Snodgrass & Davis Studio

I’ve used this studio twice to restore artwork. Both times I worked with Guy Davis, who was very helpful and knowledgeable about his craft.
The first artwork I brought them was a huge oil canvas that I rescued from my Dad’s garage. The canvas had been folded, driven over, and exposed to Chicago elements for years. When I first saw it, I thought it was hopeless. But Mr. Davis did a wonderful job restoring it. You can still tell the art has seen some hard times, but it adds interest to it’s story.
More recently, I brought in a piece of art I purchased as a gift to my husband. It was in good shape, but dirty. Mr. Davis did a great job cleaning it and helped me select a beautiful frame. It’s now the centerpiece of our living room, and we’re very happy with it.
I highly recommend Snodgrass and Davis for art restoration and framing. As a bonus, they’re located within an art and antique gallery that’s a very cool place to check out, and worth a trip for it’s own sake.
