would come back again

I am a frequent Steak n Shake eater. I wasn’t sure if maybe I came to this location on an off night, but after reading the other reviews I will assume this is par for the course at this location. Luckily I’m not from the area so I will not have to dine here again.
Pros:
–It’s (technically) Steak N Shake
Cons:
–Slipped on a pee covered bathroom floor which was out of paper towels to clean my shoes
–Waited 15 minutes to have order taken
–Was given the wrong shake
–Was never given the correct shake (waited 20 minutes)
–Food was cold and my Royal burger had egg shells in it
–Fries were undercooked
Bottom Line:
–Avoid at all costs, find the next closest Steak N Shake, this place is being run horribly

Wow don’t and expect to get service! Waited 25 minutes for a water server was rude!!! Very disappointing!

Worst Steak ‘n Shake on the south side, slow service, mediocre food. My burger was cold and my chili 3-​way was about half of a serving

Mediocre as far as Steak n’ Shakes go. It is really hit-​or-​miss on the quality of the food. Last burger I had (western bbq bacon) had 1 piece of bacon on it! Unacceptable! We do eat here a lot, because it is very convenient (right off 37 @ Southport rd.)
