While writing a review of another piece of art, I was reminded of a couple of awesome works hanging in my very own home. Kyle is a talented artist as well as a very nice guy. The next time you’re looking for works by local artists, stop into the Harrison Center and visit his studio. Save up some bucks ahead of time because his art is not cheap. Of course, quality seldom is!

I stumbled across a Kyle Ragsdale painting a few years ago and fell in love. I then poured through the beautiful pictures on his website, and visited a few of his shows at the Harrison Center. The Harrison Center, by the way, is an awesome place to visit for any opening, or during a First Friday Art Tour. Over time, we have since purchased two of his paintings and could not be happier. I’m definitely glad I made my purchases while his work was still«affordable» for us.

Kyle Ragsdale, a well known Indy artist, keeps his studio in the old northside’s Harrison Center. Kyle is one of the most prolific painters in the city, and not only is seen at individual and group shows throughout the city, he also has art work hung on the walls of several area business, notabl in restaurants such as Yat’s and Zest. An abstract painter with a unique perspective on the human form, Kyle constantly produces work that has its own style, but also continues to remain unique across his line of work. Also a part time musician, Kyle performed in the group Emory Salem(not sure if they are still performing together). Be sure to check out the next show at the Harrison Center(a great place to support, by the way), for example, the annual Independent Art + Music Fest(IMAF) that takes place every June. Look for Kyle and if you have an art budget, grab up a piece for your home, office or business.
