Very expensive paint compared to Home Depot, Lowe’s and other large hardware stores. Even on sale their paint runs about $ 35 a gallon and many are around $ 60 per gallon. Not sure how much better their paint is than the big hardware stores though, as I did not make a purchase here. The lady I spoke to was friendly and nice and she understood when I told her I was going elsewhere to buy my paint at half the price, lol. Seems like she hears that often. The store itself was clean, well organized, and in a decent location near Washington sq mall. The low rating is mostly for the very high prices. So if you don’t mind paying a lot, this is a great place to shop for paint and supplies, ha.

This place is not *insert big box hardware store here*. The guys working on the day we went in went above and beyond to help us with an obscure paint request and really cared that we got a product that worked for us and that we would be happy with. Let me back up a bit… Eight years ago we bought a house on the far east side of Indianapolis. Through a twist of fate, we were give the option to paint our house with a number of Sherwin-Williams mistints for free. Having just gotten married and spent all our money on a wedding and a new house, this was perfect for us. Flash forward to today, we have a hole in a wall in a «reddish» colored room that now needs patched and touched up. We took chunks of the wall into them and chatted with them about our situation. One of the men had been working for SW long enough that he knew specifically what types of paint would have been sold when we got that paint, what sorts of fading issues the paint had at that time, the corrective measures SW has since taken, what type of product we should use to get the best match, etc. The other gentleman worked with us to get the best color match with their computer, running our paint chip through several times to get the lowest delta variation on the paint color. Because our color was not a true SW paint, and because it had been on the wall for so long, it was a big higher than he would have liked, but when painted next to our chip it looked identical. The service here was completely outstanding. They carry not only all the paint you could need, but also painting supplies like brushes, tape, rollers, ladders, stain, etc. They also seem to run frequent sales, so though their prices may be a touch higher than *insert big box hardware store here*, there are discounts to be had, the product is a high quality, and you are certainly getting expertise along with the product you are buying. I would not hesitate to do business with them again. *One thing I almost forgot to note — both of these men were more than happy to talk to me, rather than just speaking to my husband. This is not, unfortunately, always the case in a home improvement type store.
