They’re open through the growing season which means July-January. They make cider continuously from first apple harvest through January. Fantastic local apple cider from Adrian Orchards! We go every fall — every fall — and we have their cider every year. Apples are the star of the show, but it’s not just apples — they’ve got lots of other stuff.

The apple cider is to die for. Just make sure to buy a big jug or let the little ones thaw if too frozen to fully enjoy. Be sure to grab the Carmels at the checkout, best I’ve had! If you can hit nectarine season, get a bunch of them… These are the best nectarines Ive had in life!!! A secret southside Indy treasure!

I love this place. Can’t wait for the golden delicious apples to be ready. I have yet to be disappointed by the apples purchased here — great value. The other produce is a little expensive, but high quality. So easy to get to from downtown.

Wasn’t a huge fan. Not an actual orchard, i.e. you can’t pick apples. I was hoping for the full-on apple picking experience. Their website is unhelpful, and we called to ask and no one answered or called us back. On a positive note, they had a nice selection of pumpkins and gave my niece hers free since it was her first one. We also bought a bunch of yummy apples, indian corn, and some fall décor. Still a fun experience, but next year we’ll go somewhere where we can actually pick our own apples. PS — their cider was good, but served cold! Hot cider is where it’s at. Also, their apple cider donut was coated in a thick glaze which I personally think takes away from the cider flavor… just my 2 cents.

When fall starts to roll around, one thought always crosses my mind: When can get to Adrian Orchards and buy apple cider? For me, that time came today and I bought my first gallon of apple cider this season. Quite simply, this is the best cider a person can buy in the city. Every year I look forward to a cup of apple cider from Adrian Orchards and I’ve never been disappointed and I’ve been coming here a long, long time. Try a cup, you won’t be disappointed. In addition to the cider, Adrian has a shop full of jams, jellies, preserves, apple butter and so on. The products in the shop all carry the Adrian Orchards label. I often buy their apple jelly when it is available. In addition to the products in the shop, Adrian has a small patch of pumpkins growing near the parking lot and allow customers to pick their own pumpkin. Judging by the number of families in the patch today, the pumpkins were a big hit. Pay a visit before the cider is gone. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

When I think of orchards, I think of the country. Driving for miles and miles down long country roads until you come to a long and dusty driveway with rows and rows of apple trees surrounding the place. If this is what you think of too, think again. Adrian Orchards is just a short drive from downtown and less than a mile outside the 465 loop. That’s right you urban dweller you. fresh pressed apple cider is just a 20 minute drive from Monument Circle during the apple season. Arriving shortly after 4pm on a Sunday afternoon(they close at 5), the parking lot only had one or two spots open. Pay careful attention to your GPS. it’s in a residential neighborhood and it’s easy to pass if you aren’t looking for it. The shop sits off the road behind some homes, and while it’s small, it’s got everything those rural places have, minus the drive. Need a pumpkin? How about permission pulp? Jams, jellies and butters? They’ve got them all, plus a nice selection of spices and rubs. I think I even saw some local produce(green beans maybe?) as I was trying to make it down the tiny aisles that were packed full of people. I picked up a couple gallons of apple cider, gourds for seasonal decorating, and a butternut squash for about $ 20. I also saved a half tank of gas! If you’re familiar with the local phenomenon known as Apple Buzz, a beer brewed by nearby Oaken Barrel(Greenwood), you know that the cider that makes this amazing brew comes from Adrians Orchard. For those of you who don’t know what Apple Buzz is. forget I said anything about it. It goes so fast that they’ll probably be out of it before you get there. The cider is what makes it so magical, and for I tip my hat to you Mr and Mrs Adrian.

Kinda small and in the middle of an encroaching housing development, but the cider is wonderful as are the caramel apples.

Blink and you might just fly past Adrian Orchards. Smack in the middle of older and newer residential additions, this orchard really crams a lot into the land it occupies. A small apple orchard, pumpkin patch and barn all beckon you to take a break from harried city life without really leaving the metropolis. Adrian’s presses their own cider in the fall and it is delicious! We also picked up some Macintosh apples during our visit — several of them did not make it home — the spicy, juicy handfuls were just too darn good to resist! Since we were on our way to eat lunch, we did not pick up any other treats, but the carmel apples tempted us. Also, on the day of our visit, two ladies were outside the barn cooking up fried biscuits with apple butter, brats and hot dogs. This is not something I’ve seen done at other local orchards, but what a great idea! Adrian apparently does not do the«U Pick» thing, but does provide excellent customer service. This is a great place to take the kids, especially around pumpkin-selecting time. The folks here have been growing fruit and other select produce for 83 years… that says something about their commitment to quality!
