First Watch was clean and the service was super fast. The coffee was great and I love that they leave a glass jar of water at your table. I had the Swisshroom omelette with potatoes. The omelette was good, but the potatoes were kind of bland. My husband had the French toast Monte Cristo. To quote him«that’s where it’s at!» I think that means he liked it! Good place for a quick, sit down breakfast.

Really didn’t like it. Me or my mom. Got a hash and an omelette — rubbery and bland. Not gonna come back.

My go too place for breakfast. Very reasonable priced for what you get.(Don’t expect Dennie’s but the quality is far superior and also healthier.). Service has always been top notch. The place is very clean and I can’t say enough good about the staff. This is my go to place for a quick breakfast, especially this location.

You have places that successfully attempt to recreate the standard eggs and hash browns and those that do not. This is a place that doesn’t really do anything special to warrant a better review. The service on both occasions has been slow with my potatoes actually being cold in some spots. It’s a pretty restaurant, but my compliments end there. Patachou is undeniably the force to compete with.

Came here for Mother’s Day brunch today — luckily missed the brunch rush hours and didn’t have a wait. After taking our drink order, our serve didn’t return for a good 15 minutes as we saw him leaning against the hostess counter and talk with his coworkers. I ordered the avocado toast, which is my usual, with sunny side up eggs and a side of «seasoned potatoes.» After we got our food, we quickly realized that we didn’t have the potatoes and notified our server. He then brought the potatoes which looked like they had been steamed in a bag with zero seasoning. So we sent them back and asked for them to be browned and seasoned. Another 15 minutes went by and by then we were almost finished with our food… still no potatoes, so we just asked the server to cancel them. Luckily the avocado toast was good, per usual, which is why this review gets 3 stars instead of 2.

Great coffee, with fast friendly service. We had the BLT, pancakes, hash and burrito. All were excellent!

Good quality, fresh, made to order food. Random but im not sure why I’ve been walking past this place so much for some reason i thought it was like a panera bread. Anyway i dig this place! for the quality of food and great service at this downtown indy location its no reason not to come when ive waited longer for food at a fast food spot. I came in on my first visit literally minutes before closing and was not turned away. the service or the food was not lacking either. They have it all especially alot of healthy options and juices. Thanks to discovering on Unilocal im a new customer

They were out of the Kale Tonic. Ho hum. I was looking forward to that as an apéritif. Ordered the breakfast with bacon, English muffin, scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes. Good meal, as ordered.

So I’m looking for something to eat after church that is kid friendly because yeah, I have a kid with me. Wife wants breakfast, I want food, kid will take whatever, if she eats anything. Sunday afternoonish with the early morning crowd rolling in/out womens final four in town, wait was 10 min or so. I’ve eaten at the 86th location before and never had any complaints so decided the downtown site would be the same. Wife ordered the works omelet, loaded with all things meat, salsa, sour cream, I got the avocado/egg whole grain toast combo, kid got the hamwich included fresh OJ. Everything was pretty good, avocado big and chunky was the winner, bottomless coffee, I drank two cups. Pretty easy to eat clean here, food came out super quick, a word to our waitress Lisa, what a sweetheart, she took this up a whole star with her demeanor and attitude. Portions, reasonable price, and variety make first watch a place I’ll hit up again.

I really, REALLY love the Reuben and the salads. The meat is sliced thin and not fatty on the Reuben and possibly steamed before frying the sandwich? It’s probably my favorite Reuben in town. Salads just feel like a fresh garden. Tasty and they aren’t stingy on all the components. Service though, as others have noted, is not always the best. I get that they’re busy at lunch but the last time I went in for something to go(which was ready in decent time, no complaints there) I was given the wrong salad for my «you choose two» order. I’d also forgotten I wanted a drink and although the cashier is not responsible for reminding anyone they’re thirsty, I’d liked her to have asked if I wanted a drink so I wouldn’t have had to stop at the CVS next door to get something.

First watch is your basic quick stop brunch place. The service is always quick. The coffee is mediocre. Go for the day glow juice instead! It is extremely refreshing. I like first watch because they offer many different healthy options. Definitely a wider variety of choices as opposed to a pancake house. But you can get pancakes if you want them too! I usually stick with the omlets. I like this location because it is centrally located downtown and the staff is always professional.

The first time I came here it was for lunch. The most recent time was for breakfast. On a Saturday morning at approximately 9 a.m. it was not very busy. Our waitress was attentive and we always had enough coffee(very important). I love the menu because most of the items aren’t too heavy. For breakfast I got the fruit crepes covered with yogurt, which came with a muffin. These were delicious! I can tell you that I will want to come back for these. My husband got the avocado toast. WOW! That alone was worth 5 stars. I want to know where they find their avocados?! My dad got one of the hash meals and my mom got oatmeal with marinated berries. It was all great and very reasonably priced. Everyone was happy with what they got and would return.

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant I was welcomed with I warm smiles and me and my boyfriend had the best breakfast ever for under 22 bucks. I am so happy. I love Indianapolis. I wish we had a First Watch in Louisville

Was pretty quiet on a Friday morning at 8:15. Great menu selection. I opted for the market hash. It was tasty. Some potatoes were a little under, but I still say I have never met a potato I don’t like. Service was attentive and friendly. We even got coffees to go! Can’t wait to go back again and try something with meat.

You can’t go wrong with First Watch. This location is conveniently located downtown, just a block off Monument Circle and catty-cornered to the OneAmerica building. I was lucky enough to snag a parking spot right out front — how often does that happen? The interior is just like the other locations. The service was phenomenal — I was meeting someone for lunch and the waitress came as soon as she saw my guest arrive. Food was out in a jiffy and there was no wait to pay at the counter! I went with the pesto chicken quinoa bowl which was delicious and filled me up for the afternoon(a rarity). Next time, I have my eyes on the avocado toast.

I decided to take my mom to breakfast at First Watch. I usually go to the Carmel location. This was my first trip to the downtown location. Ashley was our server. She was extremely patient. My mom was a little indecisive. It was her first time here. I ordered the works omelette. First off the coffee here is awesome. They leave a pot at your table. They also use raw sugar, instead of white sugar. Plus they also have flavored creamers. The food was fast. We both ordered the works omelette. It was one of the best omelettes I have ever had. My mom was extremely impressed. I understand this is a chain, but the product is extremely consistent. I’m looking forward to my return visit.

I’m not a frequent brunch-er, usually because there aren’t many options for me(not eating eggs, meat or gluten pretty much knocks out the entire menu). With this restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised! They are very accommodating to any dietary needs. I ordered the Market Hash sans the poached eggs, and it was delicious. Well seasoned potatoes, a nice blend of vegetables, and an added punch with goat cheese. I also had a side of fruit, and since I forgoed the eggs, the server graciously threw in another side – free! The ambiance is quite comforting, except if you’re seated outside it can get a bit busy with all the suits walking to and fro; however, no one will invade your bubble. The staff is friendly, and they also have a birthday reward club which gives you a free meal on your birthday!

Walked here from my hotel and I was pleased. It was busy but I got sat immediately and the hostess was extremely friendly. I got the Floridian French toast because of the pictures and reviews on here. I was really excited and yes it was yummy and the fruit was amazing BUT the French toast was cold =*[ I didn’t feel like complaining or sending it back because I hate doing that so I just tried to eat it real fast. Bummer.

I hit this joint up with Dorothy back in March. I’ve been a terrible Unilocaler this year but I’m trying to catch up! I had the BLT and coffee. Our service was great and I enjoyed my sandwich. I was hoping to get the avocado spread on wheat toast that Dorothy had been bragging to me about BUUUT they had taken it off the specials list. Sad times! It looked amazing. Bring it back! Anyway — I do think this is a cute little spot for brunch. I prefer Ruth’s which is JUST down the way(like they are neighbors — same parking lot) for it’s more local feel. This felt more like a Waffle House to me but cleaner.

I love all kinds of food, probably more than I should, but breakfast is by far my favorite meal of the day. When I was recently in Indianapolis, my family and I were looking for a quick, delicious and cheap breakfast spot near downtown. I hopped on Unilocal and(selfishly) typed«Eggs Benedict» into the search bar to find the best Indianapolis had to offer. First Watch was one of the first results and we barely finished looking at the online menu before we were out the door. Upon arriving, the first thing that struck me about the restaurant was how much it reminded me of Eat ‘n Park — a popular diner-style restaurant back home in Pittsburgh. Everything from the décor to the cheerful employees was strikingly similar. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn’t too busy even though it was prime breakfast time during a popular race weekend. I had eyed up the Turkey and Avocado Eggs Benedict on the online menu, but to my dismay it was not currently available in the restaurant. Instead, I opted for the Ham and Tomato Eggs Benedict, which comes with an order of breakfast potatoes. Our waitress offered us a variety of juices, coffee and tea, of which I selected the latter. I noticed that she never brought us waters, even though there were glasses for it on the table and other guests had a carafe on their table. This is where ½ of a star was lost. I was pleased that she offered tea, and provided a wide variety of green teas upon request, but the absence of water was disappointing. She only came to check on us one time and by that point we had already finished our meals and were ready for the check. About the dish itself, it was good though not the best Eggs Benny I’ve ever had. I loved the combination of the ham and tomato, but the egg was a tad under-poached and rather runny, almost inedible on my plate. I managed to pick around it and eat mostly the ham, tomato and English muffin before throwing in the cloth napkin. The under-poached egg is where the other half star was lost. It was obvious that the egg could’ve been cooked even a few more seconds, and I was honestly surprised that they served it as-is. Overall it was a good meal, the prices were great, and I would definitely visit again. To my surprise, there are two First Watch locations near me in Pittsburgh, so I’ll definitely give one of those a shot to see if they A) have the elusive Turkey and Avocado Eggs Benedict and B) if I can have a more EGG-CELLENT poached egg experience. I’ll see myself out.
