Great food, great service and a friendly atmosphere. Our family is in the process of relocating from Los Angeles to Melbourne and my wife was introduced to Scott’s. From the first night on, she has felt like family. She took me there for dinner on Saturday night and I found the food to be top notch. Scott seems to travel the globe with what is on the menu but everything I ate was spot on. Crab bisque was thick with crap, shrimp escargot was nuclear hot but very tasty. Had to ask for more bread to soak up the juices. I had the Tuscan rib eye and it was seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. My wife asked Scott to just make her whatever he wanted to and it was a lovely piece of red snapper. Desert was spectacular too. While the prices are probably up there for Melbourne, they are about average for the same type of restaurant. We have found our replacement special dinner out location for our new home in Melbourne. Thank you Scott, Pepper, Amy and Jose. I look forward to coming in again when I return full time in July. Brian and Marci

Décor is horrendous(very tacky) and food is not fresh or cooked properly. Then again, how do you properly cook bad food to begin with! Amy, our waitress should work somewhere else, she was much too good for this place! Do not waste your time or money!

Last night was my first time dining at Scott’s on Fifth. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, although there were other issues. There was a smell permeating the restaurant that smelled as though they had used too much disinfectant in the bathroom, which bothered me for most of the evening. I ordered the salmon as my main course and expected to receive a nice piece of fish, but instead received bits and pieces of salmon on top of my rice. Although it tasted fine, I thought it was a less than acceptable presentation for a main course dinner.

Scott’s was recommended to my wife and I and I must say we were very dissapointed. Service was excellent. But gin and tonic was weak although we asked for Tanquary it tasted like well gin. Stuffed shrimp tasted old and like iodine. Sent it back. Lobster ravioli looked dark and didn’t have much taste although passable. All in all a bad experience. Way too pricey for the quality of the food. Avoid this place

Eat desert first! Oh my! The coconut ice cream was THEBESTTHING I’ve ever put in mouth! OK and everything else was pretty wonderful too, including outstanding service When the requested bottle of wine wasn’t available, an upgraded bottle arrived and we were happy diners. Our party of 4 ordered completely different entrees and all were divine. Additionally, Scott dropped by our table so we were able to compliment the Chef. It’s intimate — only 12 tables and btw it looks like Liberace decorated, but don’t be distracted, there is a notable art collection to be admired.

When my husband surprised me for a dinner date at Scott’s, my first reaction was — you did GOOD! This quaint, personal, boutique-like restaurant dons original artwork, colorful chandeliers, an exotic wine list, and stellar service. Although the menu wasn’t as extensive as you are used to, the specials menu will knock your socks off! I felt like I would be eating art! We ended up choosing the crab cake, filet, and crème brûlée — all just AMAZING! Every moment from when we walked in, to giving the owner/chef a hug to thank him was absolutely perfect. If you like great food, amazing service, and a intimate, unique atmosphere, you will absolutely LOVE this place! One of my new favorites :)) Happy Wife, Happy Life

Enjoyed dinner very much and the service was excellent. The only problem is the strange smell that is hard to miss.

Had dinner here the other night and I really enjoyed the quality of service they offer. To start I enjoyed their asian inspired soup. It was simple, tasty, with a touch of heat sealed the deal for me. The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked and very tasty. I found the sauce it was paired with to be the weak link of this dish. Dessert was their old fashioned sundae which was very good. Dessert seemed limited to too many ice cream dished though. It would have been nice to see some baked goods. All in all, a very good experience.

I’ll start out saying Scott’s On Fifth was one of my favorite local restaurants. It’s one of the very few places in the area that consistently has both fantastic food and top notch service. You can count on fresh, creatively prepared seafood(and more), and servers that make you and your party feel not only well cared for, but genuinely valued. Unfortunately, after years of patronage to mark special occasions or dates-to-impress at Scott’s, tonight’s visit was so bad that I’m still in disbelief. Earlier, my girlfriend and I stopped in for a nice evening of cocktails and a small bite. We sat at the bar, where the bartender was extremely pleasant and serving their always-fantastic martinis. But not long into our first drink, my(difficult to rattle) girlfriend was visibly upset. Shockingly, the two men sitting at the entranceway table were denigrating her physical appearance — discussing the size of her breasts, and remarking how they’d, «Get lost in them». My gut reaction was no way, but the mortification written all over her face left no doubt. Shortly after she explained what’d happened, one of the men(who I thought was a host, but apparently is a part owner?!!) stepped over to the bar for something, and while across from us, cheerfully asked how our evening was. I answered that it’d been fantastic… up until the point when he decided to discuss my girlfriend’s breasts within her earshot. Quite sadly, his oh-God-you-heard-that?! response was to deny saying anything. Which may be true… perhaps he was only agreeing with his table mate’s appalling commentary. Either way, no apology, just a quick retreat to his table where he muttered something to the other man who responded with an, «Oh well». Either it still didn’t register that she could hear them, or they Just Didn’t Care. I understand making mistakes, and saying inappropriate things. However, an establishment owner not only feeling entitled to discuss his patron’s breasts while sitting a few feet behind her, but to display not the slightest bit of remorse when it’s brought to his attention that it was loud enough to be heard, is classless and reprehensible. I’ve had revolting food, horrible service, and even both at once. But now, at the most unlikely of places — Scott’s on Fifth, I’ve just had my worst restaurant experience. The saddest part… is that it was much worse for the beautiful woman sitting next to me.

Passable, but not great. Inside of restaurant had a faint mold smell. Caesar salad was typical … Creamy dressing. The shrimp artichoke salad was too heavy on the dressing that was mixed into it. Clams with garlic were very good. Service was good. Dessert was a brownie covered in ice cream and caramel sauce. All passable but not great. Only considered a 5-star restaurant if you’ve never actually eaten in a true 5 star restaurant, which this does not even come close to.

Had dinner here with two friends about two months ago and due to a hectic schedule, just getting on-line to post my review. We had a wonderful evening at Scott’s on Fifth. The food was marvelous, the service was perfect and the diningroom is beautiful. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the fish with crab and spinach was a joy to eat. The portions are large and we were each able to take home a doggie bag(although the contents were too good to give to the dog to partake). Of course, dessert is a must and was served with lovely fan-fare and artistry. This is my new go-to restaurant in the area. The entire staff from the host, to the wait staff, to the owner/chef and assistants were first class and very knowledgable. Our entire experience was brilliant! Well done!!!

Scott’s is m favorite restaurant by far. My date and I both had the snapper which was seasoned and cooked to perfection… everything was delicious. The service was great. For those of you not familiar with Scott’s, let me sum it up. It’s a small restaurant within walking distance to the beach. In the kitchen you will find Celebrity Chef, Scott Earick, who is one of the owners. Scott is truly an amazing chef. On the menu you’ll find a combination of seafood, steaks, pasta and sometimes even Asian cuisine. Scott’s unique entrée creations are paired with sides that bring out surprising flavor combinations. It’s no surprise that Scott’s has received accolades from well known TV chefs and numerous food critics. The atmosphere is different to say the least. The décor is unique, kinda like Manhattan meets South Beach. You can dress elegant, shorts with flip flops or anywhere in between. Prices are very reasonable. This restaurant is not to be missed. Scott’s on 5th is definitely the best restaurant in Brevard County!!! Make a reservation… and don’t be surprised if a celebrity is sitting at the table next to you!

Such a disappointment. Excited to try Scott’s my party of 4 entered the restaurant and immediately met with an objectionable odor. We debated about whether to stay or go, we thought to hope for the best a stay. BIGMISTAKE!!! Things went from bad to worse with one in our party not able to eat their shrimp. Ten waitress was informed and she assured us it would be removed from the bill. When management inquired about our enjoyment of the meal when mentioned the odd smell in the establishment and the indelible, old fishy tasting shrimp. He looked over his glasses and just walked away. Did not apologize in anyway. Will never return or recommend this restaurant to anyone.

First timer… brought friends from NC. Service was great, food was very good. My husband asked for his pasta al dente and that’s what he got. Started with PEI mussels in a white wine, garlic sauce… fresh and sweet mussels. Then I had the seafood pasta again with the white wine garlic sauce. Huge portion! Shrimp, clams, mussels and lobster. Our friends had two kinds of fresh fish and my husband had the same seafood pasta but Fra Diavolo. The only thing we forgot to tell them was we were catching a show and had to rush through the main course. Yes it’s a tad pricey but we will be back again. And would love to go for a leisurely lunch. 27 years in Brevard… but sometimes it takes time to find a gem!

Scott’s is a great place for a date or a romantic evening out. After five or six visits I can confidently say the food and service in consistently excellent. I make it a point to stop in here while I am in Florida. Prices are on the high side but well worth it. Parking is a little tight behind the restaurant but ride your bicycle if you are close enough.

We just ate at this little gem of a place called Scott’s on Fifth. It was amaaaazing. From the little olives on the table when we first sat down(I have NEVER liked olives before) to the crab bisque, both of our main courses(he had stuffed shrimp, I had the lobster) and the chocolate dessert… every bite was delicious, I can’t emphasize this enough. The service was on point and friendly and the atmosphere was perfect with their intimate 12 tabled seating, everyone had a sunset view. I’m big on service(used to be a server) so I’m majorly critical. Not that it was a diamond in the rough(it’s on 5th avenue) but we felt like it was the best discovery so far that we’ve made since we’ve been here in the area!(2 ½ yrs with date nights once a month) Even better than Dijon’s which comes in second now that we know about Scott’s on Fifth. We will be back time and time again.

Great food great service. We tried to get in last year but were told they couldn’t accommodate us without reservations although no one was in the place. This year we made reservations and shared the restaurant with one other table. Worth the trip

Fascinating lunch. Had the special grilled pompano with lump crab. Homemade tomato basil soup and fresh, hot bread. Co-workers had the salmon, parmesan crusted and shrimp scampi. Perfect0! Attentive service. The lunch special is re must do. Small and quint, by the beach. You can watch scott, the chef prepare your food on the webcam, which we did on the i-phone while we composed the review.
