Well it depends on what time of the day you are here. If it’s a hot followed by rainy afternoon, this is the nicest spot! It has a hipster, chilled out atmosphere with not very loud music. You will love studying here. Coffee is pretty decent I like the iced coffee with a little cream in it!

Internet is not password protected… soooo slow that it is unusable. Dirty toilet. Too bad. Atmosphere and location are great. Coffee is good. Plenty of AC plugs for laptops. Lots of potential…

I loved Mo’joe’s when I was a student in college and still occasionally come by for their beehive lattes, my personal favorite. This place has tons of space for bigger groups or plenty of small tables if you want a table for two. They sell baked goods, salads, pies, cookies… A little bit of everything. The service is always excellent and they are helpful with suggestions if you can’t make up your mind! Their hours are nice too, especially if you need a place to study.

Coffee — 3.5 stars Location/place/other stuff — 4 Average –4 Coffee here is good… not bad not amazing… They have a nice variety of well made creative drinks. They have a greater variety of odds and ends to eat like nice looking sweets(muffins, scones, cakes), bagels, etc. What I love about mo Joe is that it is one of a few places in Indy that has coffee and enough seating for people to hang around and study or socialize. The location is conveniently between the canal and more central downtown, so the wacky parking situation can be avoided by walking or biking. A valid place to stop for a caffeine boost.

Excellent cup of coffee and a really cool atmosphere. If you have some work to do or just want a good roast and some time to kill, definitely stop in. The pastries are pretty good too. Much better than any chain coffee place. Also, enjoy the view of downtown and the local artwork.

I love he atmosphere in here. A huge place with charger ports and every table. So it’s great for work ;). The employee that helped me was very friendly and funny. The coffee is great also! Love this place!

Mo’Joe’s is a fun little hipster and decent place to grab a snack, coffee, and catch up on some work while you’re at it. I went on a Monday afternoon and there were plenty of spaces to choose from. Being the extremely-sensitive-to-caffeine-type, I ordered the Colada tea. You wouldn’t think coconut/tropical flavor tea would be a thumbs up but I was pleasantly surprised. My only«eh» about Mo’Joe’s is the vibe. I just really didn’t feel like it was that cozy. Although they have a good amount of tables for group work and the like, the place felt cold and drab. I know they have a lot of fun and adventurous drinks to try so I will have to return and give em a whirl.

I’ve been here plenty of times and I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it yet. Great spot to do some homework, grab a bite or one of their unique beverages. It’s super convenient to park, the location is easy to find and the staff is very friendly. The only downside is, every time I go it seems that there is only one person working and it takes them forever to make drinks for that reason.

This is the perfect place to stop by for coffee to go, to meet a friend and hang out, or to find a corner and read. Always friendly, never disappointed, great coffee.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed yet! Mo’Joe’s is a local coffee house a mile from the center of IUPUI’s campus and a mile or two from Monument Circle, aka downtown Indy. They have great coffee(I enjoy the Ethiopian blend), $ 3 brownines, breakfast sandwiches, pre-made salads, and other snacks. There’s spacious seating with a blend of counters, tall tables, short tables, and couches. There’s a couple bulletin boards and plenty of space for flyers on the shelf near the entrance to help customers promote their events and stay updated on local happenings. Wifi is available. Also: special shout out to the employees. They are VERY sweet. Once I ordered a simple black coffee and then realized I left my wallet in my other bag. The guy working gave me a pass and told me to bring money the next time. I did, and left a big tip. Thank you!

Shoutout to Unilocalers Kim K. and Niki K.(not related haha) for recommending I check out this coffee shop! I’ve driven by and never noticed it before — how unfortunate! Find it conveniently off Capitol on Michigan Street — it even has its own parking lot with around 10 spots — unheard of downtown! I had no trouble getting a spot around 7:30 am. Right off the bat: this place is spacious! Two tops, couches, tables for groups — a great place to hunker down and get work done. I tried my first ever chai tea latte and really enjoyed it! I’m not much of a coffee/caffeine person but it hit the spot. Also, I forgot how much drinks can be… my(small!) latte with tip was $ 4.60. And some people do this everyday? Mo’Joe has free wi-fi but I’ve heard it can be spotty, so be warned.

This was one of my first stops when I moved to Indianapolis and it continues to be my favorite coffee shop. The drink selection is impressive and always a high quality with an impressive selection of fresh made baked goods on top of that. The atmosphere is the biggest plus for me, it has a laid back fun vibe with rotating art work on display.

The staff are very friendly and even made me a new latte when I spilled mine in the shop. It is in a convenient location for apartment tenants and marsh shoppers downtown. I had a slice of the potato sausage quiche and would definitely get it again!

Finally tried this place today because it is now on my way to work. I was impressed, but not blown away. I ordered the Zebra Latte and thought it was good. I like that the drink didn’t come out scalding so I could start drinking it right away. The latte was good. I love trying unique drinks at places so it was cool in my book but admittedly, a tad expensive. Overall I think Mo’Joe is a good stop for a caffeine pick me up every now and then but due to the pricing, I’ll only go occasionally. Next time, definitely trying the High Note — hot chocolate and espresso. Note: I can’t speak to the vibe of the coffee shop because I only grabbed the drink to go, but it seemed like a cute place and the couches in the middle made me think of Friends and Central Perk.

Great local place to grab a cup of coffee with some friends or relax with a book. I went here by recommendation from a friend, and I was not disappointed. Mo’Joe Coffeehouse has a relaxing, hip atmosphere — complete with multiple tables, couches, and an outdoor patio that’s great for warmer weather. I never felt like I was fighting for a table and it was the perfect place to spread out my homework(free Wi-fi, too!). Their menu has a great selection of coffee and espresso(even some pastries, beer, and wine if that’s what you’re looking for). I snagged a zebra latte while I was there — oh man was it good! Even better, Mo’Joes gets their coffee from a local Indianapolis roasting facility, Julian Coffee Roasters. I’m always in favor of local businesses supporting other local businesses! Plus it’s great knowing where your coffee is coming from. The only downside is the limited parking in front of the building. Regardless, I definitely recommend trying out Mo’Joe Coffeehouse next time you’re in the area. College students: this is the perfect place to get your caffeine-fix and it’s really close to IUPUI’s campus!

I am here on vacation with my family from Chicago. A little about me. I am a seasoned Software Engineer, in my late 30s. Let me tell you I have my own espresso machine at home and I’ve frequented MANY shops ranging from California to Chiago, to Seattle, to Indianapolis, Canada, Austin TX, and my list goes on and on. I’ve tasted many beans and pulls of coffee in the range of good, bad, and excellent. This coffee shop is nothing to rage about. I came here only because I like to work with my Macbook Pro and code(program) late at coffee shops because it’s fun, it’s productive, and it’s what these places are and should be all about… fun, tasty, and the hours. Unfortunately for some very odd reason, coffee shops in Indianapolis close freakin early as fuuuuuuk. Makes absolutely no sense at all to me given they are coffee shops! Let me start off by saying there is not a single most more annoying thing for a coffee shop than to have a bad wifi connection. The coffee could be crap but I could at least make up for it if a coffee shop has a decent connection. Part of the charm of a Coffee House is not only should you go there to enjoy good coffee, but for those of us who want to relax and do a little work or fun on the PC, you should expect not only a wi-fi connection but a fast connection. Today, it’s unacceptable to have a wi-fi connection where it’s ATT or something so slow that you are getting 1mbps or less especially in a coffee shop. The price of fast wi-fi is CHEAP. Carriers even for home at the least now are 15mbps. When you enter a business like this and you’re crawling viewing web pages, something is very wrong with the way it’s being run. I’m sitting here crawling to even get to Unilocal at Mo’s Coffee House. Being out of town, I’d expect that there be good coffee and a good fast connection. When I say fast all I am asking is at least 10mbps which today, falls way below the norm with even that kinda speed. I asked the owner is it always this slow, and he’s just shrugging his shoulders like wtf of course there’s a lot of people here. That’s a lame excuse. I’ve been in mom and pop coffee houses filled to the max and I’m not sitting waiting for pages to load and again especially when wifi speed by default is so fast from providers these days even for the most basic of packages. So the coffee here is «decent». It’s not something that will blow your mind which is even more the reason they need to supplement with tolerable wifi speed. So I’m giving this place 1 star due to the fact that the coffee is just average(I had a mocha). I literally came here to drink good coffee and work a bit, which is part of the charm of a good coffee house. There is nothing about this coffee that makes it an «awesome» quality pull. Unfortunately and lucky for them they’re the only coffee shop open after 8pm, so I guess their luck is here but I bet it runs out when other shops start to grow or new ones crop up. Times have changed, a coffee shop won’t last if they don’t get with the times and care about their in-house experience, not just can they brew coffee. In fact one final note. I had to refresh Unilocal in Chrome 2 – 3 times for the form to finally load for me to successfully be able to give this review in the first place here at Mo’s. I don’t think they realize how much business they are actually losing. I bet people are going to Starbucks(which is lousy BTW in coffee) left and right because Mo’s wifi is slower than my grandma. If I were a college student here, I’d be bitching up a storm to the owner here to get his act together and get a better wifi package. I don’t know how anyone can tolerate this. But again it’s the only shop in town open this late other than Starsucks… unfortunately. I will end by saying I hope this is not the best coffee shop in Indianapolis because if it is, this is sad. Hopefully next time my family and I visit later this year again, I get a chance to try other roasters in the area which I know there are several(unfortunately those other clueless di** wads are only open till like 5pm, shame on you… Christ you’re a coffee shop STAYTHE F OPENVERYLATE!).

I have rated Mo’Joe Coffeehouse 4 stars because I had an overall positive experience. There are just a few disappointments I faced after my experience. The atmosphere was comforting and casual. The outdoor tables appear to be wonderful for the summer time. The couches, although were in use, appeared to be comfy. I went at an unusual time, right before close, and therefore found a parking spot. However, if I came during their peak hours, I assume it would be difficult to find a spot because of the limited options. There were only about 10 that I know of. I ordered a small soy latte. Living with a metabolic disorder is tough, and it is hard to find a decent coffee place that offers soymilk(and is not Starbucks). I am very happy that this coffeehouse had soymilk! The additional price disappointed me though. I shouldn’t have to pay extra just because I am allergic to milk. I am happy that this place had a lot of options though. I added some pictures of my experience. I enjoyed this place a lot, and I’m sure I’ll be back to try something new with soymilk! :) IMG_5184.JPG

I want to give Mo’Joe Coffeehouse 5 stars but I just didn’t love the drinks I’ve had. I think I may like the idea of this place more than the place itself. I do think that it’s a great place to go and get some work down though. They have free wifi and lots of tables and outlets available for you to use. There are some outdoor tables for when the weather’s nice. It’s also a great place to catch up with a few friends. There are even several couches/couch chairs available for use. I’ve never sat in them but they look decently comfy. I’m not sure that this place is the best for people watching since it’s never that crowded and not a lot of people pass by on the streets. The employees have also all been very nice. There aren’t that many spots in their parking lot, maybe about 12. There are some metered spots across from Mo’Joe but if you look in the lot first, you would have to circle back around to get the spots in front of Marsh. I’ve tried the Mount Shasta Mint Green tea, which was decent. It was way too hot to drink and I had to wait 15 – 20 minutes before I could even sip it. Not necessarily a bad thing but just a heads up if you’re an impatient person. I have also tried the Lavender Hot Chocolate because of the suggestions on Unilocal.I was excited to try it because a) as a non-coffee drinker, hot chocolate is usually my go-to drink at coffeehouses and b) I tend to enjoy lavender as a flavor. It was the perfect temperature but ended up being way too sweet for my taste. I’m not sure if the barista just added too much chocolate syrup or if it was the lavender syrup’s fault. I definitely couldn’t take more than 3 or 4 sips at a time. I also could only taste a hint of lavender in the first few sips of my drink. After that, the sweetness just overpowered it. I plan on going back to try the regular hot chocolate to see if it’s the chocolate syrup that is the problem for me. They have a list of syrups that you can add to your drinks but it can only be found next to the cash register(I asked). For indecisive people like me, it’s very hard to make decisions when you’re already at the cash register. Luckily, I’ve always been here at a time where no one lined up after me so I could take my time. I took a picture for my own reference and to share with all you fellow Unilocalers. They also have a list of teas that are located on the counter to the right of the register. I think it was in one of those acrylic/plastic sign holders and wasn’t the most noticeable. Their website’s ‘Menu’ page is also pretty unhelpful; I recommend just going to look at the menu yourself until someone posts a better picture of their chalkboard.
