Absolutely delicious. Veggies were very crisp and fresh, pita was soft and the harmony of all the flavors literally made me want to dance. My hubby and I split a black bean pita and a falafel. The black bean was hands down both of our favorite. The falafel was good also, I may have needed more sauce though. This place is great for a quick healthy bite and its vegan and vegetarian friendly. The staff was cool and friendly as well.

My go-to place for lunch/dinner. Always fresh, always great. Absolutely love it. I go there at least once every week or so.

PP is the real deal! No only are the people friendlier, but the food trumps anything else you can get from a «sandwich shop». The menu has TONS of options and you can customize anyway you see fit. Plus, they have tons of sauces to make it just right. Forget the large chains… PP is legit! I have never had a bad experience their and they never break my wallet!

Great Food — employee Joe was the only man on deck today due to weather, but he still came through on all fronts. My wife Alex and I love this place and actually drive out of the way to stop in for a Gyro. Try the Boom Boom sauce!

Pita Pita is excellent. It’s fast and extremely fresh. Like subway meets qdoba. It’s healthy, fresh and delicious. Definitely check this place out, you’ll become a regular.

Best mix of nutrition/tatse/price/convenience on the north side of Indy. Usually no wait when I go. Great sauce choices(ancho chipotle is fire). Make a great gyro as well.

This is my first time having food from this business. I ordered delivery to my place of employment. They were very polite over the phone and offered suggestions to make my pita better, since I’ve never had it before. The food arrived very fast! I will def order again & also stop in if I ever get the opportunity.

Didn’t know it was a chain, just wanted something quick and clean, Unilocal app directed me to the PP. Went in around 1:30, lunch crowd was dwindling away, loads of options on the wall, decided on the gyro and double meat for $ 2 more, got the combo option and went with fruit and water. Not bad, pretty filling, calorie count says it’s 580 or something like that, I believe it assumes that your getting chips/soda. You get your choice of fixins at the end, so you can stack it with as many veggies as they can jam in a pocket. They also serve the same option sans the pita, but what’s the point then? I’d hit this joint up again if looking for something healthier and was in the area.

To start, Pita Pit the chain is usually a good sandwich shop with fresh ingredients and make it a great alternative to other sandwich chains. But the 86th Street Pita Pit is inconsistent in service, in food stock, in cleanliness of counters, in freshness of food. Having had a Pita Pit in my hometown, and after working near the downtown location, the 86th location leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve been in there several times, and each time has been worse than the last. I went to ask for pico in my pita, and noticed there was some sauce all over the ingredients. The response from the employee was essentially«Yeah, some dressing got spilled in there. That happens.» So, I’m done. You can do better than to eat at this Pita Pit. I’m not hanging in any longer in the hopes they get their act together.

I go here one or twice a month. I like it better than subway, but the service is rather inconsistent. I usually get cilantro and every once in a while they will put a big handful in it like it’s lettuce. I really like their tuna and I always get the small pitas because you can load up on the free ingredients.

Iced tea lovers: they only have that BLEH gold peak tea machine. Best thing they have going is the staff. The value to cost ratio isn’t there for me. Just shy of $ 9 for the combo of a small falafel w/chips and drink? Nah.

Had a small lunch today, shared 2 small pita’s. One Philly Cheese Steak, and one Gyro. Just the right size, and got to add extra veg options. Everything was fresh, toasted well, and decently priced. We will be back.

When we lived in Nevada I found this chain. They do a great job of putting together a unique pita for each person’s taste. The Indianapolis chain was nothing short of what I remembered. Nicely done!

Ok, I’m sorry but this is just after one visit, but the Veggie Pita with hummus was not that great. The wheat pita bread was dry and tasteless, but the veggies were fresh. I could have just eaten them with a fork. I would go back though, maybe it was just what I ordered this time.

I got my first taste of Pita Pit up in Muncie while I was attending BSU… and was hooked. I’m going to be a lemming and admit that I usually either get their gyro or falafel because… well…they’re amazing! I recently tried the one on 86th street for the first time and it was everything I remembered! Service was fast and professional and the toppings were fresh! Make you get the tzatziki sauce in your pita. You won’t regret it. There’s currently a Groupon going on where you pay $ 10 and get 2 $ 10 vouchers to use. Yay for frugal me!

Pretty good gyros, however it cannot be compared to the real deal. They don’t slice the meat off the spindle. It was missing the authentic taste, but was still good for what it was! Would definitely go back! Guys there were pretty friendly and helpful!

Love this place! Meat is great! Choice of veggies and sauce is just awesome! So many choices, s almost overwhelming if you’ve never been there before. I got the sulvlaki pita, and it was so good! I got mushrooms, cilantro, pico de gallo, tomato, spinach, feta, and tzaziki sauce! Way better than subway! My boyfriend got the dagwood and loved it! It was so full they could barely wrap it up!

A couple of weeks ago I had my first Pita Pit experience and it was okay, nothing spectacular. I ordered the Club which had bacon, ham, and turkey, then topped it with cheese, spinach, and onion. It tasted fine, but I thought it wasn’t worth the price. I had a coupon for a free bag of chips and free drink with the purchase of a pita, and my total was around $ 7.50. If I had to pay for the chips and drink, it would have easily cost over $ 10. Pros: quick service, easy to customize your order Cons: too salty(I did get something with bacon, but it was VERY salty), pricier than what I’d like to spend on lunch If you come here, be sure to get their loyalty card. It seemed to take a while before you got a free sandwich, but that’s life.

The Pita Pit has been a long standing business on the north west side in the same shopping center as Trader Joes, and I was sad to see them close late last year. I was then confused when I spotted someone in the break room at work munching on a pita from there one afternoon, so I promptly hauled them into my office and interrogated them for answers. This is the story I was given by someone who apparently knew more than me. Pita Pit is a franchise, and the person who had this location closed the shop. Shortly after, the franchise owner of the downtown Indy location took over my north side lunch spot and reopened it, hiring a lot of the old staff back. Aside from some small differences(like the Coke Freestyle machine and not having baked pita chips), the place is pretty much the same. Same menu, same grill, same great service. I like that the Pita Pit is a great alternative to the fast food down the road, and it’s a great place to sit outside and eat when the weather is nice out. Get there early though. the lunch crowd from the hospital gets pretty hectic just after noon, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to eat, especially outside.
