Okay! So first off my husband and I would give the food four stars. We got the appetizer sampler and both ordered burgers – I got the Denver Omelette Burger and added avocado, he got the Mega Monster Cheeseburger and added bacon. It was all very tasty, but we had a few issues along the way. The IHOP website advertises that from June 6th to July 31st they will offer free refills on fries with the purchase of a burger. We thought that was great and we asked the server about it before ordering, and she said that was fine. AFTER we ordered, she came back and said the manager told her«they forgot to update the website» and they couldn’t give us the free refills which the website advertised. I asked for clarification, but the same explanation was repeated. So I switched to hash browns, my husband kept his order the same. The food arrived – no bacon on his burger, and we were given salsa instead of marinara with our sampler, but they quickly remedied both of those issues and did not charge us for bacon or extra ranch with our sampler. Bonus points, good customer service there. Payment for our dinner was simple enough – use the rest of the balance on an IHOP gift card, and pay the difference with a VISA gift card. I explained this at the register, but somehow we got charged $ 19.57 on the Visa AND $ 25 on our IHOP gift card. Very confusing why this happened, the shift manager tried to fix it but we’re still waiting to see if the transaction updates and fixes itself. If not we’ll have to call the store and try again when the general manager is there. All in all, the food was good, waitress was average, but the inability to fulfill an advertised promotion and the experience we had while paying makes this a 3 star review.

10 people and every order was wrong… I told the waitress fresh blueberries not compote Egg whites and fruit . I got compote, bacon, hash browns. If your ordering off the menu it maybe ok.

Visited here with about 15 people for a birthday celebration. I had never eaten there before. The waiter had the best smile and was so patient with our large group. I ordered the sirloin medallions and it was delicious. I didn’t expect such a fantastic meal from a pancake spot lol. The menu was extensive!

I have never been disappointed by an IHOP until visiting this location. Not only did an order for two people take 25 minutes in a quarter full restaurant, but both of our meals were incorrect. I sent mine back, and 15 minutes later I got yet another wrong meal. Our server was kind and smiley, but gave us the wrong drinks and rang up our check incorrectly as well. When I asked for the manager at the cashiers stand, I was questioned why and given blank looks like nothing wrong happened after I explained everything. The manager acted like we were inconveniencing him, but eventually removed one of our meals off the check(still leaving other incorrect charges on it). We accepted that and left, but will never be back. I would strongly urge anyone considering visiting this IHOP location to go elsewhere.

I’ve never been a true fan of IHOP, as I consider myself a breakfast/burger enthusiast, however our server Norma gave is EXCELLENT customer service and was very professional. Despite the time of day(11ish), we were seated in about 5 minutes. It’s a large building so my guess is there is rarely much of a wait. Impressed!

½ star actually. Stopped early on weekend day. Everything seemed fine. Waitress took order. Three other employees came to say our waitress was sick but our order was in. After an employee shouting episode at the main entrance another person came and apologized for the disturbance. 40 minutes passed and another waitress came to our table to say our order wasn’t placed. So We got out of there. Obviously wasn’t welcome at this ihop. Will never go back. Coffee and water was fine.

Food takes too long to be prepared even with few customers. The drink cups are small and the wait staff check on customers infrequently, resulting in often empty drinks. The food is good but pricey for the what you get. The stuffed French toast is a small portion, but just as expensive as a large amount of pancakes.

Seated Quickly. Had to get my own highchair and booster seat. Server got our drink order and drinks out. After 30 minutes of waiting after we ordered with 2 children under 4 the food came. Everyone elses food was apparently good but my waffle was unreasonably cold with a big scoop of unmelted butter stuck to it. I told the server and he offered to heat it up. I don’t do microwaves especially at a restaurant so I said no. What I wanted was a new waffle but was not given the option instead the server said he would get the manager. 20 min later when all the rest of the food was done he asked if we were ok. I reminded him of my waffle and then he got the manager. By then it was too late. I never got to eat.

Horrible, slow service. Waited FORTYMINUTES for our order during a time that was definitely NOT busy. Waitress was scarcely available. Waited an additional TENMINUTES for my pancake side to come out(by which I was already done with my meal.) Needless to say, won’t be back.

I have read the reviews posted here and I couldn’t DISAGREE more about service. We go to the IHOP on W. 38th Street. The best servers(of the ones we have had) are Leslie, Paige, Al and Laura. They make sure we get our food within a reasonable amount of time and return several times to make sure everything is okay. We have been going there for quite a while and we have been very pleased with the food and the service.

I’m currently sitting at this location and have been for the last 20 minutes. Without a server to stop by our table, nor anyone to see how we are doing. I’m highly disappointed and won’t be coming back. If you decide to go here, please consider going to another restaurant before hand to eat something.

The food was surprisingly good, but the service was terrible. They had two guys working on serving our table yet we didn’t get a refill till we flagged someone down. By the time he got them to us we were finished eating. Bad experience!

Nothing extraordinary about it. Its another IHOP. If you need a greesy breakfast or brunch then yeah go to IHOP. But I have to admit, they’re trying to market the healthy menus, but it still tastes the same — oily.

Terrible service. Took over an hour to get our food and an extra ten minutes to get silverware. Food was decent but we won’t be going back again ever. Then they wouldn’t take our coupon because it had to be printed. What year is it?

Shitty service, but that’s to be expected at a place like IHop. I guess if I had to work 3rd shift on a Sunday night I’d be grumpy, too. Our waitress dropped by the table maybe three times to ask«Everything OK?» and then would walk away before we could ask for… clean silverware, refills on drinks, ketchup, hot sauce, or our missing order of eggs. Sigh. And yet… the food was actually better than I expected. They have a half dozen items that are under 500 calories. My pancakes were light and fluffy, my egg substitute scramble was decent, and the turkey bacon wasn’t half bad. In closing, if it’s 3 in the morning and you are too far from home to cook breakfast, why not?

Okay, I’m surprised to give 5 stars. But it’s deserved. Went to this IHOP on a late Sunday morning expecting crowds, chaos, and bad service, since, well, it’s IHOP on W 38th. I was pleasantly surprised! First, it wasn’t busy(thank you Colts game) and while we felt forgotten about in the beginning, we soon learned that some staffing issue must have happened and the«new» server along with the manager came alerting us to our«new» server who was also kind enough to tell us where her station area was in case we needed her for anything, which we never did because her service was wonderful and her name was Amber. Food came out fast and hot, drinks never were near empty, and dirty dishes would disappear before we could even notice we had them. So a situation that could have gone wrong went so right! Who knew! Keep it up IHOP, I am hoping to make this location my new go-to.
