Yes, yes, yes!!! I have yet to find a really good coffee place in Indy until now! They are helpful, kind, and loveable! I was sitting near eating my lunch when I saw a steady stream of people coming to them. This helped me to make my decision to try them out. I am glad I did! They had a solid choice of options and and very talkative to be able to help you decide. I was truly impressed on how they handled my order. The biggest drink they sell is 12 oz. I got a French vanilla latte in which they combined vanilla and hazelnut flavoring to go. It was deliciously wonderful. After I checked out I couldn’t help to notice the girl behind me was indecisive(psh I don’t blame her!). They were very relaxed with the customer and helped her. They had put in her order then even changed it for her last minute. That is some wonderful service!

One of my favorite coffee shops in downtown. Definitely worth trying if you are near City Market.

Quality espresso in a nice location upstairs at city market. I ordered an espresso con panna(espresso with whipped cream). The coffee was strong and thick and fragrant. I had an awesome Turkish coffee at a Mediterranean restaurant in Fishers — this espresso was similar in its strong flavor and aroma but just slightly bitter and fruity. I’m glad I tried it, though.
Oh, MAN, this is good stuff. The upper mezzanine of City Market has really been in need of some reinvention, and Mile Square rounds out the presence of Tomlinson nicely. While there are plenty of existing coffee vendors in the market district, Mile Square really steps the game up a few notches. I’m hard-pressed to find a more careful, flavorful, full-bodied brew in the city. The owners are the type of people who make you want to actively talk about every facet of the coffee, which is ideal conversation for the City Market building, and I learn something just by making a purchase. I’m looking forward to seeing more around the clock activity upstairs with Mile Square around. One of my biggest gripes with City Market is that so much of the activity is confined to the lunch rush. WIth Tomlinson, Mile Square, better furniture and Wi-Fi, this building could be a center of community life again.

Oh hey… someone besides Tomlinson remembered there’s a second floor to the City Market Building and is starting to use it for commercial space. Awesome! I spend my Saturday morning’s down at City Market, usually stopping in for a croissant or a acai bowl and a coffee. Now that Mile Square is around, my coffee comes in the form of an Americano from Mile Square. Great service from people who take their coffee seriously. They grind the beans. They weigh the beans, they time the pour, and they make sure the water is at the perfect 195’ish degrees. I kind of feel like I’m insulting them when I add my Splenda into my cup, slosh it around without measuring or timing my stir, and suck it down. Yeah, that’s one great cup of joe! In addition to great hot or cold coffees, check out the daily selection of Rocket 88 donuts or grab a biscotti for a little something sweet!

Best espresso in town. I get one twice a week and usually grab a drip coffee to go for my staff. Qualities that make their espresso great are knowledgeable staff, excellent crema, proper water temp in the machine, porcelain espresso cup, & nicely roasted beans.

I’m already a big fan of mile square, but with an actual location, I’m so happy to not have to chase a truck around the city! Their expanded capacity to make espresso drinks was one thing I was excited about, and after having my first latte, they did not disappoint. I’m really looking forward to returning and trying coffee flights. I was excited to hear that on Saturdays, they’ll be having coffee flights and Rocket 88 doughnuts!

Woohoo! Welcome to City Market! I frequent the City Market probably every Saturday, and love to try out all of the new places. The coffee here is amazing, and their selection is broad enough for even a tea-lover. I ordered just the normal pour over-Guatemalan. It was just as they described, chocolate-y and full-bodied. My boyfriend got their bottled cold brew, and we both agreed it was better than Starbucks(what?!). We also got a shot of espresso to split and it was frothy and delish. And honestly I am not even an espresso person. They have a wide selection of vegan doughnuts that looked amazing, but we were getting food elsewhere so decided to pass. All in all, I left my day feeling the coffee jitters and on a City Market high. Thanks Mile Square Coffee!

Dagnabbit, Katie U beat me to the punch for first to review ;) Couldn’t have said it better myself. Mile Square has added a fun, leisurely vibe to the upper mezzanine of City Market. Tomlinson Tap now has company thanks to this local coffee roastery with sweets like biscotti and scones. In addition to an overall beautiful feel, Mile Square is taking coffee presentation to the next level with wooden boards that display espresso the way it is typically served in Europe. Seating is plentiful given that the whole upper level of the market is at their disposal. Be prepared: this coffee packs a serious punch. Bring on the sweats, etc. Support a new biz and mark Mile Square as your next meeting location!

Couldn’t be more thrilled to support Mile Square on its opening day in its new space at City Market! You can find them on the second floor right across from Tomlinson Tap Room. What sets businesses apart for me is the owners. When a local business owner is passionate about their product and community and make an effort to personally know the customers, you’ve stumbled upon a winner. Trace and his team fit the bill! I cannot thank them enough for their kind and generous hospitality. Pick up a bag of roasted Mile Square beans or order a hot beverage, like a macchiato or chai spice latte. They serve the Italian espresso shot authentically with a side of sparkling water to cleanse the palette! Satisfy your sweet tooth with some biscotti or a scone. Trace explained they designed the counter space to make it look like it would 100 years ago to match the vibe of the City Market. It does feel like an old-time counter! Next time you’re in City Market, take your food upstairs and enjoy a cup of java from the kind Mile Square folks. You won’t regret it!
