I despise this place. The service is horrible and the workers are lazy. We had issues getting a crib after we had called 2 times and were told it was in stock. We arrive only to find out the crib is out of stock. Manager informed us that our employees are lazy, they generally don’t check, just say it is in stock’. This caused us a lot of heartache and wasted a lot of time. Ultimately we found another crib, but it wasn’t the one we initially wanted. Their pricing is a pain… coupon for this, promo price for this. I always feel like I’ve been ripped off unless I spend an hour searching for coupons online before I go to the store

«Babies don’t need a vacation, but I still see them at the beach… it pisses me off! I’ll go over to a little baby and say ‘What are you doing here? You haven’t worked a day in your life!’» –Steven Wright They also don’t need to shop, but I still see them here, bossing their parents around. Alas, I will be one of those parents in two short months. I never realized an unborn baby could be so expensive. The little thing isn’t even here yet and we have already dropped the equivalent of this year’s allowable IRA contribution at this store and others. The products and service here are OK. About average. Sign up for their rewards program and get 20% off coupons that you can’t use on half of the products in the store.

While Babies R Us might be a «respectable» national chain, their return policies are borderline theft, so check those before you buy anything here. They will also invent«fine print» that does not actually exist on a coupon or special offer — buyer beware. In terms of this particular store, the staff are abnormally curt and/or distracted. On my first visit to the store to make a special order a manager asked me if he could help, and then said he would ask another employee to do so. That employee showed up while still on the phone with another customer! The second dealing I had with the store was when the employee called to notify my order was in. She spoke so quickly on the message that it was almost impossible to tell what she was saying, and if the number wasn’t listed online I would not have been able to call back(it was left so quickly as to be unintelligible). When I did call back that same employee was curt, unprofessional, and downright rude, sounding as if my phone call had put her out. My third, and final if I can help it, experience with this store was when I actually went to pick up my special order, a $ 400+ purchase I might add. The person at the customer service desk was downright unfriendly and when we asked about an intracacy related to a store policy her response was to read the broad policy off of the sign in front of the desk. Between these three employees I felt as if Babies R Us actually doesn’t even care for my business! My advice is to go somewhere else, even another Babies R Us store in the Indy area!

Pretty cool baby store on the south side of Indianapolis(Greenwood area). I have a friend who is having a baby and I accompanied her to a Baby Shower Planning Event they had there this past weekend. Wasn’t horribly impressed with the event itself, but the store was great. Was a little disappointed that I could not find some of the stuff I have been looking at online… like a Moses basket and other items that can be bought online but not found anywhere in Indianapolis… I was hoping that an exclusively baby store would furnish such items that you cannot find elsewhere… which they do to an extent. They had plenty of comfy rockers and beautiful baby dresser and bed sets along with TONS of adorable strollers and bedding. Even carried some cute maternity clothes… emphasis on the SOME there… but was surprised at what we could not find when we were there… like bathing suits for the mom to be and that sort of thing. Where are the über-cute baby/maternity stores in Indianapolis?
