NOTE: this is a general review of Banana Republic, the entire company. Please scroll to the bottom to see my comments on the BR store at the Keystone Mall. Banana Republic, what has happened to you? Well, I guess I know what has happened to you – you got bought out by the Gap and have gone over to the dark side, i.e. «fast fashion» where garment workers in developing nations work in terrible conditions to churn out cheap clothes by the thousands that you sell and sell and sell and make a tiny profit per item on a big volume of sales. I’m truly sad at what you and practically all of the fashion industry has become – pushers of low quality, fast turnover clothing that fades, shrinks, or falls apart after a few wears. I was especially appalled by a recent online order I received – trouser jeans that looked tacky and frumpy, with dye that rubbed off everywhere. There were style elements to them that indicated you were at least pretending to make something fashionable and wearable. But you can’t fool me. I know you tried to cheap out and I could see it in the details(fabric, construction, hardware). And I see it every time I walk in your store – cheap fabric blends and low quality elements. I wish that you hadn’t sold your soul to the devil back in the day. I can barely look at your«heritage» line without wanting to puke at your fakey attempt to go back to your roots. You’re as bad as that abomination known as Abercrombie and Fitch. At least you haven’t turned into the porno version of the Gap like they have, but it’s hard deciding which of you is worse. Is it better to burn out or fade away? As for the Banana Republic store in the Keystone Mall, it is nice in terms of retail experiences. The workers are, for the most part, pleasant and helpful, and the store is well organized.

It’s Banana Republic, so you know what to expect. Doesn’t appear to have the selection, the attractive displays or the friendly staff as the Circle Center store, though.

One of my favorite stores at Keystone Crossing; always great style offerings and usually good sale promotions are available. The staff is very attentive and helpful, they will assist you without being pushy like other fashion stores. However, I’m left wanting more of a men’s section like the Circle Center location downtown… But, I’ll always drop by to see what they have.

HUGE womens section… mens section leaves something to be desired. They always have great sales. If you’re an educator or student, be sure to show your school ID for an additional discount(I think it’s an extra 15%. You can also combine with sales and promotions). Three star rating because there is not a huge mens selection.
