Let me start off by saying that there aren’t too many Blimpie sandwich shops around anymore. I had to look at Blimpie’s website to find the location closest to where I work, and was willing to drive 15 minutes one way to enjoy these hard-to-find sandwiches. The Blimpie off Madison Ave. is owned and operated by a very friendly husband and wife team. They greet every customer as they walk through the door and are very accommodating. When I go to this location, which is always at the height of weekday lunchtime, the place is nearly deserted. Do people not like Blimpie anymore, or is this a bad location? I can’t figure it out, but it’s a quiet respite if you want to get away from the office for a bit. The ingredients seem pretty fresh, and I’ve always been satisfied with what I’ve ordered. One minor complaint: the Sicilian panini showed that it came with creamy Italian dressing. The woman making my sandwich put on Kraft Creamy Italian salad dressing straight from the bottle. My sandwich seemed to lose a little magic after seeing that, but I managed to devour it nonetheless, and I will go back to this location again.

So disappointed. The subs are terrible. Tough pre cooked meat, taken out of the fridge then microwaved and slapped on bread and then cold cheese put on top of that. Awful. Cookies, doughy, no taste. First and last time at this place.
